bit.ly/YFoodtasterpack_RAZORKITTN10 YFood Taster pack! Lots of you guys have asked me to speak Swedish in my videos, and since this sponsored message is aimed for my Swedish viewers, I decided to speak Swedish here for the first time in a video! :) I hope you liked it! Stay safe out there, bring a fire extinguisher and have a lovely weekend!
Also make sure you have the correct type of extinguisher, as different fires require different extinguishing media, fires in trucking are fairly common and a real threat.
I always find it incredibly rude how people behave really annoyed when an accident has happened. These days almost nobody helps you out and most people are complaining and shouting. Though whenever something happens to them, it is of the utmost importance. Well done Cassie, you couldn't have responded better. Glad to hear you and the dogs are okay!
One major problem with modern trucks at least here in the USA is the DPF Systems in the exhaust. They operate much hotter than a simple traditional muffler. This creates a massive increased risk of fire. Exhaust used to run colder than the flashpoint of diesel fuel. Nowadays thanks to environmental issues the exhaust is hotter than diesels flashpoint. So now if you crash, and are too injured to get away, you have a greater risk of burning to death. This is a major reason I drive a 1984 model year Peterbilt. Love the channel. Keep up the great work.
It’s the same here in Europe. The few old trucks left, that doesn’t have a DPF aren’t allowed driving in the cities. So therefore those are soon long gone. But just out of curiosity. When Cassie says she was on the highway, isn’t that the wrong term? Wouldn’t freeway be more accurate?
@@neggym I think this is a British-English versus an American-English thing. Highway might be common in the UK, just like you are quicker to be on the motorway there when on a highway, whereas a highway could be called a freeway in the US. (And I see there being a capability of this being different between Australian-English and New-Zealand-English as well). It's like how I was taught in school that there's no middle school in the US, but as it turns out, that can vary from state to state :P .
Hej Cassie! Vilken upplevelse! Mycket drama som hände då. Häftigt att du gjorde allt som man kan man förvänta sig i sådant situation. Förstår att det är svårt att bli av med sin kärra på det viset. Det tar energi, absolut. Modigt att du berättade! Chapeau! God Jul till dig och nära!
Those kind of things never leave you. You may not think about it for ages, then a smell, a sound, or a place will bring it all back. But you did the right things, nobody got hurt, and you have no reason to feel guilty. THAT makes a hell of a difference! Keep Safe!
nice of you share your story, reminds that we are all human that sometimes need help and that no matter if you running late or whatever there is no excuse not to help someone. sure be on time for your delivery but consider this: if a person has a story that he/she will propably remember for alot of years, and you re the hero in that story, now thats a reward that not everyone can get!
Hi Cassie, burning smells are my biggest horror, especially when you dont know where they are coming from ! So glad you and the doggies survived that fire, always thinking about you, stay safe !! XXX
Yeah I've been thinking so much about what could have happened if things would have been different in this situation. I'm so glad everything worked out without anyone getting hurt. Thank you for watching! :)
One of those traumatic events that last a lifetime. Too bad it ended so severely. Up, up, and away. Have to carry on anyway. Thank you for sharing the whole story. Love your videos.
Your accent when you speak Swedish is just beautiful! You are welcome to do it more often :D Good job in your reactions to the fire you did the best you could in that situations and thanks for the safety advise Cassie. Stay safe and happy trucking!
I love trucker stories from the road. Unfortunately for most of us truckers we wear the T-Shirt of Been There and Done That. Glad that nobody was hurt, dogs ok. Trucks, cars and material things can be replaced. Keep the shinny side up. Happy truck n to you
Thank goodness you are safe and your dogs. Fire always changes you when driving. Thank you for the English subtitles. Like how dump works. Great video from you.
It`s scary when a Flame is starting to build up! i`m glad you and the dogs are safe :) I bought new fire extinguishers a few weeks ago for my house. I am restoring a large old house that was built during World War II so there are a lot of wood stoves in this house. Btw love listening to you when you speak Swedish! it was nice :) Merry Christmas to you and the dogs!
