A certain Mr Battle led me to here. :-D I do dabble in "alternative photography" using light and movement (cheap lasers, LED lights, etc). All the best in what you do and I like your quick sketch of your other half in one of his videos - cartoon drawing is one of the other things I do a lot.

Thank you. I would be interested to know more about the lasers and LED lights. I'd like to make a UV exposure box for cyanotypes one day.

Love this process and your thoughts on bubble as metaphor. I have always admired your bubble photos. You are very generous sharing your knowledge.

Love your stuff, you're very skilled and creative and I love all of the different kinds of photography you touch on. Your work is extremely valuable and will no doubt inspire others, as it does me. I'll be trying this for my next Photography class assignment in college, for sure! Thank you and take care :)

Thanks! For this one I used a Canon 500D I think. Most of my other analogue images are using a Mamiya 645 (medium format film) and Canon EOS Rebel 35mm camera which can be found on ebay in the UK really cheap.

Hmm I forgot that LED lights can cause banding like that. Refresh rate of the light it gives off doesn't match the cameras speed. I wonder if halogens or fluorescent light bulbs would be better.

I really don't know the answer to the question, but I would be interested to try the same technique with all three to see the difference. :)

I've always been curious how photographers took photos of bubbles like this.
    Thanks for the info!
