Absolutely love this type of content, love seeing reviews on higher tier players from someone who can actually analyze/explain their gameplay so that we can improve more as a viewer! Thanks for all the effort and great videos man, been watching your clear guides for years and I was always wondering why you didn't do vod reviews/educational content since you really know your stuff.
Thanks for the kind words. I kind of just figured I built my channel off of clearing and that's what people were here for, so I didn't want to suddenly throw a curveball with my content. But with season 13 clearing's gotten way easier and people don't search for/need clearing guides quite as much, so I'm looking to pivot a bit to keep making useful content.
I would love to see graves analysis. He's a champ I picked up as my 2 trick but I don't really "get it" besides just liking to play him. His WR is low in literally all elos (last time I checked it was like 50% flat in challenger) yet he's a priority pick in high elo and even competitive. I would like to see what's so strong about him to justify the obsession/why every smurf mains him when there are seemingly better options. It's not like he's THAT hard mechanically either, he has a lot of room for skill expression but IMO it's less than the champs with notoriously high skill ceilings (akali, zed, irelia etc.). Not to mention graves mains don’t even think he has great builds atm and hasn’t for a while
its bc you get feed its gg, one of the hardest carries is graves, obviously i cant explain like a pro, but graves is picked that much by his capacity to 1 v 9
I've been on a mad binge watching these vod commentaries. They're fantastic learning tools, for both new and veteran players. A humble request, I'd like to see more vods of your coaching sessions if possible? I really like the Ekko one you uploaded because it gave a ton of useful info and insight with the back-and-forth QnA between coach and student. Some things that may seem obvious in these solo commentary vods may fly over the heads of lower elo players (like me) and sometimes having someone in our shoes ask the 'obvious' questions and getting the needed answers is just as useful. Either way, I'm glad I found your channel. I'm having flashbacks to highschool where I would incessantly follow stonewall008 videos.
I may upload portions of coaching sessions every now and then. If you have more basic questions you can always hop into my Discord server and ask directly (link in video descrip.) I miss stonewall's clearing videos. League felt so fresh in its infancy.
Great video as always! Would like to see a video to show off how to make sylas work, since is one of the best junglers right now and it has a negative winrate, personally I struggle with his early weak clear.
Love the analysis videos. Great content keep it up man. Edit about the bork question. Most yi mains rush bork and then mythic, it's just the raw power it gives to any autoattack champion, it's much stronger than kraken first especially for the 1v1s and as an added bonus of you are chunked you regenerate full after one camp. PS2: I wonder after item changes if essence into navori makes sense and then drakthar or something else, kinda like the essence drakthar old days with hail of blades
Great video. This kind of videos are my favourite. Is very instructive to see you guessing a player's tought process. I think that is a very good way to learn. In psychology, that technique is called modeling. I will suggest a kindred vod review, It will be awesome also if you manage to get POV video of a high elo game to also watch how they control camera and mouse movements.
I'd love to see some high elo Rengar players. Either jungle or top as both are interesting to me and I'd love to learn more about the macro gameplan of Rengar in general. Thank you for the useful videos as always.
11:25 to explain why he go for bork not the kraken. He just build it ramdomly, sometimes he will build bork first just because it cheaper and with the attack speed from bow and early berzerkers is very good with his early pressure play and take ojects like drags or rift faster and maybe for more early fight
Really liking this type of content! My only criticism is that it *may* be helpful to analyze some mechanics in slow-motion rather than just reacting to it, but I'm really loving this content regardless :)
I'll take a look into this. I'm afraid of pausing and slowing things down too much, as full gameplay reviews without multiple jump cuts are already on the waaaay long end of what most viewers are willing to watch, but I do agree that slowing down at some points to focus on mechanics would be helpful, as most of my focus tends to be on explaining/teaching about the game macro.
Very nice video! I love this new series. Can we see ekko analysis? It is very popular champ and I would love to know how challengers players play him and why they make decisions they do. What drives them and what is the factor to carry games each time.
At the start of those series u can mention what buff the villain usually starts, and mention if he sometimes go another runes setup. I order Vi - it's got to the meta real quick and I'd like to know what to do on her :D
for the pickaxe crit cloak rush instead of noonquiver, maybe as you said the farming isnt an issue anymore with bork plus those are the two clunkiest components of the kraken. If you somehow go down with 400 or 500 gold and have the noonquiver you cannot buy anything, so maybe it is worth to get the clunky things out of the way when you have the gold for it
Dude you're so smart. I'm a Yi main and getting back into the game after a 3 year break and I have barely considered this ngl. If I have 1k gold I get the noonquiver components when I should definitely be getting pickaxe. Good catch.
One thing you didn't mention is the w 3rd rather than q 3rd - which while slower in clear speed, completely negates a potential invade by any member on red team.
Ya early clearspeed is unfortunately not particularly relevant right now for the most part. Majority of jglers either break off for early ganks (esp onto botlane) or make sacrifices in clearspeed for better health or respawns.
Not a Master Yi player. In a good bit of S12 content I watched Cowsep playing he would Rush bork very commonly. Sometimes even getting Rageblade second before boots, or rageknife into boots/quiver My guess is that current health dmg form bork melts better than kraken on first item, it also is cheaper - lifesteal and chase also helps to add to it looking around in the practice tool, I remember him saying, opening with bork since its always a good item on yi, allows you a choice of mythic if the course of the game changes instead of going the stock standard kraken slayer So if you needed some tankiness as of a falling behind frontliner you could go a tank mythic and other things like that I think some games he rushed zerkers instead of bork as to show off a difference, but if iirc some of those games he would say he wished he had bork instead so there is that if your champ works really well with it, you can't really go wrong, the item is turbo broken,
Yeah those are some good points. It does look like he mostly goes Kraken rush from his MH, so I guess it was just a quirk of his gold totals on recalls that he went BORK first this game, since the enemy team isn't particularly tanky.
Regarding btork its high damage at higher hp amounts against champs and is from what I remember better at clearing as a first item and taking objectives. Btork does less damage the less hp the enemy champ has, but by the time it equalizes in value to the amount of damage a mythic would do for most champs is around half health and doesnt ever really get worse save tell the enemy is at like 10% hp. All in all its a better item for yi first and can be used much more aggresively.

the most important reason is that yis q synergizes with bork, it can q and insta proc the item

looking around in the practice tool, I remember him saying, opening with bork since its always a good item on yi, allows you a choice of mythic if the course of the game changes instead of going the stock standard kraken slayer
So if you needed some tankiness as of a falling behind frontliner you could go a tank mythic and other things like that

Is there a chance you could do a Evelyn vod?
I'd love to have a look at Bo's Graves !
Ty for content
Some pantheon jgl would be amazing ! :)
my only question is why is that karma playing karma? I feel her mechanics are being wasted on an enchanter😆
I'd like to see a breakdown VOD of a random low elo jungler who consistently blames his team for every loss.
JK, great video, hope to see more :)