I'm glad to hear! I have two extinguishers in my house aswell! Important stuff :) Cosy with wood stoves! Oh thank you! :D Merry Christmas and thank you for watching!
So many ways a fire can start on a Heavy veichles. Bearing collapse ,tyre deflation, Electrical fires in fridge vans. Oil on mufflers its no picnic when it happens. Stay safe Aussie Jeff.
An experience like you had with that fire is bound to have an effect on you even if you do all you can to limit damage and escape injury to yourself. Hopefully you are recovering from your 'dark' time and managing to get some quality sleep time. Great commercial break and you're a natural presenter. Another skill mastered. Enjoy your Christmas and stay safe.
Hey Cassie! Glad you're okay and keeping well ;-) What a great story, and thank you for sharing. I had a Volvo F7 artic catch fire on me once, turbo oil feed pipe split!! I went to change gear and a flame came out of the gaiter......the guy following me said the flames were 12 feet high and scorched the trailer headboard, lucky I was empty. No fire extinguisher, just threw dirt off the side of the road under the cab. One of my fav stories haha!! Have a great xmas, best wishes from Isle of Wight
WOW, Cassie that was crazy what happened to you and your truck. Enjoyed listening to you explain what happened. Your right about the electrical problems like wiring in the truck. It can be a nightmare to try and repair. If the problem is not repaired correctly, the same issue could very well happen again. Your quick reaction to the fire probably saved the truck from going up in flames Cassie 😲 Your fire extinguisher might have been small, But it saved the rest of your truck. Cassie, I have said this before in a comment, you have great skills Cassie and here we are informing you have proven yourself again that you belong behind the wheel of a truck doing what you were born to do🥰🥰 Cassie thanks for sharing with us, I always love watching your videos and explaining what's happening. Stay safe out there Cassie.....
was tear eyed most of the video. Can only imagine what it's like to lose your favorite truck which is yours and also to be a part of something like that :/
Your voice sounds just as lovely in your native tongue. Scary time, good that the dogs (most important) and you got away fine. Well done for the fire fighting. Love to see you going from huge truck to giant loader. Have a good Christmas break.
hi Cassie ! that reminds me about one of the trucks where i work,it caught fire because of a hydraulic fluid leak on the exhaust, the whole front was burnt to the ground,so always check those hydraulic lines
What a scary moment. Good to hear that you have overcome this event and that you and your puppies are doing fine now. Thank you for sharing this story with us. Have an awesome Christmas time and get cozy with your friends. Andy from Germany
Tough experiences like that make you a seasoned driver, as the years go by it will become a story that you can tell for entertainment, and all the trama will be in the past. Cheers.
Only understood the flavors, link, perfect, and shake. Still always interesting to hear. Glad you and your dogs are safe. I caught on fire at work once, not pleasant.
Herregud. Skönt att det gick bra. Glöm alldrig att saker kan man ersätta inte människor eller hundar. Och det som hände inte berodde på dig. Du är bäst, en förebild och en grym tjej. God jul kram Jonny/Crash Test_dummie på twitch
Been there had a trailer catch on fire so know how it feels glad you made it out of the truck with the dogs alway remember the truck and the freight can be replaced but you are priceless 🙏🙏🙏🍷🍷🍷🍷
One of our car transporters caught on the motorway, a few years later I had the sister truck do exactly the same thing. They burn really well when there are 11 cars on board. I could only grab a bag of clothes, phone and sat nav, everything else went up in flames. Two videos of the other truck burning on youtube but luckily none of mine.
3/4 years ago my truck caught fire. fortunately i was in the park, and i realized that was an eleftrical problem, and i detached the battery. i saved the truck, but rewiring all the truck costed me a lot. the cause? it is a second hand truck, and the idiot that had the truck before me, connected a device, in a very bad way, to the battery without a fuse. a wire lost its cover, touched the frame and shortcircuited the battery.
