You don't open the fridge hoping new things have magically appeared, you open the fridge to see if your standards have lowered enough to eat what's already in there.
Totally agree! Ending just left me depressed for watching. Horror movies aren’t known for happy endings or anything but this was just unbelievably bad. Doesn’t help that Doug Bradley’s character is incredibly annoying.
It was better when they were actually cannibals and had somewhat of a motive from people going into "their land". I don't like senseless horror movies that are violent for the sake of violence
I met Doug Bradley at a university event back I helped organized when I was in school. He came and gave a presentation about his film career, horror movies, and did some little make up effects. I also got to go out and have dinner with him afterwards. He's a very cool buy. Very well spoken, entertaining, and did some magic tricks for us! All in all a great time.
One of the worst slashers I’ve ever seen. The ending was to much and it didn’t help that Doug Bradley’s character is annoying AF so seeing him come out on top just makes it worse. I know he’s the old man from the original but he just felt like some random guy the cannibals bumped into.
Agree - one of the most annoying and unbearable characters in slasher history. The worst thing is that the movie tried so hard to make him into this hardass serial killer, but in the end he came across as an incompetent moron who were unable to do anything by himself.
@@thehitherto5348 Ikr? The director obviously thought that because it was Doug Bradley, he was automatically cool and we’d all be rooting for him. I wouldn’t of hated this entry so much if he really had been just some random idiot and the movie ended with the cannibals turning on him. Sadly that’s what I thought would happen upon watching since I didn’t realize he was supposed to be the guy from the original until later.
Bradley has a line near the start where he mentions their time in the Hospital, so these are meant to be the 3 Brothers from the previous movie. I think Bradley is just a serial killer that somehow bonded with them over "common interests"...
Hey Will, i recently watched the golden glove, a movie about an actual serial killer form the 70s in Germany. Thought it was a great movie with an amazing atmosphere, you should give it a look
God almighty, the amount of stupidity in this movie is unbelievable. Especially when letta lets him out of the cell wtf did she think was gonna happen? You don't trust a psychopath. Also, when she hides behind the bathroom door, she should have just stayed there, then she could've left after all the hillbillies do their killing
The one scene in this movie that causes me severe contempt, is when the officer breaks the glass on the front door of the store, and proceeds to UNLOCK AND OPEN the door when she could just WALK THROUGH THE GAPING HOLE THAT SHE CREATED
i remember my classmate making me and my friends watch this during a boring class back in college when our professor was out and i remember being so pissed at her for wasting my time
This was the worst in the series. I feel if Julian was the only survivor of this movie, I’d be fine with it. He was a guy that seemed to know a lot about survival. He was the only armed one of the group.
The Wrong Turn movies all get a free pass from me because they never fail to entertain me, but even I will admit some of them are just mindrapingly stupid. This is probably the dumbest, because of how serious it takes its ridiculous premise. And Doug Bradley plays one of the worst characters in horror history.
@@jessicaF61985 I'm not sensitive, I love horror movies but Wrong Turn 5 (from what I've heard) is one of the most miserably bleak and mean-spirited experiences you can have watching a film
Big Will, I love your Wrong Turn videos. In fact, I have watched your videos several times, and I am excited for your videos on the remaining movies. You are very entertaining, my friend. These movies, on the other hand... 😅
As a massive Wrong Turn fan I can safely say that this is my least favorite one. It just seems so mean spirited and the tone is way off from the previous movies.
Yeah as a slasher fan who generally loves mean spirited, they went way to far in the 3rd act. It wasn’t fun just unpleasant. The Sheriff’s death and Lita getting captured is just depressing to watch and it didn’t help that Doug Bradley’s character was so annoying....the director obviously thought otherwise..
Man, I really like wrong turn 1&2 but after those it just seemed to get cheaper and cheaper quality, with cheesier and cheesier shit going on.. Even the costumes and makeup of the cannibals gets worse and worse. I felt like the first two were really gritty and fresh and just did enough to keep it from being to cheesed up. But these other ones, like this one, 5. Just look like some kind of really amateur style movie. It looks like a movie you would see on TH-cam that was fan made. It just looks wack sauce..
With a chain as long as that attached to his feet, he could totally move/roll aside each time that shredder gets close or whatever but I guess laying there with his mouth open works too 💀 these characters are frustratingly slow.
So other than the bad make-up and odd plots, biggest problem is why are the brothers wasting so much food? Like they rampage through the town (who later forgets they exist?) and only took a small girl home to eat... that's just wasteful...
So all 3 of these guys are MacGyver/Rambo hybrids with healing factors. And Maynard can take and survive a shotgun blast point blank range with no issue? Yeah sure why not.
Ooof, if you pause it on the arrest info on maynard, it said "arrest date 2012" Considering this movie is set in 2003 someone really dropped the ball there!
To be honest, this movie had some flaws because the movie was very low budgeted, the make up looks awful, and how the town doesn't even look like a place from Virginia. But, this movie is very memorable from the characters and the kill scenes. I think this movie had potential if it had higher budget because the 1st and 2nd movies were only semi hits. I think this movie is underrated. But that's just me'

Never seen the movie, so I don't know what they are saying, but police officers are allowed to text, call, or use electronic devices while driving if it is pertaining to their duties.
Honestly, the second, third and this one are the ones I couldn't even remember. I just remembered two random scenes (the arrow through the boob and the guy buried and killed with the machine). The first is a classic. the fourth I really like and the sixth is weird because of the ''accepting my friends being killed to be welcomed into my family (how can you be that desperate for family?) and mating with this desperate, hacked up woman''.
First movie was boring. The Second movie was the best one.😅 I don't really know about the rest, I guess I kinda like the 'No Survivors' endings. That's the only thing I'll give them

Just saying, but when Will mentions at around 4:20 that the cops break the law by using the phone while driving. Real cops on the daily use radios to communicate, which is the literal equivalent of using a phone
I love the wrong turn movies because they’re so stupid they’re funny but the ending dialogue of this one with Maynard telling Lita “what’s going to happen to her” (not about to type what he actually said 🙃) I felt was unnecessary. It’s depressing and personally it was more disturbing than the gore to me. Wrong turn movies you expect tons of gore and people dying but Maynard really ruins it for me. And I’ll never forget the car scene with Lita 🤦♀️.
I will say however that cops are actually allowed to be on the phone while driving I mean yer it’s supposed to be work related and they probably abuse it but they are allowed so the movie got that right
I enjoy B-movies so this one was certainly an entertaining watch for me… up until the ending. I genuinely felt so bad after watching it - it’s so mean spirited and evil. Totally in contrast with the tone the other sequels set and definitely way too dark. Terrible ending, I genuinely have no idea why they did that: this is not what makes horror movies fun!
Yeah I remember the first time watching the end and what he says to her about what’s gonna happen to her it hit a different level of dark. I can’t get that scene out of my head to this day 🤦♀️.
