During a debate in the House of Commons on Wednesday, Stephen Flynn MP questioned British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak about an ITV report that documented the killing of a Palestinian man by Israeli fire while he was holding a white flag.
Flynn asked Sunak whether the act would be considered a war crime, which Sunak did not address in his reply.

Britain also restricted Jewish immigration during their mandate and were targets of the Zionist terrorist organisations. The Balfour Declaration was made during WW1 so the USA would join the war on the British side. Like many vague promises made to people in the region at that time it was meant to be pretty but empty words. It's made to sound a big deal by Israel etc now but a vague promise made public in a newspaper doesn't equate to a signed treaty or anything enforcable - it's much the same as any election promises. The reality is that WW2 happened and a weary and impoverished Britain was faced with Zionist terrorism and overwhelming post-Holocaust sympathy for Jews of any kind, and with nothing to be gained from not doing so they chucked the mandate back to the UN and ran away. Immediately after that Israel declared itself a country backed up by the USA (the only major power not ruined by WW2). It took a year after that for Britain to recognise Israel when many other countries did so much sooner.