Our tractors came without even a place for extinguishers. bolted on huge ones with custom holders for fire suppression, because fire are common in the fields during harvest. we had couple fires, but still did not loose any equipment. one was combine ac clutch fire, stock fire bottle fixed that. And another one was unknown fire source in the filed when we were cutting. there were not enough bottles of course, because it spread a bit before anyone noticed. Cut filed around it and tilled the ground to control it. half of the field burned because it took a while to get the ground working equipment and firefighters were afraid to go close to the fire with their truck to douse it, to risk loosing their firetruck. we have no such safeguards and our guys just went practically on the fire with the tractor :D I was not there for that field fire so it might have added to being short handed to firefighting (had dentist appointment that day). no actual losses except half of work day lost.
Great video again Cassie, so sad about your truck, shows how switched on you are to act as you did, hope you have a super Christmas 🎄, stay safe and be happy.
By golly what a scary story. The good thing in your case was that you were empty. Imagine if you were fully loaded with wood chips. Tragic as it was it could have been far worse.
I had a fire myself about a year and a half ago not for the same reason. A battery cable had worn through and shorted out on the frame of the truck and cause my power steering fluid to start on fire. Luckily I was able to put it out and it took several days to fix everything.
The Emergency Spring brakes.. it takes 60 PSI to hold the Emergency Spring brakes off.. If the air pressure gets below 60 PSI the Emergency Springs apply the brakes automatically ..
Bra berättat, måste varit fruktansvärt! Väldigt bra agerat av både dig och den andra chauffören! Och till och med reklamen var bra 😲👍. Låter definitivt som ett elfel
And a hero appeared when you needed one! I have always said it's better to be very lucky than to be very rich! :) A truck fire can be a very scary experience, especially in a remote area, suddenly you realise how vulnerable you are. Hope 2021 is a great year for you young lady! Keep on trucking and making these videos ok? :) xxx
Thanks for sharing this in detail, I was following your story back then and had a general idea what had happened, but its nice to hear it with more info. Good job you reacted quickly :) In my opinion, you need a bigger fire extinguisher to have a little chance to save the truck. If you catch it on time, and if it is an electrical fire, and you can disconnect the batteries, maybe you can save it. I had a fire starting from a faulty wheel bearing. The whole hub, the rim, everything there was glowing yellow-red, and that heat repeatedly lit the tire. I had 2 big fire extinguishers and a big bottle of water. It was not enough to cool it down, and eventually the fire extinguishers run out. I tried to control the fire and put it out with small bursts, to gain some time till the fire truck appears. Unfortunately it happened in the middle of nowhere.... I got to the point where I had to uncouple the trailer and drive forward with the truck. So if it is a fire like this, or when the cargo catches on fire, you don`t have any chance putting it out with manual extinguishers.
Your voice is very beautiful I love listening to you talk truck driver for eight years wow I didn’t know that you do very well you drive very good you stay safe happy healthy and loved Hope to see new video soon🥇🏆🎗. 🙌🏻😘❤️
Kul att du gillade videon! :) Ja, är så himla glad att det inte blev värre ändå. Har tänkt så mycket "tänk om" runt den här händelsen. Usch. Ha en fin jul! :)
Well, if a fire in the wood chip truck seems bad, just be glad it didn't happen when you were driving the poop truck. Now that would have been awful! A harrowing story, but another great video.
20:23 I really love these "Vägassistans"-Trucks :-) Would like to see something like that here in Germany :-) Now I have to watch the last episodes of the current season of "Vägens Hjältar" ;-) #Staysafe och hälsningar från Tyskland
That is supper scary but you safe and well which is the main thing. Loved you speaking in Swedish but without the subtiles would have not been able to follow what you said though. Lol Hope you are having an amazing week.🙂
While waiting on a metro once on a metrostation that is situated in between a 4 lane highway and a 6 lane highway, I see a truck wanting to leave the highway through an offramp. Right near the lanes splitting I see a massive dust cloud and about a second later heard the sound as if a bomb went off, and right after saw (and heard) the whole combination shaking while coming to a violent standstill (with the characteristic howling sound of full brake application). A tire had blown and it had severed the brake lines, causing almost all wheels to suffer full brake application (obviously it is just 1 set of wheels due to cross-connected pressure drums). Luckily no one hit the truck, but it was right in the middle of 2 lanes of the off-ramp. People were honking at the driver as if the driver could help it (next to some of the people doing that who should've been more than capable of having seen and heard what happened. With some of the stuff we load on trucks here that can catch fire, either due to drifting off into vents or getting on hot parts, it can be common here to have a conveyor-belt exit point be made to fit the truck's loading area, with rubber slabs between the exit and the truck itself, so dust has a harder time to accumulate on parts where you don't want it. With driving school (regular car) we drove around in an industrial area a lot and ended up between a truck and saw a big hose on the side of a factory building turn outwards towards the truck, and my driving instructor was like "Put the car in reverse, we're going to wait a good amount of meters back, otherwise we're covered in brown-black dust" (it was a cacao-processing plant).
