Asura guru shukracharya had technique of bring back dead asuras back to life. On other hand Devas were getting killed and their numbers were dwindling. Samudra Manthan was done to extract Amrit so that Devas can drink it and become immortal. It was after they drank Amrit that the Devas won a final battle against the Asuras and permanently sent them to a qorld below the surface of the Earth. Thus we are today free from the assaults of the Asuras.

@realtalkclipp I believe Samudra manthan was done to get Shree Laxmi ji out of Samudra. She had to go deep down the ocean due to the curse. Once upon a time, Rishi Durvasa gifted something (I didn't remember the name) to Indra which Indra put on the trunk of Airavat. Airavat threw away. By seeing this Rishi Durvasa got angry since his gift was thrown away and cursed Indra that all the Devas will lose their shrees (means all goddesses and their wealth). Due to this even Shree Laxmi has to part the way and had to go deep down the ocean. The main reason behind Samudra Manthan was to bring Shree Laxmi Ji out of Ocean and bring wealth and good fortune.

Its a shame the speaker started with a negative when answering why Shiv ji was the only one to consume the poison and not Vishnu ji or Brahma Ji - His response let the Gods of others take it why only our Gods ! Turtle is the second avatar of Vishnu. Turtle can live in water as well as on land. Fish was the first avatar of Vishnu. Fish can only live in the water, can not live on land. So turtle is the progress of lives on earth after fish, that can live both in water and on land. Same way, then after whatever avatar came, that is another level of progress. A brain of a human being is the final stage of the progress, we can not progress anymore. Ram also a human and Krishna was also a human. But Krishna is called purna swaroop avatar where as Ram had some limitations like he was not the man of music, dance, love, etc...which is all colors of life. Whereas Krishna is full of life, full of every ras of life. So Krishna is the purna swaroop, that is the final stage of a human being on progressive path. The final and last avatar of Vishni will be Kalki who will come at the end of Kaliyuga when there will be extreme level of crimes

हमको ये आशा नहीं थी , छिर सागर मे समुद्र मंथन हुआ था , वो मंथन जल का था ना की उसके अंदर की प्रथ्वी का ,ऑर्त धरती से मंद्रचल पर्वत को ले कर गए थे।
भगवान को अमर होने k लिए अमृत की जरूरत नहीं थी ,वो देवताओं के लिए थे ।
शिव देवो के देव महादेव है इसलिए हलाहाल विष वहीं पी सकते थे,
जब शिव जी ने विष पीना शुरू किया माता पार्वती ने अपने एक हाथ से उनके गले को पकड़ लिया जिससे विष गले में ही रहा ,
उसके बाद माता ने उनको दूध पीने को दिया जिससे विष का असर कम हो ।
इसलिए हम लोग प्रभु को दूध अर्पित करते है ,
मा मंसा जो शिव पुत्री है , उन्होंने शिव जी का आधा विष पान किया था , ये भी एक लम्बी कथा है ।
