- These events were conducted as a part of OSMECON-2014 which took place on 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th September, 2014. OSMECON is a pan India Undergraduate Medical Conference conducted annually by Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad and its associate hospitals.

Attaining clinical knowledge and buttyfying mcqs are different...those who all crack McQ can't catch patients pulse
DNB passing rate is too low and it makes sense that DNB is better than MD
Suggestions-
1.Govt should upgrade 100 DISTRICT HOSPITALS investing 100 crore in each of these 100 district hospitals to make it a training institute for DNB and also paramedical courses. Also population of that district then would be able to avail better quality treatment at these upgraded district hospitals
2. DNB hospitals should be attached with Apex Medical college of that state and central Govt medical colleges if available. DNB trainees should attend classes, seminars at these medical colleges. Also DNB trainees should have rotation in these apex medical college hospitals for 6 months.
3. Make national level COMMON EXIT EXAM for both MD/MS and DNB. This will ensure the parity between postgraduate trainees of both of these qualifications.
4.DATABASE of video lectures and clinical video material should be made by some Central Govt medical college like PGI or AIIMS so that postgraduate medical trainees can access these clinical procedure videos and learn the material even if someone immediately senior doctor is not available to train them.
5. Increase the stipend to atleast 50k/mth and make it more of less same across the states with incentive stipends of extra 10k in backward district hospitals.

Md closes at high ranks too for private colleges . I know many joined DNB ,they doesn’t want to pay those high fees for Md . Studying Md at private colleges is waste

DNB will be recognised if you relocate to UK. Your MD won't be recognised there at all be it England,Scotland or Ireland.
Indian MD/MS degree is not well recognised internationally coz MD examinations are not conducted by National bodies,DNB exams are conducted by National Board and it's OSCE based same pattern as the exams conducted internationally
Why do people choose DNB knowing that it's difficult to pass ??
A body where we don't have any provision of revaluation or retotalling, had a very bad experience with national board
Even for attempt in many questions teachers award 0 marks
Students are intentionally being failed in DNB

Cause they didn't get college through NEET. They're studying mbbs through money , not Merit.
