    I watched your video about 8 times before I got enough nerve to try to modify my HDX68. I increased my HDX from about 135 FPS to well over 340 FPS buy simply
    Drilling out the restrictor, the black plastic piece inside the valve. I want to say I drilled it to 3/8 from what it was. You have to be EXTREMELY careful when doing this.
    When I first put the gun back together it leaked like a bitch. I dunno why I was super careful following the instructions. I took it mostly apart again and when I reassembled it
    this time it worked perfectly. I used ONE full CO2 And one empty just to check. Gun worked flawlessly ever since and I''ve taken my HDX apart a couple more times.
    I thank you for this awesome video. Very detailed and accurate.

    TRY LOOKING FOR THE ONE SCREW THAT THOSE PRICKS AT UMAREX USE LOCKTIGHT ON!!!!! I just had to drill out the blasted screw from the casing. It is the one on top right next to the rail mount screw and above the trigger assembly. Nothing i tried would get that loose. Since it was aluminium there was no way to heat it. To be frank, they didn't use any on any of the other screws so I didn't suspect that in the least. it is not like any locktight I have ever seen. It was silver and caked in the threads. Those weren't stripped threads... it was a substance that filled in between the threads. I have to see if i can find a similar screw as I was careful enough not to go all the way through. Even my T4E side by side didn't give me this much trouble and that one is jacked because of a seal leak at the pressure chamber that I simply cannot fix. My last attempt was using epoxy and it isn't coming apart anytime soon. Thankfully, I can use an adapter with a valve that can accommodate either a 16gram screw in or an 88 gram screw in. I just want to change out the pin in this HDX to get this SOB from a pea shooter to the 40 joules promised by MCS who also promised the factory upgraded one would be out in February and now is pushed back to July. Fuuuuuck.... this disassembly is a tough one. MCS offered me the anemic US version with an upgraded pin for me to install. I knew that this one would be harder but I didn't think that much harder. I'm starting to get a little put out with Umarex. My luger works for shit. My 1911 works for shit too. The Grease gun is just opk. The german MP, schmiesser, will simply refuse to feed at times. The thompson I am not touching cause I am sure that one will go to shit too. The side by side is fun and hits HARD but is unreliable. I am coming to the conclusion that Umarex makes CRAP.

    • @ModernIntel
      @ModernIntel  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Doesn't sound like a great experience!!! but ours couldn't be any more different, we've had very little problems with any of the T4E stuff and would go as far as to say its some of the most reliable paintball product out there.

    • @Joreel
      @Joreel 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could have just bought the 40J version from less lethal defense directly. There is also a company in New York that makes a 50J version as well instead of trying to do it yourself and giving yourself a massive headache.
