    👍👍Looks like a great tent design ; the hard part of tent camping is finding a level spot to set up. The best place to learn about your camping gear is camping out in your backyard. No matter how well thought out you think you are; you can’t be sure until you try out everything first. If your tent or camping equipment fails; it is better it fails a short walk to your house than in another part of the country.

    Thanks for the video.
    Is the roof exposed meshing or is it fully enclosed to help with retaining heat in the tent during winter camping?

    I have the t4 and while other tents were blowing in the wind the t4 was rock solid and not moving at all. I haven’t experienced heavy wind but it did much better than a lot of tents around us.

      honestly the T8 is heavy, wish I had gone with the 4 as well.

    got the t8 a few weeks ago. Took it camping this weekend . Unfortunately it was windy all day, 30-40 mph wind gusts. And one corner of the rain fly got damaged . Some of walls collapsed. Next time I'm going to collapsed the roof to prevent stress the corner sticks, stake down the walls . I loved how easy it was to set up and roomy it was . Planning to replace it with a new one .

      Yeah, I targe mine for kinda GLAMPING not serious camping but I did see a few videos saying if youre gonna have wind strap in. Good luck with the new one. Other than that you like it?

    Hey, I'm thinking about picking up one of these for my family of 6 + dog for when we got 'overlanding'. Need a quick setup/takedown style tent, we'll carry it on the roof. We've got a 2 week trip coming up (never more than 1 night at the same place) and don't want to drag our regular tent with us (all those poles, etc).
    How's yours holding up so far?

    • @capitolbassfishing
      @capitolbassfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Go for it! Just depends on how big are your family members...if you dont mind touching one another 6 can work but its spacious for 4.

    I didn't get my permission slip signed and what's the history on the pawpaw tree

    • @capitolbassfishing
      @capitolbassfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its a prehistoric old ass tree that pre-dates bees. Its germinated by crawling insects and bugs and the blossoms smell like rotten meat to attract them...the fruit it bears is a flavor cross between pineapple, slight banana ...kind of a strange flavor...grows all over virginia. www.uky.edu/hort/Pawpaw

    Thanks for taking the time to make this vid for us to see. I'm really considering this tent to replace my REI Kingdom 8 with. The Kingdom 8 has served me well over the years but I'm getting older now and just don't want to fuss with tent poles anymore. Have you had it in heavy rain? Do the sidewall soak through on the door ends? How does the floor hold up to rain with the footprint? Are the seams taped?

      Glad it was helpful. To be honest, I have yet to even camp in it. I know....LOSER! But a couple of thoughts, the materials seem really beefy, I think water will be no issue. The ONLY think I will say...its heavy...you wont want to walk far with this one. Other than that its a breeze to put up.

    I like it. It looks great. How big are each of those rooms? Maybe a big roll out rug for each room would cover crinkle tent floor and make it more comfortable walking on it.

    • @capitolbassfishing

      @@capitolbassfishing wow that’s not really to much room. I was thinking maybe a queen size or if possible king size air mattress in one room and a inflatable couch and television in the other. If those rooms are actually that small then I don’t see that happening. I’ll Have to get a bigger quick setup tent

    • @capitolbassfishing