Then again, if it was a wood chip load properly on fire, an extinguisher would do nothing. But electrical fires, keeping them from igniting the fuel, for that really necessary. You did all you could in that situation, but your employer sounds a bit weird.
Have you thought about driving a breakdown truck, ie the truck which removes other broken down or wrecked trucks The work would be varied. Love your vids
Oh wow, thanks Cassie for sharing your story with us. Is a great learning experience, to always be prepared and stay calm when this things happen. Thank God for your quick thinking you put your dogs and yourself out of harm and then you was able to take care of the 🔥. It was so cool here you talking on Swedish your language, of course I just understood few little words, but it was nice. In your list of favorite trucks 🚚 wood chipper #1 and septic tank truck 💩 last place 😆 🤣 😂 😹. Well be safe there, keep doing a great job and hope to see more videos soon. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄.
My Truck caught on fire in a field while I was adjusting the Carbvuarator floats.. burned up a lot of wiring and the dash board Fire Extinguiser chemicals are very corrosive.. I had my Batteries Cable short out on another turck while off road.. Now I have a master disconnected lever.. Then I had to unboled the battery Cover and unbolt the termailas .. I always have a tool box with me but .. I had to open it and get the tools off..
That happened to me last year only difference was that my fire started after I did my pre-trip. My starter caught fire and I had a big wheel loader drop a bunch of snow and ice on my engine. I and the driver of a bulldozer tried to use our extinguishers to put it out but to no avail. I thought I saved my truck because only the wires were fried but my insurance told me that it would cost more to repair than to replace. Now, I bought me a brand new truck but I do miss my "Diva".
Oh I'm sorry to hear! :( Yeah a truck can become so much more than "just a vehicle" when you drive and work with it every day! I'm glad you made it out ok tho! Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like you had a wiring Lume vault. And the power was shooting out you electrical suzi. Hindsight you should have disconnected your batteries. I know of a electrical fault fire. When a wire in the window wiper motor had worn away. Plus I was on the Holyhead to Dublin ferry. When a Dixon lorry went on fire when the driver left a inverter in his 12 volt charger. These things happen in life in general. And you should never beat yourself up over things you have no control over. You are young. And when you get to my age. You learn to shrug your shoulders and realise shit happens. Keep on trucking.
Kudos to the trucker with the fire extinguishers. Also, I wonder if the towie would have said the same thing if it was a male driver - I rather think not. I'm thinking we won't get another video from you until after Christmas. So have a good one Cassie however you celebrate and stay safe 🎅
Yeah truly! It wasn't the towie questioning, but some old dude at the Scania workshop :/ The towie did a great job and was super nice :) I have some footage to edit but I'm not sure when I have time for it :D Thank you for watching and have a Merry Christmas!
you need to check your gauges to keep an eye on your air supply... too low of air supply can cause your trailer brakes to come on... checking your mirrors you're going to see your brakes smoking... you need to stop before they catch on fire!
