No matter how silly the movies are, I'll never get tired of the Wrong Turn franchise. Hopefully they'll make 30 more sequels, including Wrong Turn in Space.
You used to know its going downhill when they make the movie in space like Jason X or Hellraiser Bloodline, idk what that space phase was all about but it sucked
I love how in just 6 weeks, the main girl has gone from a dainty city girl, to a skilled killer capable of killing a big ass grown man, and 2-3 other grown men, in just mere seconds.
Well, what else is she going do out there? She said all’s she had to offer was herself so, she probably trained, in the hopes of escaping one day. Plus, she looked like she was already somewhat fit
This movie had an interesting concept but it was full of plot holes. If the mountain men were so benevolent then what was with all the belongings of missing hikers and the log trap?
I was so confused when they blinded their prisoners before throwing them in a DARK room. The thought of just being locked in that room is terrifying enough of itself...
There was also an escape route in the dark room, so blinding them would prevent them from escaping. If they did stumble and found the exit they’d probably just be found and taken back to the dark room
@@sickboy8914 I doubt it , we know it will be more fire dumpster trash . Nothing has ever been as good as the first and second movie. Everything after that is awful.
Exactly this move was definitely a unique take on this franchise good on the movie for at least being different enough to stand out from the other movies while also still being associated with the roots of the franchise.
The Facecam and the editing is great. I really like this New formula in terms of editing. It really adds Alot of personality to your videos! Great work!
This movie was painful to watch, because I actually live in western Virginia and our woods look NOTHING like what's in the movie, so right off the bat everything including the setting just felt wrong. I just googled it and sure enough they filmed in Ohio. Also they filmed the first 3 damn movies in Ohio, Canada, and BULGARIA? Like why?? Come to Virginia and West Virginia and ACTUALLY FILM MOVIES HERE. It's super gorgeous scenery and we're nice for the most part 🥺
This movie is okay, but honestly it just doesn’t make much sense. They claimed that they were never going to harm them but if that’s the case where did the log come from? Also they claim that they were just going to take the guy down the mountain but as we’ve seen later in the movie with her dad, they’re quick to sentence people to darkness for simply being there, I find it very hard to believe that they were just going to leave him alone and even harder to believe that they weren’t the cause of the rolling log smashing that guy’s head in. I don’t like the movie portraying them as the victims at first when they were very clearly insane.
I love how in the movie, the group of people telling everyone how they shouldn't judge others, end up judging others, even going so far as to commit murder
Exactly , the whole judge and jury BS was beyond dumb. They tried to play victim when all along they were setting traps for people , to hunt and kill them. And if it really was one big misunderstanding then they would have made that clear from the beginning, instead of HOG TIEING one of them for dinner 🙄😑🥱.
As a Virginia native that lives in the mountains I found this hilarious. You can walk 10 miles in a straight line literally anywhere in the state and find a road or a trail. You're in the woods but it's not a super low population density like wyoming or montana.
The remake of The Hills Have Eyes is freaking badass, I can't believe it doesn't get more love. Definitely needs more exploration and sequels, I thought it was one of the best horror of the early 2000's.
My god, I just today rewatched your whole Wrong Turn series and wondered both of you’d get around to this film, and if I’d ever get to see what you look like. Killing two hillbillies with one stone here, I see!
This movie was decent except for some glaring issues like how Darius has a chance to escape, but is just like, “Meh, these people accept me so I’m gonna stay.” This is also after he just watched them bash his friend’s skull in and permanently blind another with a hot iron. Like.. what? Also, the lack of the disfigured cannibals made this lack any semblance of a “Wrong Turn” movie. The original is still superior to anything they’ve made since. Chris will always be a badass legend.
