Until General Motors starts offering panoramic moonroofs in their trucks the answer yes. The Capstone is king of the luxury trucks!!
I think I have to disagree with you about the panoramic moonroof. GM does offer the pano roof, with their SUVs, I don't know if that's ever been a good idea in a full-size pickup.
@@mjareacts2731 no they’re not. Ram is the king of luxury trucks
@@naveenthemachine I'm grown fam, and non of these companies are paying me to sponsor their vehicles, I'm simply pointing out why disagreement about a certain feature.
Just having a Toyota badge on a truck sounds confusing to me, as much as I hate American made cars, nothing will beat the way trucks look with their badging on ir
Nah has much as I don’t like RAM, they take title for King of “luxury truck” . Toyota doesn’t even have 4 auto lolllll
That blueprint color is calling my name and those wheels just beautiful
Love the blue color, wheels, and interior! Now if only i could afford one Joe!😂 Love your thorough, detailed reviews as always. Best in the business!👍👍
Thanks for having my back Brian
I've never bought a pickup truck nor would I ever want one but damn this one is sexy
You have very good taste!
I have zero need for a truck but if I did, this would be on my short list.
I’m right there with you
I am actually impressed, not just by the luxury and bling on and inside this Toyota Tundra but I am also impressed by the $70,000+ price point because I have no doubt that if this was a Ford, GM or Dodge pickup it would be priced around $100,000. The only one Zonk (if you call it that) is in that Turbo Charged engines have more issues than naturally asperated as turbochargers often have higher failure rates and this engine has two of them.
You do a awesome review!! The color is spectacular.
Thank you for letting me share it with you
@Brian_Eugene_Leeyou are so right Brian!
I bought a Pro and is hands down best Tundra to date ! The cap is nice as well and even more goodies inside but I prefer less flash.
get a backbone n support the full sizzed amer. trucks...this is a WANTABEE...
My fav so far is that 1794 Edition.
I just love that 2023 Toyota Tundra Capstone, ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP OF THE PYRAMID!!!
Tundra looking good !
I’m glad that you are digging it Tom!
Yes of course Joe and I am going to buy one.
I couldn’t get out of the parking lot without getting that white interior dirty.
Trucks like that should have the small cooler in the center console
I like the way you think
Keep up the double dipping Raiti! Can't wait for the Tacoma reviews!
You got it Chris!
$77k for a work truck? Yep, I can see those mud covered work boots in that truck right now. Driving a truck this beautiful to work is like wearing a tuxedo to have dinner at Cici's Pizza.😂
Where did you get work truck from?🤔 never seen a work truck with white leather? This is a luxury vehicle that can pull truck duties if needed..
This is not a work truck 😂 it's the Bosses Truck. You are thinking of the Tundra SR for 45k. No Business in their right mind would buy Capstones for their Fleet 🤣
Luxury vehicle?!?!? Not a work truck.. 🤷♂️
Work truck don what are u smoking did u read the title ?
I love watching your reviews. Can you add the amount of speakers come in some of the high end trucks and cars. I feel it's just as important when it comes to the higher end models. Keep up the great work RR!👍
Thanks for review . i really love Toyota tundra it's reliable and dependable perfect 💪🏻
You basically nailed it!
That is Lexus Quality interior. I'm just disappointed Toyota is following the BMW Practice of charging for things like Navigation.
This Tundra is a perfect car for a lot of us.
I-force max 437hp 589 Torque. Tail gate powers up? Going to Zonk ya ! For missing this info..!
Excellent video Joe.
great recovery with the bowling ball! lol!
lol I have to share some laughs!
I need this.
Well if I wanted a truck to paint my nails for me while im driving this would be the one.
Nice truck 👌🏾
The Hybrid battery eliminates under rear seat storage.
Just bought one afew thousand miles ago. I dont understand all the negative press. It is a fantastic truck. I sold my 2014 1794 Tundra for little less than I paid for it 10 years ago. I DO miss my 2014 but I like this one way more. Time will tell about reliability. Again, don't know why so many haters.
