Finally we get the reveal! I'm not able to spend $2k on a wheel but I love how light it is and multiple function switch is awesome. Love how understated it is. Chefs kiss 💋
Keep VPG busy making wheels lads, maybe Dave will get lucky and they'll forget ..those rear buttons are a real winner ... PTT or pit limiter would be handy back there..
Buttons on the back is under rated. My simagic fxpro is my favorite wheel because I have 2 extra paddles for brake bias. Buttons on the back for BB would be sick.
Nice, bit the Bavarian Simtech Alpha was first with that magic button. You should check it out Dave. It looks even better too. Even the TC and ABS are synced for some cars in ACC an iRacing. And the grips are the best part. And thats for €1197 including a spacer. This looks great too though. Thanks for the review
Actually the VPGT wheel was the 1st wheel with the magic button from back in 2023, best wheel I ever used, BV wheel is just replicating what was done here lmo
Good luck remembering all those button combinations, pretty pointless in my opinion. Just have a button box with your secondary options and just leave the wheel buttons for driving features. That way pretty any wheel has enough buttons!
"Automotive grade buttons" Honestly, the buttons I have on my Ascher wheel and the once I felt on other higher end sim wheel rims (especially the paddle shifters) feel so much better than anything I have ever felt in any car I have ever sat in,...which includes a Porsche 911, a Ferrari 360 Modena, a Mercedes CLK 320 and many other regular cars. "Automotive quality" is a very broad spectrum and if anything, it's a reason not to buy a product.
@@davecamyt I agree in this specific case but "automotive grade quality" is in general just a meaningless term and not an argument for a product, since the spectrum of material quality used in the automotive industry is just extremely broad. What I mean is, I could screw my Fiat Punto wheel to my rig and I would have an "Automotive grade quality wheel", but it wouldn't necessarily be a high quality wheel.
For that money I'd need it to make me 10 seconds a lap quicker instantly. But like you say Dave, if money were no object I'd be all over it, like a tramp on chips.
It's ugly and over $1700 lol I'm good. I'll still watch the video, though. 0 interest in this wheel. Dave, I'm a huge Ford guy, drive a Ford, root for Ford, blue oval always. This is ugly
@@GRamerDimNope this is a Ford specific wheel. This one has an indent where the dials sit and no Ford logo unlike Porsche and Aston. Plus the top where it says gt3 is a plate that is swapped out with the Ford GT mk4 and the mustang gt4 as they share this wheel. While the one that Porsche and Aston use doesn't have any of that, just the logo on a flat surface in-between the dials. Oh and the bottom of that one is flatter than fords.
Lol, but it is in fact a replica. Just because it is licensed doesn´t make it not a replica. No doubt it is a great wheel, but you simply can´t make this statement.
Hi there, just wanted to clarify that this is not a replica. This is the real car wheel (it's made using the real car carbon fibre carcass, front plate and grip) with Sim specific electronics 😃
Every time I see these ridiculous $2000 wheels it makes me realize how great the McLaren v2 is for price to performance. Are people really buying these “real life” wheels we’re seeing lately???
Yes, people who appreciate high end materials, the tactile feedback of high quality buttons and magnetic shifters buy expensive wheels. If you buy something more exclusive, it's also going to be more expensive. The McLaren V2 does the job, but at the end it's just a piece of plastic....and it feels like it. I'm not saying that it is a bad product for what it is! It's probably worth every cent, but compared to Ascher, Bavarien Simtec (and others) it's just a toy.
They say it's not a replica but the real thing on their website, but it is 100% a replica. It is not from the same production line and it is not identicle to the wheel in the car. It is just based on the real wheel. VPG are lying. It is not like the Fanatec M4 GT3 wheel.
You may want to look at VPGs partnership with BF1 systems who make the Ford wheel and others for actual race cars. It is the exact same moulds and materials used in the real race car. Also the Fanatec BMW wheel is also a replica, you can't use it in the real car without making a change to it.
@@alistairR235 The partnership between BF1 systems and VPG is strictly commercial, and mostly for the purpose of licencing. The Fanatec BMW wheel is not a replica. The BMW wheel was developed by Fanatec for BMW Motorsport. The BMW wheel is FIA homologated and can communicate via the BMW M4 GT3 and GT4 via CAN BUS. The Mustang GT3 wheel was not developed by VPG. The VPG Mustang GT3 wheel is not FIA homologated and cannot communicate with the Mustang GT3 via CAN BUS. It is manufactured by VPG not BF1 systems and does not use the same components. BF1 systems has provided VPG with the CAD files for the housing only. The VPG Mustang GT3 wheel has a number of differences, including the addition of funky switches, different button housing, and even the finish on the carbon fibre appears to have more of a satin finish. The Fanatec BMW wheel is a FIA Homologated wheel that can communicate with Fanatec's Windows drivers to be used for sim racing. The VPG Mustang GT3 wheel is strictly a game controller for people who like to play virtual race cars, and very overpriced for what it is.
This company is desperate 😂 send out how many review units because they need every little bit to help them move these ugly wheels! And not a good look when TH-cam is full of mustangs crashing 🤣 $2000 plus for a car that wrecks more than it actually drives
The buttons on the back are rad!

I just wish Ford would sell the “sportier focus” in the States. They give y’all more toys than us lol
You guys got the last RS..guess you don't get the ST
And US didnt get the Bmw 130i
@@timsihvonen178 all I want is Hilux. But noooooo they won’t do away with one obscure law and allow it. So dumb lol
Does Europe get the Hellcat?

I am in love with this wheel.

I am a Mustang fan too but i already bought the Asher Arturo Ultimate wheel which is very expensive too. There are so many good wheels out there 🙈😅
I'd get through mapping like 3 of those buttons before getting fed up with it and just driving.🤣

Yeah I was offered a Bavarian rim to try, but unfortunately too busy 🫤

Love it.. i already own their vpgt, so no need for another gt3, or my pockets arent deep enough 😂 Thanks Dave!
Back side of the wheel looks better than front imo 😅
Pretty similar to a MOZA KS wheel. Except that’s $270.
We all guessed it 😂
Good luck remembering all those button combinations, pretty pointless in my opinion. Just have a button box with your secondary options and just leave the wheel buttons for driving features. That way pretty any wheel has enough buttons!
What headset are you using? Thanks in advance
Hi Dave, just can’t remember! what four things do you look for, also are you a reviewer 🤣🤣 good job anyway.
😍 My Dream
A little bit special in price yes. Bottom line; most of us don't have the money.
I think it's neat, but it is out of my price range. If it wasn't, I'd buy it. But alas.

You can't get closer than using materials shared with the same IRL wheel 😁
Although I agree, most 'modern' kit is awesome quality 👍

Yes but he means it's the same materials they use in the race car, the cars you mentioned are not the race car the wheel is replicating

lol. Hate to break it to you Dave. But unless you plug any of those wheels into a real car they are all toys. Regardless what they are made of…
There is no way, on earth, i am paying that for a steering wheel.

Can buy a set of Michelin pilot cups 2s and probably several hours at a track for that price lol
For 400 bucks you get a Moza KS which is not that ugly and have a great quality. Sorry but this is extremely overpriced.