The main characters were all insufferable with the blonde being the least insufferable one at first. They all make bad decisions starting from wandering off the trail when warned not to, to running down the hill while a massive log was rolling down it (which was likely pushed down by someone) thinking they could outrun it, then leaving camp without even staying to see if their friend would come back or at least looking for her, along with several more examples of stupid behavior. Once during their trial, when asked why they felt threatened enough to kill someone, no explanation from the group as to them being watch, their cell phones disappearing, being hog tied with a bag over his head and no explanation, or the massive log that crushed their friend? I still wonder how Adam managed to free himself from being hog tied. The mountain people say they just want to be left alone, supposedly setting up traps to ward off people from wandering too far from the trail, but none of the traps are meant to maim people, only kill, which would only bring more people out to the mountains to discover what happened. I think this could have been better if they didn't try to explain the mountain people and lowered their numbers to maybe a dozen, and get rid of the current year politics that the characters were preaching.
I'd never seen any of the Wrong Turn movies. This one was my first. I thought it was good for what it was. The only thing that aggravated me was the ridiculousness of the People in the Woods, and their trial. The group of young adults definitely had their prejudices, but I kept thinking "Ok, so is everyone forgetting that they had the guy hogtied and a sack over his head, while walking off with him? The Woods people were trying to make it seem like the young people jumped to bad conclusions about them based off ignorance and prejudice. NOO!! It's because you had dude hogtied to a tree, with a sack over his head, walking off with him. That's Not what you do if you're trying to help someone that's hurt." Dafuq 😠 I did and up watching the first one, and recaps videos for the others, so I understand why people would say it's not really a Wrong Turn movie. I still think it was good.
i definitely get that and honestly , in the moment , i would probably jump to the wrong conclusion but watching the movie the first and even second time , it did seem as if the two were telling the others to leave . WITH that being said , i don't know if i trust the idea that the people in the woods would have just let the guy go considering how many people they threw in the darkness
Not even just that, keep in mind they had just lost a friend to the rolling log and saw someone watching they after it happened. Human nature is going to put two and two together and conclude that, the stranger that watched but offered no help might be up to no good. There were a few things that contributed to their skewed perspective about the woods folk ( ?).
Will is such a good movie commentary TH-cam in my opinion he is at The level with dead meat and cinema summary, his Voice fits the role perfectly keep up the good work and nice beard man.
Considering everything, The Mountain Villagers killed one of the Friend Group FIRST (With the Log), they were innocent, they could only assume that the rest of them would be killed too. i would do the same in this situation
I wonder if that falling down the hill bit was taken from Lone Survivor as there is a brutal scene where the surviving soldiers are retreating and do it so fast they lose their footing and tumble hitting some trees pretty hard.
How did they lose their phones? With a gay man and a women in their group in this day and age to try and get them off instagram for more than a few hours is next to impossible.
I'm going to come clean and say that I really enjoyed the newest wrong turn film over the others (Not including the original) For me it was a fresh reboot hah
The first half was cringey and boring and just made me shout at the film for being nonsensical a lot. The second half was quite scary, especially that darkness cave with those poor people suffering. That just got me.
"Turns out he isn't so fond of people speaking other languages, so he proceeds to knock one of the men unconscious. Then proceeds to knock the man REALLY unconscious" Jesus's I'm howling 🤣
Problems I had with this movie - good as a stand-alone. I don't get why she just didn't say she and her boyfriend will join the village and help them expand the village and make them more self-sufficient instead of offering herself up to the village chief. That should have worked to convince the villagers as well since they spared the guy's life along with her own.
So to recap they went off trail after being told not to in a forest they have no experience in, watched a friend get smashed by a tree that clearly wasnt just falling from the sky, then spot a creeper watching this all happen which is clearly a great sign. They then proceed to pitch tents and all just go to sleep an leave their phones in their bags outside of the tents....

Well you see, this way they're blind .... And unable to see the dark! SCARRERRRYYYYYYYY........ Yeah I can't explain it either...
I think the blinding was just punishment, and the dark room is just dark because why waste lights/torches for that room?
There was also an escape route in the dark room, so blinding them would prevent them from escaping. If they did stumble and found the exit they’d probably just be found and taken back to the dark room
Let’s get prepared for another 10 sequels this decade 🤣