People are always going to hate! I am glad that you got the right truck for you!
Ya know... except for what I perceive to be a bit of a steep price at $77K, I really do like what I'm seeing with this review, Joe. Thanks.
This is really nice 🔥🔥🔥 I wish Cadillac would bring back those pickup up trucks they used to make. They are still very stylish when I see the old ones on the road.
I remember those!
Good report, thanks sir!!!
The V8 that was replaced was slow and underpowered. Hence, I really don't know why some people are going on as if it was a world beater. Plus, forced induction engines are hardly uncharted or unfamiliar waters to Toyota. Over the years, they've successfully slapped on turbochargers and superchargers to various engines.
I believe that FUDs would be the appropriate term for such peo
I think people love the V8 from how it has proven itself to be one Toyota’s greatest engines for reliability. Now this is more so from how the TTV6 is becoming known for numerous mechanical issues.
Still trying to figure out why we need fake engine sound on any vehicle.
If it’s that luxurious why does it not come with Twinkies wrapped in gold foil???
💯💯🙏keep doing you not others don't give a shit bout you what your doing a great job
I’d have to get every shiny bit on the exterior blacked out.
😮 You get ZONKED Joe 😢 The i-Force Max has more power and torque than you mentioned. But your numbers are correct for the regular i-Force. 😂😂 It's good knowing your human and still producing amazing reviews.
Say joe is this the V6 twin turbo or twin turbo hybrid
Hey Joe - no - the latest sales data is that full size $75k trucks are not selling. Time on the lot is increasing as are incentives!
like the color , solid rear axle , not the price or int color , nice if there was a on board generator like the F150 powerboost
I own a 2018 Tundra Platinum and it is one great truck. It does love gas but I can put up with that for the ride I get. As for the Capstone here, you can have the white interior. I like all black.
I am so glad that you are enjoying you Tundra Jerry! It is always so nice to hear!
Perfect truck made by Toyota in my honest opinion, not a single zonk
2nd review in a row that my man joe is killing it with the balls
437 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 583 lb-ft of torque at 2,400 rpm**** you quoted the old V8 motor specs
Forgot to point out about the front and rear bumper sensors, other than that a very informative review of this Toyota capstone truck.
It's nice but, who can afford an 80k truck?
Is this the only color option for the Capstone trim?
It comes in 6 colors (Red, Blue, Silver, Black, Grey, White)
@@chiemekaa
Appreciate you letting me know. I meant to say the interior color.
No it is not
@@chiemekaayou are corrext
@@dmack7265that is the only interior color
It seems to me that the more luxury you acquire in a Tundra, the greater bargain it becomes. Base models from the Big 3 can always come in cheaper than a base Tundra BUT the options on the Big 3 trucks go up exponentially compared to how Toyota packages their full sized trucks. To the point that if you load a Tundra up as far as you can, the price point suddenly becomes way LESS than a comparable full size truck from any other brand.
If you have the money to spend on a Luxury truck, I think that money is probably best spent on a Toyota Tundra!
Plus you have the ultimate flex when you show up with every piece of glass opened up and the inside seemingly opens up almost as much as a convertible with that class exclusive rear window drop.
Cheers!
get a back-bone..toypta-ryder!!!!
oh wow. this looks more refined than F150 limited.
Joe and Lori and Steve and keep up the good work and I love the video 👏 👍
Interior is gorgeous. Exterior is not very graceful, but it's certainly interesting.
The only choice is tundra, GM Ford and ram all unreliable compared to Toyota
I like the way toyota redid the tundra but they should have kept the v8 as an option
I will keep my v8 2012 tundra forever and I might buy a 2023/2024 tundra when they go on the used lot for alot cheaper with 50k miles or so.
Looks like the white portion of the seats glares onto the screen monitor. That would annoy me…
Love the Tundra but this is not my favorite trim.
pro
I can't believe this guy called the control module under the hood on the passenger side the electric motor. That is NOT the motor which is behind the engine.
The composite bed isn't on the outside.
The king of luxury is the 2023 ram 1500 limited
The Ram is under powered. Nice try though, Ram was my 2nd choice.
