The 5 volt reference there are great explanations on scannerdanner premium. Definitely worth the minimal investment to learn from his instructional videos. This comment is for the students that just said yea they understood what the voltage differences meant. But really they didn't and didn't want to say they didn't. Been there done that. Paul tells you why the voltage changes in the pressure sensors and how to test them. Along with every other electrical aspect of the car. Reading wiring diagrams. Understanding inputs, outputs, control side, load side, signals, bias voltage, power side or ground side switched. And alot of other valuable information in his field manual, and videos. For anyone falling behind or having trouble understanding any of this please check his videos out. If you do, you will excel. Not only will you understand this better but once you do you'll be the go to guy in the shop for the electrical issues. And just excel in your career and make yourself more valuable.

Well that's good information and Paul does a great job but anyone viewing the video will be able to see the difference between the sensor and chassis ground. Awesome presentation! But for my car has no meaning... So, voltage are correct, also MIN-MAX number's, but problem exists, and when i connect differential pressure meter on intake then showed me really what happened, on diagnostic tool shoving (eg.) 4,5 psi but on meter are 9,5 psi, now im waiting to change MAP sensor.

what if multimeter read 0 volt for wire that go to ECU?
    is it faulty map sensor?

5 or so volts comes out from the computer to the sensor. check that wire first the other wire should be ground and the last wire should be the signal voltage. If this was a Ford MAP sensor we would want to measure in HZ ... KOEO at sea level is 159 HZ plus or - 6 HZ. Hope this helps thanks for watching.
