Would love to see more of these random Legacy cars in Ringmeister. They run the Legacy Car of Tomorrow in the Draft Master series regularly and it's so much fun. Great video as always
When I first joined iRacing, this was one of my favourite cars. There was this and the Formula Renault 2.0, but I found the Mazda a bit more forgiving and more fun........I was gutted when they retired it.
@@regibson23 Not even for hot lapping. The whole lap is over 20km. One small mistake and you gotta drive all that way just to try again. I think it's best for endurance racing. It rewards consistency, track knowledge and clean driving.

I’d love this! “Legacy Masters”. Like “Ring Meister” a different legacy car and track option each week. I’m stoked that they appear to bringing the Williams back for week fourteen! Never had a chance to race it 😄
It boggles my mind that people learn and remember a track the size of the Nordschleife and I’m doing my damndest to learn and remember an oval 😅 Fun race to watch and memorization to aspire to haha
Did you have to turn down your normal FFB settings for this car Dave? Normally, I run 75% wheel base strength in the wheel/base software, with the "Wheel Force" setting in iRacing corrected to that new base Nm level, then 100% on the iRacing "Intensity" slider. "Smoothing", "Damping" and "Min Force" all at zero. The "Max Force" I let the in-car F9 screen determine with the "Auto" function. For this car I found it very difficult, if not impossible, to keep the FFB feelings I wanted to feel, without it being super-violent just going down the straights even. I turned the "Intensity" setting down to 55% and the violence is pretty much gone, but the FFB in turns is almost non-existent. I have all the wheel base "effects" turned off, so I'm just basically using the pure FFB signal from iRacing. I tried adjusting the "Smoothing" and "Damping" sliders in iRacing, but they didn't seem to help much or make much difference. Did you run into anything similar and if so, how did you resolve it? I miss the Pro Mazda. I have over 2K races on Iracing and I bet 500 were the ole PM. Unfortunately the newer car is just not fun to drive. I mean it is fine but nothing making it special. The setup for it this week is kind for the old PM, it's nature was a lot of off throttle oversteer. The community back then would run the Ring a lot.

Are you excited for the new tire model coming? Or worried it may be to different? I think sormtimes oushijg to much realism can come back and bite you. For pure enjoyment. Like iracing is already realistic enough but changing s tire model is always scary it can backfire on any title. Many iracing fans are pretty worried and upset and already love how it is. So lets see what happens! Lol Also of course I went asetek invicta dave!
All the top drivers seem to be really excited about this change, and from what I've been reading, the majority have been happy too because it's everyone's main complaint. This might be the greatest thing they've done in a while.

If it still feels like iracing then it's a eine but if it compeltely changes the dynamics of the car to a completely different feeling of the title that won't be a win. Just saying. Should be an improvement they are trying to gain not an entirely new feel thats all. So I hope it works out because me I actually like iracing lol
I think that with the type of sim that iRacing is, and the people it markets to, they're going to chase realism as much as possible, because ultimately I think they want to be as close to real life as possible so they can attract more real-life pro drivers.
It will be easier and more fun to drive, you won't get instantly killed on the limit and you will be able to drive in different racing styles and still be equally as fast atm you have to drive in a certain style to be fast which isn't fun or realistic. I'm looking forward to the change

ProMazda was such a fun competitive class in the US. It had both east and west coast series while it was active.
THAT WAS EXCELLENT! Good job of adapting to the speed of that beast. You were the class of the field with that effort.

Honestly it's not a great "race" track. Very few places to pass and they're all sketchy. Better for hot lapping.

You're right, those cars are snapping fast. But they sound like either an RC plane or an overpowered sewing machine.

What an ace little car. Does anyone know what that little flutter / flapping noise is on low gear shifts? Kinda like a turbo flutter?
Car on power sounds a bit eh, but the burbles on the overrun more than make up for it!
Are you constantly making adjustments to your active pedals with all these races or stick to your preferred setting?
For most cars I've got it dialed in to one profile which works quite well across them all 👍

I run my base at 100% for everything and just turn down the ffb in the sim until I'm happy. Like you I don't have any effects at all and no damping. 👍

Question, as this a C class race, how did the car in P24 enter as a Rookie?
The required licence is Sport Car C class. But as the car is a Formula car, the IR and SR you gain go towards your Formula licence
Yea, it's weird. It counts for formula but goes off your sports license. I'm guessing he's atleast a c in sports and his formula is rookie.

This car is a pile of trash. 😅😅😅 it has terrible FFB. Tried a few laps and it was so unenjoyable.
