I don't know if there's such a thing as quadfecta but I'd add short and to the point as another plus about this video. Tooooooo many how to's with a whole lot of unwanted and unnecessary rhetoric. 😒

Regarding homemade bread....crochet never caused me to gain 15lbs, so Imma stick with crochet and avoid continual baking projects...

I found your channel a few weeks ago and adore your sweet way of explaining your process and clear instructions. I have been crocheting for 50 years and love learning new and improved tips and tricks. The magic ring and foundation chains are life changing in my world of crochet. I downloaded your Granny Square sweater pattern and can’t wait to make it. It lead me to your video on blocking and there pins I had never seen so thank you for keeping this 77 year old “REAL” Granny up to date and in the know!!!

"Cos you can't pet one without the other" it's the law ❤😂
It's good to know other people do block with cats in the house, having my kitties about when I've left a project to dry after blocking has always worried me. I'm hoping steam blocking will be much faster too so that won't be as much of a worry 🤞
Thanks for the great tutorial ❤

My kitties love love love sitting on my damp blocking projects, lol. I don't even try shooing them away anymore. Steam blocking is my go-to method, especially because it's so fast. Hope it works well for you!

Toni, I had always read and been told that you should only block natural fibers but clearly that is a myth as you so excellently demonstrate. I can’t wait to block an acrylic shawl I made that is curly in the corners. It will look so much better! Thank you for all of your great tutorials that cover not just crochet but the whole process like this one. From someone who has her doctorate in education I just want you to know that you are an excellent educator-engaging, clear, helpful, informative, and funny! I also love Sheba and Peanut Butter!😻

Hi! Thanks for posting! I’ve just picked up crocheting again after about 25-ish years for Project Linus and I’m truly enjoying it. Its been just like getting on a bike again with the exception that I had forgotten the finishing details. That’s where you’ve come to the rescue for me. I just wanted to say thank you SO MUCH!!! I made a blanket for my son, who moved 1,000 miles away. Out of acrylic. Even though I tested the gauge, it turned out a crinkled mess. Also, your joy in this video is contagious. 😊

I’m so incredibly late to the party but I took part in Crochet Academy 2024 and during one of the lives you talked about blocking…which I always considered a waste of time but said “what the heck? Try it”. I just finished my first baby blanket and steam blocked it. 🗣️🗣️🗣️ I WILL NEVER NOT BLOCK A PROJECT AGAIN.
