Hi, Sorry for the late response. @Gene Reyes, yes the pipes bolt to the battery box. It does bottom out on very large speed bumps, this has only happened once. One nice thing about the battery box is it sits about 1" lower than the pipes so it will save scratching the pipes. @Stan Wilhite, Yes the load adjusters just plug into the power feed to the blinker, I got some off ebay for a couple bucks works great. The shocks I got off ebay as well they are from a 800 Suzuki Marauder. I have not had a passenger on, the shocks are adjustable I'm sure if they are turned up it would be fine with a passenger although not the most comfortable.
You can buy an adjustable flash rate relay for a dollar and change that will allow you to set the rate of flash. (eBay) I just bought one but haven't installed it yet. (2 prong)
Nice Video, I just got a 2000 vs1400 and it came to me with NO mufflers, I ordered the cobra slash slipons, I keep hearing this bike is tough to tune without the stock pipes, have you had any issues with these pipes and did you have to retune anything and how do they perform? TY

I'm thinking about getting the Cobra Drag pipes for my 1998 Intruder 1400 and I was wondering how the heat is on the left leg, the way that pipe come out of the head and bends around it looks like it would get close to the drivers left leg when the use the factory foot pegs.
Hello mr robert i have a 92 vs1400 i recently acquired... It has the cobra exhausts... It looks like the pipes stabilize onto the battery box... Do they? Cause the previous owner of mine took out the battery box... And its being held up somehow... I want to get a battery box to bolt the pipes on the right way... Have you ridden your bike recently? Does your battery box bottom out? Any info would be great... Thanks in advance
Loosen your forks, take the bolt caps on the top of your forks off and slide your forks down enough to slide your blinkers up and out. Slide your forks back up and tighten everything up. Should take maybe 30 min at most.

Does lowering the rear of the bike still allow for a second rider, or does it bottom out? Thanks, Stan

With it being lowered in the back how's the passenger ride comfort?
how did you get the brackets for the blinker on the forks off. I've been racking my brain how to get them off my forks without pulling my bars?

PS. All you do is unplug the OEM and plug the variable rate one in. Where did you get the shocks?