Thankfully it happened when u were driving, imagine if u were fueling up, or worse resting/sleeping away from a populated area. Lots of drivers in usa perish from carbon monoxide from exhaust leaks in gensets, or truck engine exhausts, because they run engines when sleeping
I can relate to fire on a truck In this spring, my boss almost burned one of our Semi tractors as he'd tried figuring out why it won't start. It was after I completed washing my Truck I wanted to as my boss something and I'm like: eeehmmm...boss It's smells burned and there is smoke coming from the batterie tray and in a wink of a eye there was a Flame as high as the Truck from the batterie switch my boss, half way in the engine cab, I was runnig like hell sliding and rushing through the workshop to find something to put it out, found the weld rag, throught it over it rushed again, took the air gun and blew the fire out. Meanwhile my boss stood up looked down to me:"what's wrong, scared of a little fire?" The other time I was driving around on a Job after I got stuck deep in the mud, typical autumn wheater wet, cold and windy, I drove back to the quarry for the next load and on my way got the smell of burned sh*t and thought "great ,girl you smoked the clutch trying to recover from the mud, or the brakes got stuck" stopped got out run around the truck to check, but nothing there but smoke in between the frame, great my fire safty is exactly "0" none you get pretty heck tick in the middle of no were with burned smell and smoke but thx wrong alert only the wet dirt steaming dry on the drive train. and BTW no water on Electric fires. have a nice day and christmas Cassie, greets dark_one :*
Oh my! That must have been scary! And also it's scary how fast fire spreads once it's started to burn :( Thanks for sharing dark_one! And yeah, I've realised afterwards that water on electric fire is a bad idea xD Merry Christmas to you too! :D

Great video again Cassie, so sad about your truck, shows how switched on you are to act as you did, hope you have a super Christmas 🎄, stay safe and be happy.
That is a a great looking tow truck👌
By golly what a scary story. The good thing in your case was that you were empty. Imagine if you were fully loaded with wood chips. Tragic as it was it could have been far worse.
I’m very sorry about the truck but I’m very happy you’re OK stay safe be careful🙌🏻😘
Thank you! Yeah that truck was the best!
Thanks for video , was nasty experience for you but thankfully you & your dogs are safe .
Have a very happy Christmas from me in UK
Glad you and your puppies are ok. Maybe Santa will bring you a new Scalia wood chip truck for Christmas. Stay safe.
Good job you reacted quickly :)
In my opinion, you need a bigger fire extinguisher to have a little chance to save the truck.
Thank you Cassie
Your voice is very beautiful I love listening to you talk truck driver for eight years wow I didn’t know that you do very well you drive very good you stay safe happy healthy and loved Hope to see new video soon🥇🏆🎗. 🙌🏻😘❤️
Well, if a fire in the wood chip truck seems bad, just be glad it didn't happen when you were driving the poop truck. Now that would have been awful! A harrowing story, but another great video.
Haha, that would have been horrible yes!
I'm glad you liked my video! :)
have a great weekend and lovely Christmas!
Bien le bonjour depuis la France. Félicitations pour ce que vous faites.
20:23 I really love these "Vägassistans"-Trucks :-) Would like to see something like that here in Germany :-)
Now I have to watch the last episodes of the current season of "Vägens Hjältar" ;-)

Hope you hsve a lovely festive break , stay safe your doing a great job out there .
Glad you were not seriously hurt
That is supper scary but you safe and well which is the main thing. Loved you speaking in Swedish but without the subtiles would have not been able to follow what you said though. Lol Hope you are having an amazing week.🙂
Some truck drivers don't do a pre-trip inspection... you're looking for any kind of leaks including air leak!
Digger videoene dine :-) bra kvalitet og bra innhold :-) ønsker deg er riktig god jul og godt nytt år :-)
Then again, if it was a wood chip load properly on fire, an extinguisher would do nothing. But electrical fires, keeping them from igniting the fuel, for that really necessary. You did all you could in that situation, but your employer sounds a bit weird.
Hello trucker Cassie!
Merry Christmas and happy New Year 2021 ;)
I hate when someone tells you what you need to do and they weren't there to see that you did or didn't do it any way merry Christmas cassie
Yeah exactly! He just assumed that it had been me screwing up :/ A bit sad.
