@@condortactical2020 Only thing I could think of would be to get a restrictor that somebody's taken out and see if you can put it in your launcher. I've never messed with a 40 from the factory to know how it's made on the inside.

I'm so lost on how you're calculating joules. The HD 50 comes out the box at 400-450 and it's 11 joules. I've tried looking up the formula but math was never my thing. Any suggestions?
It's a calculation between the weight of the ammo and the feet per second. There are plenty of apps and websites that do it for you. Just search FPS and joules calculator
Kinetic energy (in joules) = 1/2mv^2, which is said as "half m v-squared". The 'm' is mass (in kilograms) and the 'v' is velocity (in metres per second). Because the velocity is squared, if you double it (but keep the mass the same), you quadruple the energy, whereas if you double the mass (but keep the velocity the same), you only double the energy.

But you need to change the pin to get maximum power in these. HDR 68 is about the only one you can get away with not changing the pin on and still get the best power

I just did this to my HDB and surprisingly the valve cap came out really easily. No loctite at all on it. Gonna hook it up to an HPA tank. Thanks for the informational video sir! 👍👍
Have u ever placed a 48 CI tank onto the MCS tank adapter? Can that plastic fitting handle the weight? im considering buying a larger tank, but am unsure if the MCS adapter can handle the weight of a 48 ci tank. the tank adapter seems like its made out of plastic
First off, damn impressive video! You make the mod look simple. Question for you, though. What tool did you use to get the brass piece out? Mine must belt tilted in well. I found what looked like needle nose with rods for time (used to shape wire) but they were too flimsy to turn the part. I gave up but really want to try again. Thx!

@DKSpencerCustomKinetics the restrictor is different from the valve block isn't it? The restrictor is the little disk with the hole in it in the chamber where the 12g co2 cartridge goes, the valve block sits behind the threaded golden cap...do I have that right?
@@shamegames5290 there's a restrictor in the valve block that you need to remove to get more power The little disc you're talking about is also a restrictor but that comes with your PIN and that is to be used when you're using CO2 with no restrictor in the valve block to keep it from farting
So to answer your question the restrictor That you're talking about It's not going to matter either way if you're using air but you want it in if you're using CO2 but the plastic restrictor that's actually inside the valves system needs to be removed no matter what you're doing. The little disc would need to be removed out of the handle if you're going to use air through the handle not through the back

It can only be modded to 50J look for yourself on google, also his gun is only modded to maybe 30j tops at less than 400fps. At 50j it would be shooting at 600fps easy
@@ennz69 You obviously know nothing about this stuff. You don't even realize that heavier ammo is higher joules at lower FPS. Think about it, son, if you throw a baseball at the same power as a soft ball, the soft ball is slower due to weight. Learn something before you call someone with this many videos and this much experience in this a liar when you didn't even understand the most basic physics of it😂. And, there's lots of guys with MORE power than this out of these.

@@Girock You need to add the disk that comes with pin whether you add the pin or not if you are using CO2

Can't you pull the restrictor out the back like the hdp50? Imstead of taking all the screws out and pulling the whole thing apart
