Magic erasers work great on my white golf shoes. I also use Scrubbing Bubbles on all my golf shoes no matter the color. That last tip I got from a vid of the Oakland A's equipment manger on what they use to clean their spikes.

The shoes came out great ! They look like Nike Blazers, popular with skateboarders. I recommend you buy an actual sneaker cleaning brush ( larger and easier to clean with ). I also suggest taking the shoes to the kitchen or utility sink and filling the insides with some of your cleaning solution then rinsing with cold water. We all know how smelly athletic footwear can become ! You are on your way to becoming a Sneakerhead ( ask your son what that means ) !
