Sorry if I was a little too critical in this one LMAO. Most of the VOD reviews I've done so far have been on high Challenger games, so I didn't notice how harsh I was being with my commentary. Urgot for sure looks like he has some solid viability as an off-meta pick. His mobility is lacking so he won't be great into every comp, but if you do a good job of sweeping vision and setting yourself up in bushes for picks like this player does, you can often work around that weakness. His clearing is strong, his scaling is good, he has a great combination of damage, tankiness, and CC/disruption, and best of all he's an easy champion to play that you can flex into Toplane as well. Definitely underrated among the lesser-seen jungle picks.
@@carlmarshall9777 D1-Masters games are night and day from Challenger games. If I'm being completely honest, I think the gap was a bit smaller in older seasons, but ladder inflation has made 0 LP Masters a lot more achievable over the years.
I like it, it's high elo but not peak elo content which is kinda rare to be analyzed. Usually people only look at low elo and challenger games. Also it's cool to see how he might not have been the best jungler, but really was using his champs pick strengths to win this game.,
I just discovered your channel a few videos ago, love it. waiting for more! Love the Commentary and explanations, helping me out a lot! Best Jungle Content Creator out there!
ok i think what was happening around the gromp in the second camp rotation: You would expect Urgot to look for the gromp after wolves BUT 1. he hasn't recalled yet and Viego sits on Noonquiver 2. Viego being around and your own bot lane in base 3. Urgot no flash. You would expect Viego to do the drake there but what if he looks to invade the gromp there. He knows Urgot pathed bot so the timer is actually kind of trackable. I think it was actually smart to not go look for gromp because if he would walk into Viego there he would just die for free. You can see Urgot going into bot side after recall and immediatly sweeps in his own jungle. So he had an invade in mind.
That was my thought as well, but it still doesn't make sense to recall. You could just walk up and see if Viego's coming. Viego clears out the ward in river bush as Urgot is finishing Wolves, so if Urgot is scared of an invade he can just walk up a bit and if Viego intends to invade, he'd quickly show up within a couple seconds. I think the best move would've been just to recall for Whip right after Raps though, since there's no likely play on topside if you just full sequence into recall.
Hey I love this build! I always get torn between goregot(goredrinker) or stridebreakgot because Goregot's team fight damage sustain is great and omnivamp on him is fun stuff. However, Ms on Urgot with extra slows is also very powerful. Urgot Is a unique champion in that he can meld fairly seamlessly with almost any dmg or tank itemization, as well as benefits from legendary item rush, so build order can also be fairly customizable. In this meta, spike whip items on Urgot seem to work well vs black cleaver rush or tank mythics.
Maybe, but to be honest I think the changes are pretty self-explanatory and there's not a whole lot else to add. It's a straightforward shift of the balance needle back towards farm junglers - how significant will await to be seen. Your guess is as good as mine.
Certain abilities can be "buffered" through CC. Examples are like Tristana W and Ezreal E allowing you to go through stuff like Blitz/Naut hook if you time them correctly. You get CC'd during the initial casting animation, then the dash still goes off, effectively cancelling the CC. Urgot E works the same way. If you time it with Viego's stun, the stun will happen during the initial E cast animation, but then the dash will still go off as usual.
I think Viego was little bit oppressed with Xayah's performance so in time he thought "In this game we need ADC that's doing something, not like Xayah". It was a terrible mistake and wasted advantage. But Urgot is rly awesome.
Uhhh, Ninetales was the main Yorick jungle guy, but I don't know if he still plays. You can have a look through this page www.leagueofgraphs.com/rankings/summoners/yorick - there's a few jungle Yorick mains on here you could potentially reference.
I ve a question regarding the lvl 2 raptor invade by viego, does that even make sense to do in general? If you dont kill urgot you`ll just be one camp "ahead" with bad sequencing, after the next few clears it should be better for urgot, no?
It's not a super high value invade, though it's not awful. It's really unexpected so people often don't really respond properly and try to fight you at first, and if they drop low enough you can invade them on the other side next with level+HP advantage. If they dip like Urgot did, then you just go up a Raps camp and see if you can transition gank mid into botside. Disadvantage is you reach botside later, which is questionable with winning bot with prio, since if you just cleared down with a standard path, you could look for either an invade or dive on the botside instead. If botside was more neutral/passive and there wasn't as much of a rush to get down there, then it's pretty decent.
Great video...BUT I FUCKING HATE IT. I'm an urgot otp in the making and urgot jg looks interesting....except.. You're not addressing...more so you're OBSTRUCTING the most crucial part of urgot jg that i want to understand - HOW THE HELL DOES HE CLEAR? Bees knees have 30s cooldown in early. So how does urgot clear camps once he blows the knees on buff??
Hold on, this is not a Happy Chime Noises Video...
LMAO yeah, I usually just do standard jungle picks but couldn't help but check Urgot out after stumbling across this guy's profile.

It was interesting to see how many mistakes d1 players still make despite being at such a high rank compared to most players

I remember last season that Urgot cleared the red buff leashless so fast you would actually have to lose time waiting for the krugs to spawn lmao

@@Phylaris Hey, thanks for the quick response, makes total sense :)
Ty for the content. Ivern?
Great video Phylaris! So is Urgot something you'd think a low elo jungler could pull off consistently?
Red teamcomp is much better except it is full ad.
