I can't thank you enough. I watched about 4-5 guides before this and almost all of them were just walkthroughs talking about which boons or afflictions they were taking. They would say "This pact is good because we can take lose 50% max resolve pacts later" and I would be wondering what the hell resolve is. Your guide is the first I have seen that actually breaks down the basics of how sanctum works and doesn't just assume someone is already familiar with the mechanics. Thank u!
I'm sanctum runner for all leagues when it was available and when I wanted to tell my friends to how Sanctum works, there was 0 useful videos anywhere, only generic explanation. But man, you video GOAT, thanks for doing that!
@@ufaklik5781 occu Hb early on, into power charge stacking. The only expensive item is Ralakesh, but judging by that this will be melee league and reduced popularity for HB (at least one that use Ralakesh, mapping trickster don't use them, and trickster HB is the only popular forcing HB that I've seen by content creators) + recent fix for Eternal Damnation, they should cost kinda low (aprx from one to few divines early on). But you can even farm it without Ralakesh boots, only problem that any tome above lvl 72 will be difficult. With Ralakesh + PC shield + doedre's gloves + tabula + doedre's hat + +1 lvl to all/chaos skill gems shield/wand/amulet, you can easily farm 75 lvl sanctum with helmet relic and it will generate it you a lot of currency. Then you'll have covenant/ward body + battery wand and visage, so even 83 tomes will be easy for you. Edit: early on medium clusters is godsend into damage increase.

@6:25 there's actually 3 shortcuts in that room. Straight after you've completed the first shortcut and run past where the fireballs spawn you will see a corner (in this vid the corner is up top). You can flame dash etc over that

I've watched a lot of guides for PoE over the years,and this is without a doubt the highest quality, most informative, and least confusing/bloat heavy guide I've seen yet. I watched this through one time, ran my FIRST ever Sanctum and... unfortunately died to Lycia final phase when she was 33% hp because I dashed into the tornado lmaooo Amazing guide, thank you! Also quick question, if you were to ignore the Hour Of Divinity/Gilded Chalice Uniques, is it still worth running the medium or higher tier strategies, considering the Relics don't run out and are always active?
I think its worth mentioning how impactful Inspiration from Relics is. I'm playing the room revealed strategy atm and all my Relics give ~30 Inspiration on Sanctum start, which means I start the run with like 300-something Inspiration, which in turn lets me go for the handshake rooms early and click the "reduce max resolve by x%" options to try and find duplication/all-seeing-eye boons. You really want a consistent source of Inspiration on your relic setup imo Except maybe in merchant strat cuz you simply can't fit it in together with coin/cost related mods, but that's fine because you'll end up with tons of inspiration boons anyway once you find a merchant.
awesome video, but when you start running sanctum at league start you wont have any relics, how do you manage a run without those bonuses? or do you just try to buy relics early in league before you start running sanctum
Good info! Id like to add 2 more relic strats that kinda go under the radar. 2slot coins on start/chests 10% double coin with convert coins to relics/tainted currency.. With no rng ull still get ~5k coins, usually hit 8-9k and the cap is 10k. Cheap relics and very good early league farm. 2nd one is stack monster dmg relics with the unique relics that hide sanctum rooms. They usually increase boss hp, so helps to farm those tomes early league too, cheap relics as well..e.g. For wind of fate staff
If you decide to make a blight guide. Please add the best way to get lots of blight ravaged maps to drop I’m having issues sustaining blight ravaged maps and need guidance!
TL;DR: Merchant choice relics are the expensive, but safe build for Sanctum. Great pick for low DPS or generalist builds. I highly recommend the +2 merchant choice relics if you're the kind of person who wants to run Sanctum, but doesn't like or want to run a dedicated build for it. Take myself for example: I run poison SRS from league start to finish, because it's a very cost-efficient build and tanky enough for most content in the game. It doesn't perform very well in Sanctum due to the need for poison stacks to build up so I tend to clear them a lot more slowly by comparison. The merchant choice relics compensate for that massively by giving me tons of buffs.
Hi Phaze, really like this guide . I am thinking to build a hexblast minner and run Sanctum... will be a good idea? or what´s builds do you think it is good for this mechanic?
Currently, Hexblast is the king of Sanctum. An early Dreadarc, or maybe Blasphemy should get Hexblast going early. No idea what the supply of Forbidden Tomes will look like in HC Trade though
