- In today's mario video we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the mushroom power ups seen in the #supermario games made by nintendo. Throughout the years there have been a lot mario games like super mario world, super mario 64, super mario sunshine, new super mario bros, new super mario galaxy, super mario 3d land, super mario 3d world, super mario run, super mario bros 3 and not too long ago they released the new super Mario odyssey for the nintendo switch which has all kinds of new characters like cappy and locations like the sand kingdom, new donk city and bowsers kingdom. In these games we have seen power ups like the fire flower, ice flower, super mushroom, mega mushroom, super star, hammer suit, spring mushroom and way more. But there were power ups that helped mario, luigi, toad, princess peach, rosalina and the others to escape bowser, the broodals, koopalings and bowser jr. 1. Throwback galaxy
2. The portrait ghosts

How do you explain Throwback Galaxy, then? With the dialogue with the Whomp King and the Red Bob-omb, it is implied to be the very same place as Whomp's Fortress.
You remember that throwback galaxy have again stars, so maybe bowser made the “make the same plan again” but with the “mega stars” can bring it to the reality
Couldn’t the paintings be portals? Can’t the Whomp’s Fortress painting simply lead to Throwback Galaxy, out of reach for the princess and the toads?

How does Throwback Galaxy fit into this theory?
Man that’s just sad. Such unique worlds in such lovely painting all in which are destroyed when the source is gone. What will happen to the mom penguin and her baby?
What makes this even worse is that in Mario Odyssey, the original castle paintings are already gone :(

I personally had thought that the worlds were not actually inside the paintings, but much rather were just portals. Koopa the Quick traveled between Bob-omb Battlefield and Tiny-Huge Island.
Super Mario Star Road, besides being a fan game, happened to be a game that was meant to directly connect to Super Mario 64 as far as characters from the levels are concerned such as how Mario has a rematch with King Bob-omb, or that Mario races against the baby penguin he once saved.

Then how the heck did the bob-omb buddies in throwback galaxy recognize mario and luigi?
Which has the layout of whomps fortress.
And mario and came back to it via starship mario.
I mean you even have the spot where the powerstar in the corner of the wall still broken off.
And the spot where cannon was with the bob-omb buddy cover actually removed and replaced with a launch star.
the whomp king even says he was defeated again.

Just because 3d allstars didn't include it doesn't make any less canonical.
Seeing as you brought up luigi's mansion, a spin-off that has two time lines thanks to gooigi.
So galaxy 2 is just as canonical.
But What about how Whomps Fortress Returns in Super Mario Galaxy 2 as its own level?
Maybe Bowser like the design so much that he rebuilt the fortresses in real life. And gave it to the Whomps for there loyalty.

King thwomp even stating he was defeated again implies this is the same location.
Meaning he would have to have fought mario prior.
The location is literally a listed as throwback galaxy,
So it's likely a real location.
@@mdswitchy378 Well I'm going by what Dr. Wiley says in the video. That the worlds in the paintings are imaginary. Unless Bowser saved all the enemies from the paintings before the painting levels where beaten and destroyed in the process.

Just because it's not in 3d Allstars doesn't make it non-canon.
What about Throw-Back Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy or the Bob-omb Battlefield map in Super Mario Odyssey? I would say the same for Hazy Maze Cave, Dire Dire Docks, but their entrances are not found through paintings.

They could be copies of real locations. I mean Bowser is pretty creative but he seems mostly good at castle and fort building so I expect some of these worlds he made to at least be heavily inspired by locations Mario or Luigi can actually visit. And maybe they already have visited some of them but we never noticed because we weren’t looking for the inspirations behind the paintings. I know there’s the sunken ship in super Mario world wouldn’t be too hard to just imagine that again but with a giant eeel.

Hey Dr willy in super mario galaxy whomps fortress gets brought back so mabey the portals are tellaporters and there fuel is power stars and those power stars are used to open a gate way to princess peach cuz she's stuck in the painting like when king boo traps people in paintings
It’s the mushroom Kingdom magic is everywhere so clearly there is magic paintings maybe all the magic is peach and when she touches a painting she instantly creates the whole world of the painting theory confirmed

Like many others, I feel that it's more likely that the stars power a portal and the paintings act like doorways. After all, there are paintings in oddesy that transport you to other kingdoms. Still a great idea.
So many people say this while ignoring that they say in the game that the worlds only exist in the paintings.

I think you might be on to something here. I also think Painting could be replicate world's that Bowser must've copied already existing places within Mario's world. If you don't know Thwomp Fortress is real place in Super Mario Galaxy 2 while Thwomp Fortress of Mario 64 could be some sort of replicant of that location.

I think its the paint also. What about the paint marks in sunshine? Those were used for getting specific shines, right?
So maybe the frames aren't the thing, it's the paint used....
The creatures created by bowser jr were merely golems, i think. Created by the paint. While the framed paintings are a past to another dimension. I think, because we see old stages from earlier games in galaxy.... maybe they really do exist in the mario universe and the paintings are merely a portal.

after the game it all ends because thats the moment you take out bowser who created them, and the power sources are gone
