      Apes. Snakes are reptiles and lay eggs where as humans are mammals... So probably they were evolved to human ( this is science ) ............ But who knows GOD is supreme..... Ans this vedio is very interesting

    0:48 I believe what they claim is true. I belong to the bunt community from tulunadu (to give a context, 'bunt' is a present day upper caste in Karnataka and our community lives mainly in tulunadu, that is Mangaluru and Udupi. Some notable people belonging to this community are Aishwarya Rai, Sunil Shetty, etc,). I was always interested in knowing my lineage since we bunts hold quite a pride in our name. Our recent ancestors were traders and bussinessmen, but there was no clear 'story' of where we came from. I did some research and found out that bunts are traditionally believed to be the descendants of nagavanshi kshatriyas.
    *Nagavanshi kshatriyas* are the descendants of lineage of warriors or Kshatriyas who had direct roots to serpents or nagas, and it is believed that they are direct descendants of Takshaka or Vasuki. I did not know that bunts were Kshatriyas, but it makes sense because our close ancestors were presumably rich landowners in Tulunadu.
    Also, this must be the reason naga is a deity in our community. Nagas hold high reverence and are often linked with fertility and prosperity.
    Every year, we bunts go to this one place which is believed to be our 'moolasthana' for this particular Pooja, where we worship stone idols of nagas in an open space. If you come to Mangaluru or Udupi, you will find these stone idols of Naga almost everywhere like you find temples.
    That must be also the reason why our elders in our community always told us to marry within the caste. It's not because of the caste system or anything, it's because they want to preserve our lineage. Literally gives me chills

      @d-rai ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@drithishetty3377 I thought the same too, but when I did a lot of research in pre University days along with my friends, everything lead to this common story. Call it a myth, call it history, but as you said yourself we do actually revere snakes as god's. If it was just a tale, why doesn't everyone do it? Why is it just us that have this unique tradition? I would love to do some actual research on our lineage after I finish my bachelor's, but I don't have much time now since I'm a med student. If you're interested, perhaps you can look into it yourself. I'm 19 btw

    • @d-rai
      @d-rai ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@mr.character720 What part of my comment made you assume so? I was just sharing my story here. We belong to karnataka because Tulunadu was included in Karnataka state after partition and I as a teenager in 2023 can do nothing about it. But actually speaking, we have nothing in common in culture, language, tradition, belief with those of mainstream karnataka. It would've been better if they had made Udupi and Mangaluru into a different state because the main feature of all indian states is the difference in culture, language, attire, tradition etc,.
      Also, do you want to know why the people here so not wish to be a part of Karnataka? Because the government doesn't seem to consider us a part of Karnataka itself. They do basically nothing to improve our place. Whenever there's election, all they are focused is on pleasing okkaligas and lingayats. They do nothing to stop the Kerala muslims who come to Mangaluru to study because of quality education but create chaos and havoc here. That's a whole new story now. There's a Kerala story happening everyday in Mangaluru/Udupi that the government doesn't seem to care, nor does media. I'll put it right in front of your face. My older cousin had a classmate in school who went to study at Yenepoya college, again a college in Mangaluru found by a Kerala muslim I believe. It's a muslim college and there are majority muslims. So what happened is that in late 2000s, idk which year exactly because I was a kid back then, this friend went missing. There was no news coverage on that. Her college friends told her parents she had a muslim boyfriend from kerala and he must've been the reason behind it. Have you heard of the incident in Udupi last month where a bunch of Muslim students filmed hindu girls in toilet and sent it to their male friends. The government supported the Muslim girls instead. They do literally nothing for us. They are only concerned about the students here when our districts top in board exams. That's the issue with karnataka

      So just because snakes are seen negatively, they are automatically "wrong" in their interpretation as that interpretation doesn't match with your immature interpretation of how everything is supposed to be good and nice to be real? The world is not a strawberry world for goodness' sake! For them to be wrong in their interpretation they need to be untrue in their description only, irrespective of how positive or negative their interpretation is! Which btw you still haven't proved how they are! By default, you have the thoughtless mass on your side due to their tribalism and bias is the reason why you are getting such positive responses for saying this baseless BS! Other than that you have no proof/logic to say this!
      kabhi saap dekhe ho? They freaking bite! They are unreliable and untrustworthy as pets! Agar saap inte achhe hai toh ghar pe paal na tu! Woh toh nahi karega! Air phir yaha bakwas pelega!

    The topic itself is quite an enigma. There are so many legends. Some say, the shape shifters (ichchhadharis) still dwell among us. But this is purely mystical, and is a subject of great interest. 👍⚜️

    Being an atheist i love to find the logic in philosophies to fit into my mind. This is no disrespect like any other culture, i follow my culture "atheism" so according to me what i have concluded, or you can say according to my culture, the nagas as also snakes can kill anyone with their poison, even after killing them their head remains moving. That might be the reasons why other cultures think they are so supreme. Or else, in ancient times size of snakes used to be too big that might be other reason too. Or one more theory is that there might be snake in ancient period which would have some kind of liquid to heal a person killed using poison of snake (so called antivenom). In the end i'd like to say that in internet its too hard to share your opinion, as you can see i wrote like a whole paragraph just to share one simple opinion. And also why do i keep commenting long comments nobody views them.
    btw i am a hindu(most logical religion according to me)

    In Christianity we believe that when God prohibited Adam & Eve to eat the forbidden apple from the tree of knowledge,the devil came in the form of serpent and lured Eve to eat it and that's how they became to know things like they're naked. In my opinion if they have not eaten the apple there would never be social discrimination based on beauty,castes,rich &poor etc

    As a Naga from Nagaland we don't claim our Origin with Snakes. Please do the homework properly. Just because people in Nagaland are known as Naga does not mean our origin is related to Nag. 'Naga' means pierced ear or 'realms of Naked' and it was given by the British during their colonial rule.

Nagas lived side by side and taught everything humans know now, and now people laugh at it because it’s not coming from a foreigner or evidence after research very scientific not values or beliefs. Hinduism is old religion because we know something others don’t.