Why be a king when you can be a beast
Love everything but the white interior
Hey joe love the reviews, but um who the hell is affording this these days with everything so expensive and pay staying the same? Keep up the work
Anyone know if Toyota is planning to extend the Capstone trim to other models like the Grand Highlander? Or will Platinum continue to be the highest offering?
Basically a Lexus if they made trucks. Beautiful truck, but definitely won’t be a high seller due to the price. Would love to see massaging seats for that price point
That truck have 437hp and 583 lB-FT so u give the wrong information
if they would dare do a 450 dually version of this truck I would buy several
Not 389 hp. 438 because it’s the i force MAX
I cringed when you were punching the the outside of the bed. I'm pretty sure the composite is inside the bed not outside on the painted panels. That's still sheet metal isn't it??
If i was the boss of a multi million construction company I would buy this truck to drive twice a week to the construction sites to see how the work is progressing and back to the office.
Thanks! Only time (more than an hour driving around touching buttons and blabbing) will tell if it was the right find.
Good call John!
Imagine paying close to 90k for less than a 400hp truck lmao
Would still take a Ram Limited
No tow hooks = faux wheel drive.
Hate the white on the interior. The rest of it is awesome.
Tundra = THE KING
437 Hp and 583 lbs of torque in the Hybrid
Can’t compare to the Denali
Nice Truck
2023 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Hybrid Capstone 4X4!
Fard, Cheevy or Dodgim is not in the same league as Toyota. PERIOD. Yes, I have had all of them at one time. Still have a 1994 Cheevy for sale.
Oh wow!
2023?
8.5/10 Funny Score. There are puffy cheetos and regular cheetos.
The hybrid should have offered better fuel economy.
In a full-size truck it doesn’t matter get a maverick if you want to capitalize on fuel economy
I don't mind 20-21 mpg on a fullsize truck. You can't get that good in midsize trucks for the most part.
LMAO GRANDPAS BOWLING BALLS
Got the horsepower numbers wrong
Lots of engine problems with this new gen tundra. Ill keep my v8 2014 tundra.
Like?
I know they had the waste gate issue when this generation came out first year but I think now the truck is better with less problems
@@scorpio_9810blown engines. Google it
Blanket statement. A fool who doesn't think the previous gen had problems. Wastegate impacted like 100 trucks. But whatever, it's not going to change your belief
@@JIPlatiumshut up ya wankah. Local dealers have multiple new tundras awaiting replacement engines.
Id buy 23 before 24
Nice truck 🛻
It’s nice, but I prefer a Ram
I would never have a V6, it's called a Tacoma 🌮. 20 years later I'm still happy with 4.7..
Not interested in V6. , let me know when the V8 comes back
It's a really nice luxury truck but it's not a King by any means, the GMC Denali is the King.
They messed up big time when they took the V8's away.
Not without a naturally aspirated V-8 option
F-150 platinum cost less than this one and has massage seats
It also tows less and suffers from huge quality issues. Oh and the drive train of the Ford sucks compared to the Tundra. Have fun with your massage waiting for a tow truck
@@JIPlatium I’ve had mine for 2 years now and zero issues.
ZONK on this review. Sit in the rear seat center position, and tell me how you like the leg and head room...... Huge drivetrain hump in the center rear floor - showing your knees to your chest...... and, the headliner in the rear center position dips way down and forces an average guys head (like yours) sideways against your shoulder and smashing into the headliner. How could you miss such a glaring down-side?????
Just not a fan of this truck in any way I really dislike chrome and shiny ✨ accents just not my style. Nice upgraded interior but I’d just take a SR5 trd black out package and call it a day.
Nah lol there’s really nothing special about that tundra , it’s barely catching up to the tech of other trucks. It doesn’t even 4 auto for real world everyday Driving
Was there a rattle in the passenger side windows - word on the street is that this is an ongoing issue and I wonder if the Capstone is immune due to the acoustic glass.
I have a 22 platinum hybrid, I don't have that problem.
Radio Shack! Hahaha!
