Is there any protected cealing on the screen? I just bought this screen and i dont understand, is there any extra cealing or the screen is ready to use!
For daisy chaining: Does anyone know if it has to be the primary monitor (i.e. the one with DP Out) that provides data & video to/from the input source (via USB-C)? I am asking, because I already own a monitor with a USB-C PD and hub functionality, but only one DP IN port. I would like to keep using that one instead of the USB-C on the HP Z27 G3 monitor.

Hi there, thanks for contacting HP Global Social Media Support! I understand that you need to know about enabling monitor speakers. I will do my best to assist you. If the built-in speakers on the monitor do not produce sound, perform each step that follows, testing for sound after each step, until you can hear sound: Close the software program you are using that is missing the sound. Test for audio using another software program. If the sounds are normal when using other software programs, the issue is with the software on the computer, and not the speakers in the monitor. If the sound is missing from other software, continue using this procedure. Check the cable connection. If the monitor-to-computer connection is a VGA cable (usually blue on both ends), an additional audio cable is needed between the monitor and the computer. Check that the audio cable is connected properly. Try to adjust the volume higher using the monitor front-panel volume button. Using the buttons on the monitor, navigate through the onscreen display (OSD) menu to find audio or speaker settings and enable the speakers. Adjust the volume higher in Windows from the computer. Click the volume icon on the taskbar (lower right corner of the screen next to the time), and raise the volume to about 75%. Regards, HP Support
@@HPSupport same problem here, the two mounting holes on the VESA plate do not align with the VESA screw holes on the monitor side per step 3 in page 8.
@@HPSupport This is pretty pathetic support. It did not address the actual issue. I'm setting up this monitor and as others have stated. after removing the piece in page 5 as instructed it's the screw holes don't fit right side up or upside down. Pretty sad if HP didn't realize this during testing unless there is something else missing here.
I managed to figure something out. I still don't think this is the right way of doing this but it works, but I removed the metal piece from the inside of the plastic housing of the stand mount that says to remove from stage 1 in page 8. The vesa plate can then be attached to that. It will be at an angle but it will work. I don't know why the vesa mount wasn't designed in a different way, but this is the stupidest vesa mount I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure someone in their engineering design team over looked this.
