    For future viewers:
The size of your compressor really doesn’t matter as long as you can get a burst of 120 or so psi.
Don’t write directly on your parts bags, it will eventually rub off. Write on an index card and stuff it inside the bag.

Great tip Curt on documenting the water pump bolts by putting them into the cardboard!! Another great informative video.

It’s my dream to get a z and fix it up, I just hope there’s still some around by the time I have the money and facilities to do this

There will be. It just depends on how much work you're willing to do vs. how much money you're willing to spend. I got my early 260z for $200 and a disassembled '95 CR125. There's a massive amount of bodywork that needs to be one and the engine is seized. It'll need a lot, but it's a labor of love.

Kirt, I love the videos and appreciate them. I’m tearing down an L28 and have the book “ How to rebuild your Datsun Nissan OHC engine” by Tom Monroe. When I pulled the head I noticed you removed the head bolts in the opposite order the book calls for. He says and references the FSM that the bolts are loosed ends to middle. Head install is from middle to ends. I’m sure it’s not big deal but just wanted to let you know there might be some disagreement out there on that. Thanks again. Your video have helped me tremendously!!!!

+Av8ferg first and foremost thanks for watching! That is a great book and definitely use it! My L28 engine assembly videos is basically following that book. For disassembly I’m not super convinced doing the bolts in any specific order does anything special or damaging as long as it is a slow release. I’m glad you pointed it out though! Have fun on your tear down and rebuild!

Good Video! Got any leads on finding a 240 or 270? I been looking for one for about a year to restore.

Depends where you are at, but keep up the search, you will find one!

You should put a link to Episode 1 in your comments. The more videos you post the more buried previous work gets. Too hard to find.

Thanks! I had it marked “previous video” in the description. Changed it to “Episode 1” also added the playlist link.🤘🏻

What bolts were used to mount it to the stand?

You can use the transmission to engine bolts but they are M10, I want to say 1.50 pitch.

Next time you might not want to use a freaking IMPACT GUN to remove your crankshaft journal bolts 🤦‍♂️
