- In today's #supermarioodyssey video we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the a new sequel that could be seen in the #supermario games made by nintendo. Throughout the years there have been a lot mario games like super mario world, super mario 64, super mario sunshine, new super mario bros, new super mario galaxy, super mario 3d land, super mario 3d world, super mario run, super mario bros 3 and not too long ago they released the new super Mario odyssey for the nintendo switch which has all kinds of new characters like cappy and locations like the sand kingdom, new donk city and bowsers kingdom. In these games we have seen power ups like the fire flower, ice flower, super mushroom, mega mushroom, super star, hammer suit, spring mushroom and way more. But there were power ups that helped mario, luigi, toad, princess peach, rosalina and the others to escape bowser, the broodals, koopalings and bowser jr. I think the pure Yellow ones are true Power moons, but the other colored ones are ‘Synthetic’ or altered to be a certain color, so that the kingdoms themselves have almost a certain moon currency
I think those moons were made by the dragon in the ruined kingdom that would've explained there electric properties

I think Rosalina was the one who created the Power Stars and the Power Moons.

@@AidanRatnage This would be scientifically accurate because the closer you are to the core of a planet, the stronger the gravity. There is also magma in the core of the moon.
@@Droobie03 I thought the Moon was geologically inactive, do you have a source for this? Your point on gravity's strength is true but the Moon's underground gravity is the same as the planet on which the Mushroom Kingdom is located. The Moon's mass is too small for that.
The power moons are a real mystery
I think they come from the moon. They fall down from the moon and when they change color also even shape like the mushroom kingdom.
You should do evolution of dinosaurs
If the Moon is hollow,shouldn't the gravity make the entire Moon collapse in and have a devastating earthquake.
It's probably kept stable through alien tech or magic
My theory is that the mysterious blocks from the moon fell and went into the different kingdoms. Also the lava caverns was just the inner core of the moon until bowser made it his security system against mario.

Wait since Lumas became Power Stars and Power Moons are just Power Stars Btu in a different shape and we see them come from the Rocks dosent that mean the Rocks are like the sort of second stage like a cocoon for metamorphosis like stage 1 a normal luma stage 2 many lumas group together inside of a giant rock cube 3 the rock explodes unleashing the power stars and power moons

Cuz do you know how many times he has died from spick, fire, lava drounding, and explosions and posion and hight voltage if he was mortal he would be dead by 1-1 super mario 1 so I think mario is a demigod so roselena wanted too help him agan and same with luigi wanted too help him.
My Theory is that the powers of the moon came from the grand stars
This is a great theory! I just completed Odyssey for the first time last night, and had the same thought about the Power Moons/Stars~ Couldn't have come at a better time, haha! Looking forward to more =D

Did you see the part in the brochure that says the moon beings look alot like the beings in the lakeside level, it says "could life from the moon (come to land on earth and populate the oceans) thus creating life on the planet?" That is a big wow for the mario universe I think! Make a video about this!!
Rosalina seems more like a celestial observer then a partaker in the creation of it.

One flaw with power stars being the same thing is that Rosalina in Galaxy 1 eluded to some lumas turning into power stars. The green lumas even are directly stated to be able to turn into green power stars.

My question then is, why are the objects shaped like Stars in the Mushroom Kingdom (and numerous other galaxies) but Moon shaped across the rest of the planet? Why are Shine Sprites shaped so differently for just some random island?
At least the power stars appearing in green and red make sense, given Power Moons are in tons of different colors

True, but normal people might only see her as one, she is nonetheless a supernatural being of some sort

If she is supernatural then so is the Mario cast. Rosalina is just a girl with space based powers, she isn't as capable as a goddess.
Those space powers are capable of resetting the universe, she has stuff like telekinesis(on a large scale), force fields, levitation, and there was even one instance where she teleported
As for the others, they do have some abilities of their own, but some of what they do is because of the flowers, mushrooms, and other items

Actually the lumas are the ones who reset the world and that's backed up by the comics too. And those abilities you mentioned aren't really that divine and many characters in the franchise has them too.

copsnrobbies the Moons in Super Mario World are not Power Moons. They’re called 3-Up Moons and they have mouths, unlike the Power Moons.
