I got a SNG DGG many years ago. It doesn’t have the digi camo, its black and silver. I am glad I pulled the trigger on it. It is my favorite knife. Striders look crude until you hold and use one, then they are beautiful!

I love this knife , saving for one . I like any knife with this shape and a top flipper but doesn’t really matter because this shape feels good to me , even upside down feels even better .
That's an awesome version of the SNG. MXG Gear makes a deep carry pocket clip for the SNG. I have one on my Protech SNG and it's great.
I like striders i have got a smf and it has been my only carry for a long time, i have to say that g10 construction is as strong as an ox.
By the way, i like the medford made one too.
I wasn't planning on it but if this is a genuine monkey eggs, I'm sold

I’m not really into customs or midtechs. My MT manual Socom Elites and a few others have as much quality and price as I want. But, always loved the SNG and that would be an exception.
This steel craze drives me nuts. I have a lot of higher end steel (20CV, M390, M4, Elmax, ZDP189 etc) on good knives. Design, ergos, quality, lock, overall F&F all come before steel type for me. But, I’m careful what I buy now due to resale value. I’ve read tons of comments on YT etc-‘I wouldn’t pay 75 for N690 or VG10 etc.
It’s nice having different steels and high edge retention but most modern steels all have their benefits (corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening) and are fine on good knives.

Not sure what is about the Strider SMG's but it has always been my number one grail knife. The one in this video is pretty close to what I'd say is the perfect SMG. (besides maybe the blade steel) Great video once again MC.

I had several striders from back in the day and some of them were hit or miss on lockup etc.. I have heard good things about their recent stuff. BTW, it used to be heavily argued from Strider hardcore fans that the lock rock was a feature and that while the lock moves, it won’t fail

Great review and its a beauty of a knife. If I'm gonna spend ALOT of money on a folder. Ill get the Cold Steel Espada XL (Not the G10 model). The other one would be the Boker LEO 1, 2 or 3.

About your preference of cpm 154, iv only worked with 154cm but its an awesome steel. Almost right down the middle of everything good in a steel. I need to play with the particle version

There might be some who hold this view, but I think it’s mostly his thing. This wouldn’t be in my trinity especially with the inconsistencies with fit and finish.

But it's all easy hindsight now. When I say "holy trinity" I'm not just randomly applying it to these three brands. They are historically, the "holy trinity" of high end production knives. You can trace this term back quite a ways on bladeforums, and you'll find that it exclusively applies to these 3. The term was created when these 3 were all being heavily argued about on the forums because they were all in the same price range, made in the US, used some of the best materials available, and with the exception of the Sebenza, were very difficult to obtain.
The Striders I've handled have all honestly been great, but I can totally understand your perspective
I want just a Regular version tanto or not sng so bad I think it might be my thing like Hinder is to you lol I have a pro-tech sng coming i wanted that one bad but While I've been waiting on it I've already Decided that I want a straight up strider sng to

i dont like strider, overrated as hell. the one i got had terrible fit and finish and was not worth the money
Please take this a constructive criticism. Your "stick" is getting old. You keep saying the same couple things over and over in every video. You know what I'm talking about. As I've seen it referred to in other comments. I liked your channel when you first come on the scene. Im still trying to like it.But hearing the same "stick" over and over again is making it difficult. Its extremely cringy.
