Genuinely helpful. I've been trying to get into this game since before full release and always found it too much a grind. Hoping these settings help alleviate that feeling enough, since I really enjoy the game otherwise.
If this is your first action rpg experience and for some reason you decided go brutal - consider adjusting your health and damage multipliers, like around 1.4 health and 1.1 damage to make fights more of a "hard mode". The difference between normal and brutal is astronomical, game really needed the middle ground between those.
I decided to try this game because you talked about it in a Helldivers video. I love it, it's hands down my favorite survival game of all time. Thanks for putting me on 🙏
One thing I'd add is that even after beating the game in early access, I went with modifiers on the items, one reason is because the default on brutal nerfs Blood spells and life leech in general just too much since that is percentage based, so retroactively? That 70% damage bonus from bosses has nerfed the effectiveness of all blood spells and healing consumables by -70%. So what I roll with is 1.75 health to counteract the 70% damage and buff heals back to how they were before and 1.5 damage, maybe that's a little bit much since bosses' health is only increased by 25%, but that's more me, I like feeling an impact from my attacks, we're all playing the way we have fun best. Personally, I don't really like that kind of uber challenge, to me it's tethering too close to no hit type challenges, what I want from it is similar to how it was early access since I thought that was hard enough, with the added new moves and patterns for increased challenge. I've nothing against people that can do it just fine, but I think the devs left the option for a good reason and they were smart imo to do so, because this lets people basically tweak the game to their enjoyment. Ironically, I know I would've burned myself out going Brutal Dracula on all 1x after going through the Brutal Dracula grind even on modified settings, which still took a lot of attempts. Right now though? I didn't burn out because I didn't have to grind a couple hours on him with his 4th phase, and I'll be fighting him more times thanks to that. So contrary to what some might say, I've almost clocked in another 100h since I took a break from early access and I'm still sticking to it, building sky scrapper castles around key areas on my private game, finding a couple legendaries, and even try a few no hit bosses for the heck of it. Basically, my choice in settings combines the game the way I liked the game in early access, with the new additions that brutal bring to the table. This is why I'd say this should be something for people to consider around the mid-end of Act 2, or even around Act 4, to swap those to rectify what they don't like about brutal's changes. As for the people who are all in for the challenge? No comment there, you all go nuts on that.
About Major Mortium Rift Incursion Duration: i changed it to 2h and i have to wait 2h after the Minor rift has ended. Did you have the same problem like me?
it's wise to make the minor rift and major rift sink up in an hour time slot the best you can. 40 minutes for major and 20 minutes for minor might work better =
I am playing on brutal with similar settings to the ones on this video and so far I'm getting the "Complete chapter X on brutal" achievements. So I guess Dracula will be the same.
pls keep doing the helldivers news asap :D, i assume there are many people like me not playing as much anymore but deff keeping up with the latest updates
That was me with EA in 2022. By the time I took a break from the game I really wished I had chosen to allow teleports with resources. So playing 1.0 I made sure to do that, along with having doubled stack sizes so that resource runs can be productive with one trip.
Can I change the difficulty from Normal to Brutal? I’m 6 hours into a Normal playthrough and I think I’m wanting to revamp the settings, like speed up crafting etc
no one wants to fight and will flat out run even when it's a fair 1v1. same people will chase you down when you're 1 hp from pve. players going to lower lvl area's walking around with gear unequipped you engage in a fight and they start equipping it. the pvp is just absurdly not balanced towards skill which throws me off and couple that with the weirdness I can't recommend it to new players.
@@OhDough Seems 1.0 has a drastically different community than Gloomrot. That or I just got lucky with the people on the server I played. Sure you had some people who would so dirty stuff, but you'll always get that in PvP. For the most part people didn't run from fair fights, unless they started getting absolutely rekt. A lot of the time PvP was mostly people either beefing over the really good castle spots in Dunley, fighting over the silk caves, or trying to castle raid the soul shards. Over all it was a decently fun experience, with the occasional frustration.
I pre-ordered the game for PS5 because of your videos of this game. I can’t wait until it comes out next month.
It is an amazing game!
Youre in for a treat lol

biggggggg improvement in my session tonight thanks
Another game in my backlog I can't wait to play, your vids sold the game to me, now just need some more free time😆
Regarding "Resource Yield Multiplier". I think i refers to the amount of mats you get back when dismantling equipment. But i havn't tested it myself..
Yup thrones is for servants no point having two per castle, can be convienient though.
Excellent information, thank you. especially for solo play all the real-time "crafting" and grinding is just a waste of time.
Just the video I was after!

I want to go for the "beat dracula on brutal difficulty " achievement. Will changing the settings disable it?
I am playing on brutal with similar settings to the ones on this video and so far I'm getting the "Complete chapter X on brutal" achievements. So I guess Dracula will be the same.
Can u move your solo play thru character, over to a coop server?
I don’t even play this game, but I’d be open to it after watching this.

@@OhDough Will be here for the REAL Autocanon Mech Coverage when it releases.
I had TP items off, turned it back on endgame. Wished i would of had on the whole time.

Freshest haircuit known to man. All you need is a tux
Oh my douglas
thx pal
Awesome thank you!
so I'm looking for some settings for dedicated server. How do you apply these on a dedicated server?
Lmao my name is Hunter & my fam does the same stuff 😂
Sorry bro I want to tests a 100% scholar blood , against Drácula and Adam , do you know the comanda inside ??? 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I just learned about commands yesterday. ` > adminauth > give
I assume the command for unit's would be scholar or prisoner scholar
What do you mean folks are weird? That’s strange. I’ve never encountered like a community issue with pvp. Are they trolls, pacifists?