Merry Christmas and thanks for watching! :)
you did the right thing, to save you and your pet and then try to extinguish the fire, you are very brave ✌️🤘😎💖😁
Thank you so much! :)
The best swedish commercial if ever seen 😁👌 By the way very nice Video 😉🤘
Great video Cassie, hope you have very a Merry Christmas. Keep your spirits up and stress down! :)
Have you thought about driving a breakdown truck, ie the truck which removes other broken down or wrecked trucks
The work would be varied. Love your vids
You are really hardworker trucking girl.. You looks so beautiful, stay safe God always protects you. And Merry Christmas. Regard from Indonesia...
Omg noo ): i am glad u are okiee no stunts irl only in game pls 😉 A merry merry Christmas ☃️ And lots of love to Viggooo
Yeah a truck can become so much more than "just a vehicle" when you drive and work with it every day!
I'm glad you made it out ok tho! Thanks for sharing!
@@TruckerCassie Thank You! I'm glad you and your fur babies made it out safely as well. I had to put mines in my car while I "attacked🤣" the fire.
Your good at your thing to cassie that’s why I subscribe stay safe
Sounds like you had a wiring Lume vault. And the power was shooting out you electrical suzi. Hindsight you should have disconnected your batteries. I know of a electrical fault fire. When a wire in the window wiper motor had worn away. Plus I was on the Holyhead to Dublin ferry. When a Dixon lorry went on fire when the driver left a inverter in his 12 volt charger. These things happen in life in general. And you should never beat yourself up over things you have no control over. You are young. And when you get to my age. You learn to shrug your shoulders and realise shit happens. Keep on trucking.
Hang in there Cassie
wow, you're lucky, it could have been a whole different story!!
Yeah truly! I had alot of luck in that unlucky situation
Kudos to the trucker with the fire extinguishers. Also, I wonder if the towie would have said the same thing if it was a male driver - I rather think not. I'm thinking we won't get another video from you until after Christmas. So have a good one Cassie however you celebrate and stay safe 🎅
Yeah truly! It wasn't the towie questioning, but some old dude at the Scania workshop :/ The towie did a great job and was super nice :)
I have some footage to edit but I'm not sure when I have time for it :D
Thank you for watching and have a Merry Christmas!
@@TruckerCassie Uh oh my bad lol - Old dudes huh 😏 Any edits will be gratefully accepted Cassie 😎
you need to check your gauges to keep an eye on your air supply... too low of air supply can cause your trailer brakes to come on... checking your mirrors you're going to see your brakes smoking... you need to stop before they catch on fire!
Dafuq are you talking about
Thankfully it happened when u were driving, imagine if u were fueling up, or worse resting/sleeping away from a populated area. Lots of drivers in usa perish from carbon monoxide from exhaust leaks in gensets, or truck engine exhausts, because they run engines when sleeping
I can relate to fire on a truck
In this spring, my boss almost burned one of our Semi tractors
as he'd tried figuring out why it won't start.
It was after I completed washing my Truck I wanted to as my boss something and
I'm like: eeehmmm...boss It's smells burned and there is smoke coming from the batterie tray
and in a wink of a eye there was a Flame as high as the Truck from the batterie switch my boss, half way in the engine cab,
I was runnig like hell sliding and rushing through the workshop to find something to put it out, found the weld rag, throught it over it rushed again, took the air gun and blew the fire out.
Meanwhile my boss stood up looked down to me:"what's wrong, scared of a little fire?"
The other time I was driving around on a Job after I got stuck deep in the mud, typical autumn wheater wet, cold and windy,
I drove back to the quarry for the next load and on my way got the smell of burned sh*t
and thought "great ,girl you smoked the clutch trying to recover from the mud, or the brakes got stuck"
stopped got out run around the truck to check, but nothing there but smoke in between the frame, great
my fire safty is exactly "0" none you get pretty heck tick in the middle of no were with burned smell and smoke
but thx wrong alert only the wet dirt steaming dry on the drive train.
and BTW no water on Electric fires.
have a nice day and christmas Cassie, greets dark_one :*
Oh my! That must have been scary! And also it's scary how fast fire spreads once it's started to burn :(
Thanks for sharing dark_one!
And yeah, I've realised afterwards that water on electric fire is a bad idea xD
Merry Christmas to you too! :D
Hi cassie another great video happy Christmas xx
