  • This is a typical residential AC system where we will discuss installation of refrigerant gauges, guage calibration, a refrigerant recovery system, and a vacuum pump for evacuation.

    I am a student in air conditioning and refrigeration. This is an excellent explanation and hands on. Easy to follow and understand.

    I appreciate your video on the recovery process, I am an hvacr instructor and I like to show the students videos like this. The problem is everyone on TH-cam is using the newest recovery machines and they don't use a manifold to recover through just fancy hose connectors. How you are doing it and the machine is the same one I've used for years. I believe in keeping it simple 👍Thanks

      keeping it simple would be Removing Valve cores with a valve core tool, using 3/8 hoses and a Y fitting without a manifold and recovering to the vapor side of the tank flipped upside down . you'll be done in no time. using a manifold and other restrictive things is not doing students any favors.

    Thank you for keeping it simple.
    Not to confuse with too many details.
    But it would help if a small filter dryer was added to the recovery hose just before the recovery machine inlet.
    But great job.

    You might consider setting up a camera in the lab and doing a full recovery/evac/recharge on some equipment there. The controlled environment would considerably decrease video production costs. :-)

    you did not pull schrader valves before evacuation process

    • @cesarmartin111
      @cesarmartin111 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think is not necessary, it just if you want to make the recovery faster

    • @philipajarapoo7675
      @philipajarapoo7675 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not necessary. All that would do is help to speed up the process. Totally optional.

    no filter dryer for the machine?

      Especially if you intend on putting that same refrigerant back into the system after servicing ….

    Your really not supposed to pull a vacuum thru gauges either you should use just use the vacuum and two hoses.

      Nope, never heard of such a thing. You will not damage the gauges.

    I wondered if you’d address how close that unit is to the wall. Shameful.

  • @rickmiles2381
    @rickmiles2381 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Unit is too close to the wall for proper air flow. Need at least 12 inches. Good video though.

      Your eyes bad?? its obvious this pulls through side and top, so the back does not have to be unrestricted/spaced from wall.
