Use a mix of equal parts
Baking soda
Cornstarch mix together well sprinkle into boots or shoes. Then dump out in morning. Keeps your shoes dryer and smelling better. Pharmacist told me about this when nothing worked for my husband's feet. Army , he had fungus we couldn't get rid of. Reduces athletes foot too.

Have been doing this hack for years but never thought of using a glue stick.
I just normally tape the end closed.
Adding the essential oils make such a big difference, if you add enough oil drops you can actually get the smell to go into your clothing.
