    We have a 2023 Tundra. My 2022 Tacoma is miles ahead of it in build quality. I’m very disappointed in it. One of our biggest gripes is the seats. They make a very loud creaking sound whenever you lean back against them. Toyota is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. People on forums have been so frustrated that they took their own seats apart and have shown cheap rubbing/squeaking plastic internal parts to be the culprit. Also, every panel inside can be wiggled pretty easily which is a night-and-day different between it and my Tacoma which is a bank vault by comparison.

      It's very sad to hear this and it seems very common commentary from owners. The previous gen Tundra was amazing.

      The interior is super low quality. Not appropriate for Toyota.

      Man, that's sad to hear for the 2023, hopefully they get on top of it quick and these quality control issues don't linger into the new Tacoma.

    At the end of the day, this is the perfect "im a grandpa now, but need something to grab lightbulbs and the occasional sheet of plywood from home depot" spec. In summary, a worktruck for guys aging out of blue collar side work, and want something reliable.

    Cool intro Tyler! Nice video.

    It looks like at 5:36 the time figure for 0-60 is actually around 6.5 seconds. What is mentioned in the video is the 60ft rollout. Could be totally wrong though, I'm really good at that :P

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is, 1 ft rollout is the standard so that’s what I talk about but I give both numbers so you can use whatever you like!

    Wow I'm surprised there is apparently no seat height adjustment on this, not even a manual seat height crank lever.

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's an odd omission since it is one step from the base, even the taco sr5 v6 has height adjustment. It's still okay surprisingly but bizarre nonetheless.

    What the hell is wrong with Toyota, no V8 and no tow hooks.

    What's your opinion on the Nissan Titan. Personally, it gotta be my second favorite after the Sierra, but if I were somehow in the market for a truck tomorrow, I would go with the Titan.

      Not Realistick but thoughts after some research:
      Overpriced at lower levels, but might be good bang for buck when it comes to higher trims. When it comes to Nissan and their renault transmission's, I'd only trust their trucks to be fair quality as those are RWD and done in-house I believe.
      Anecdotally, had a guy at my gym who'd had a Toyota and sold it to his kid and bought a new Titan. Had a much greater number of snaller issue - things not working, water pump going out in

      Haven't given the titan a proper review so I can't add much to that conversation yet.

    I sometimes think I should of got the 23 tundra instead of my 23 tacoma but there are alot of things I hate bout the tundra.
    The front bumper looks bland and cheap, cloth seats are rough and feel worse than my 09 corolla seats, twin turbo engine, price, and the whole interior feels cheap.

    I own the 23 sr 4x4 crew max. Very nice truck with surprisingly lot of standard features. Plenty of hp and torque for my needs

    I'd rather get the real base trim, $6k+ less expensive ($39k MSRP). Imo the best value Toyota, there are a few vids of that version of youtube, it's surprisingly "nice" for the price.

      Exactly my feeling as well. Just difficult to source one.

      The SR is great for a work truck, it is just crazy hard to find, I was trying to get a video of one for a long time but ended up with this instead. I think the SR5 represents what most people will likely end up with or want but yeah, not peak work Tundra.
