- Process of how to change the dog bone engine mount or stabilization or pendulum engine mount mount ( haddi mount in local language ) on a volkswagen , skoda or audi car
easy process of just 10-15 mins and takes basic hand tools just a 16 mm wrench
common problems due to bad mount are noise and vibration inside the cabin , and this mount is the most common culprit for increased cabin noise and vibrations .
process remains same for volkswagen polo , vento , jetta , passat , mk4 , mk5 , mk6 , mk7
skoda fabia , rapid , octavia , superb

Looks like you have a B6 Passat? The Passat B7 has a separate smaller dog bone mount and rear mount bush and removing and replacing that bush is a huge pain

Will a bad motor mount create knocking sound under load? I'm facing an issue where the car steering is vibrating and I can here a knocking sound when the car is under load and moving. It goes off in higher rpms. It's a 8yr old polo 1.2 TDI.
Sir for knocking sound i will suggest you to use a fuel system cleaner along with diesel and use better diesel , change the pump from where you get the fuel

Sir i actually never felt the need of changing it untill i did , the difference in cabin noise was world apart , so i feel like 4yrs is the rite time
Can dis part impact the car when you driving on speed humps... I can always feel the "" huchh "noise
Sir if the noise is coming from suspension then it won't do anything .
Only thing it will do is to reduce the amount of noise and vibration from the engine to the cabin
And it also supports the engine against torque rotations .
Over humps, if it makes noise. It's drop links usually

Sir my skoda rapid tdi steering has become hard after alignment...again got alignment in another shop....but still didn't get resolved ...plz suggest some remedy...
Are you sure alignment is done correctly ?
Tell them to make you assure with help of a simple thread , most of times these alignment guys don't even know how to observe the readings on the screen , they just do it to pretend in front of customer ,that they know what they are doing , and sometimes it's machine error .
@@yourDIYneeds yes sir I hv also some doubt about the proper alignment ...before the alignment there was little play in steering ..but it was soft and light to handle ....and now it is so hard that I'm loosing my confidence of handling in cornering sharp turns in speed...

Sir changing just the core of turbo doesn't go a long way , it just works for about a year and then same problem again . So better off with a new turbo , rather than a core .

Sir you can go to scrap market for a second hand turbo , but complete unit , which will be as good as a new one , there are markets where total loss cars are stripped down to each and every part for reselling

Yes , those vibration will get damped , like 70 % of those will go away and rest with transmission Mount , ( next or next to next video ) 😅

Sir, in my vento 1.6 TDI whenever i release the clutch , accelerate or deaccelerate , i hear clunk sound. Just want to know weather is it the main transmission mount or dogbone mount causing this issue?

Sir then have to get it dis-assembled and swap it with new one

But timing belt condition is now good..
Sir , it's wise to change at the same time . Because if something goes wrong at a later stage , then you will pay the same labour charges again to get the work done , which was supposed to be done at one time

Sir it doesn't matter , means doesn't need perfectly flat surface , but still needs to be nearly flat so that engine is in the right orientation , not like left side on incline and right on flat
What happens if we don’t chnge this mount
Increased vibration gets transferred to the cabin , resulting in more cabin noise

Sir I did it after 73k kms
I did at 70k kms thanks again for this video. Approximately 20 percent of the rubber disappeared in the removed one(2009 manufactured car)

Not a big issue , keep driving , because you have to get the whole timing side dis-assembled to just get the leak repaired ?
Is it putting a major impact on oil level ?

If your mounting is soft, you will feel jerk or play while shifting gears and sudden acceleration.
If mount is hard then you will feel every vibration on your steering wheel and bottom of your seat and on pedals as well
So it needs a perfect balance of hardness and softness

I am facing a problem in my rapid tdi. The check engine light is glowing and the glow plug light is constantly flashing. I did obd scan . The error codes are:
P2426
P261A
P261B
Actually the glow plug light started flashing after obd scan. The mechanic soldered some wire and after soldering glow plug light started flashing.
Please let me know if you have idea where is the problem.
2426 is EGR cooler
And 261 is secondary coolant pump , or auxiliary coolant pumps , which helps in circulation of the coolant . .you have a vento ?
Try solving the coolant pump first , it's not working

No sir , stabilization mount doesn't leak to engine shake , it will just start to transmit vibration inside your car's cabin

Sir i bought it offline from a trusted source , but there are good online sources like "bodmoo" which you can try
