Striders production knives pivots and lock interface don’t come anywhere near CRK tolerance/fitment. That being said I have multiples of both and like them for different reason’s.
@@Hazmat0357 good to know, the blades been modified anyway so I'm sure the warranty is voided regardless...but that is the last knife I think I'd worry about a warranty with anyway. It's been a good one. 😎🤜🤛
@@apex_alchemy_knives found your video because I have an Strider SnG performance on the way and I have 8 other CRKs. 4 of them inkosi’s. Nice video my man.
That’s right…. I forgot about the aluminum show side that replaces the g10. I don’t think either really diminishes the SNGs durability. I’ve had a few SNGs and SMFs and beat the crap out of a most of them. Currently have both a SNG and a Sebenza 31 Insigno Magnacut. Trying to decide which I want to keep.
I had a large inkosi tanto for a while I carried often. Was a great knife. Ended up trading tho. When I first got into the knife game a Strider was always my MAIN grail but never got one. They're so expensive for what you're getting! But I still want one! Love the gunner grip esp if it's ti! Also love the heat ano they do on lock side love it a lot.
I don't think I've handled a gunner in Ti...but dude...I'm really liking this one in g10. It's always there. Most knives cost a lot for what you're getting. I just bought a loaf of bread a couple days ago for $3.99 and half if it's moldy. Reckon I'll get a better return outta any knife I actually use. 😆😆
Thanks Rusty! Man I've got a few boxes to get recorded. I'll get through them as quick as possible brother. 😎👊 lemme know if I owe you anything for shipping.
The SnG and cargos dont mesh, i think its part what you said about the ergos and partly the way cargo pockets are made, they have a different cut. On the lock, check out the other one i sent, i carried that knife everyday for like a year, it proba ly needs to be taken apart and bent over just a bit so it locks up tighter. There is definitely some wear that has to happen for them to mate perfectly, a little like an Emerson. Also, for the record I would wager that G10 is tougher than titanium, titanium is pretty soft. That being said, half face blades makes a folder that is a milled single piece for the frame and lock side. I want to try one of those. It's so funny though, i would take the Aluminum scaled SnG over the g10 now, 10 to 1. Different strokes for different folks.
So comparing the quality of the build on the CRK to Jack Wolf is a good enough selling argument for me. I am intrigued by Strider Knives but CRK is more on my radar for some reason.
I love em both. I'm not sure I've ever touched a knife closer to perfection than the jack wolf...but there is the argument that jwk are entirely cnc machined. Still damn impressive to me.
I don't carry a lot of stud/hole deployment only knives. Usually just my Benchmade Rift or AD-20 Slim. Iike the aesthetics of the CRKs though. And I've heard terrible things about the lock stick on the Striders. Cool video.
I don't want to sound negative , but both knives aren't my speed. That being said I can still appreciate them for what they are. Thanks for the video Billy.
@apex_alchemy_knives ya do kno that comment is on here forever now&that Mrs. ApexAlchemy will probably see it& with a dull blade remove your ability to bait 🤣
Also I'd say the CRK is tougher than any G10 Strider. Arguably tougher than a full ti strider! Crk has thicker scales than most knives that aren't clearly over built on purpose like Messer Midgard or PMP, Maxace etc. Let's hope you never have to use your $700 knife to rescue children from a burning building! (And I've seen STRIDER show off how their G10 will NOT survive the flames!) I've heard SO many complaints on Strider lower end production stuff (even his custom work), never so with CRK. Or it's much rarer. Value goes to CRK. Also not a fan at all of Rick Hinderer or his knives rather have just about anything else at the price.
Yeah sometimes people or experiences leave a sour taste in our mouths. I'm not a hater of any brand specifically. And man if it comes down to flames...I doubt I'm using a knife at all, but I get it....I understand that some people have no choice. Or they don't have time to think...so every problem looks like a nail and their knife looks like a hammer. I've usually got a fixed blade somewhere near by. It doesn't have to be life threatening for me to choose a fixed blade over a folder for any serious work. I'm not sure how I missed this comment but it appeared to have slipped through the cracks. Sorry about that.

I like the smaller one for a carry but the bigger one may be great also. 😂 all knives are good

You did not just void the action on the CRK by flicking it open. You void it by whipping your hand like you’re packing SKOAL when trying to open it

@10:10 what on the Strider is aluminum?
If you dont purchase a strider with g10 scales I believe you get aluminum on the show side. I've yet to own one so I am absolutely no expert. 👊💪
