So a girl's terrible existence accidentally convinces Eddie of his delusions (of which are just a means to sate his hunger for approval in the form of rewards) and she was fine with it because she was so lonely and dying anyway.

Simply because of that ending, I see Eddie as a better character, maybe better than old Zack before Rachel change him.
He did lost it a little bit at the end, but still way better then the rest of the antagonists in the first game.

True, which is why I concluded that he lost it in the end. But out of everyone, I ”think” he is better than everyone in the previous game.
but she said Eddie few times during his murdering monologue. I think she realized where this is going and initially wanted to clarify that she wanted better place but not like dying better place; but after a while... she gave in coz her life was really bad anyway. I still think Eddie kind pressured her into accepting it. It's basically manipulation because her life was so shitty that she had no real selfness. The closest to nice person ...she just gave in and took his words for her reality. Instead of given chance to embrace her own reality; her own view..instead of that her view got basically pushed into background because of being so weak to begin with. She was weak mentally and physically. She had really good heart though....
I still can't see Eddie as a good guy. But then again I don't know franchise outside those 2 videos of Eddie's background.

And there's Eddie's start of corruption. I can see the twisted logic here, why he at least thinks this is the best way to keep his treasures as his. Really, you can blame Albert for more or less all of this. In a happier story, Eddie would have brought the girl back to his family and they'd have been able to take care of her... but then we wouldn't get Rachel and Zack's story, so I'm okay with this. I'd be down for the other floor masters' backstories to get made into short games like this, it was nice to revisit this world.
Also Eddie's dad, for just ignoring a problem child and figuring everything will just turn out alright. At least Eddie's mom TRIED!

I’m guessing his shtick is to kill people he thinks are already going to die. Putting people out of their misery kind of thing. He did skip over the whole “killing people in general is bad” logic but it’s less tragic when they were doomed to die very soon from the start. Which honestly makes his reason for killing scarier because it’s much easier to justify than outright hate crimes or killing for pleasure. What an unfortunate little boy.
If he wasn't pressured to that position, by the whole background. He would have been a gentle loving person. Which makes me sad.
I just suddenly remembered. They all seem to have a sort of connection with the moon? If I remember correctly, the full blue moon was big on Rachel's story. And now this crescent moon we exclusively see in Eddie's and the girl's special place.
Also, I love how Eddie's character art changed from the usual thick smooth lines to a more sketchy one when he goes full-on unhinged.
Well, there's that word "lunacy" that it's thought to be derived from the moon.
The sketchy one is the original sprite from Angels of Death so I think it was supposed to be a lil Easter egg to be like this is how he looks the way he does as an angel bc its Albert's mask!!

I feel really bad for Eddie. He wouldn't have turned out the way he did if it weren't because of his family. His parents ignored his needs because they assumed that since he was the most responsible, he was fine, and his oldest brother abused him verbally and physically. The signs of the abuse were obviously there that the other older brother mentioned it briefly. There's no way the parents didn't know. Funny how the one the mom thought was going to be a maniac (he was well on his way) was replaced by the one they ignored

Eddie equated death with an ultimate peaceful happiness. So when Albert made it hateful and ugly with deliberate cruelty, it ruined Eddie’s perception of the beauty of death. The story was solidly tragic, the art was great. While I appreciated this as a back story & the sweetness of the feelings between the two battered children, the violence depicted was difficult to take for me like the torture of a Hostel-type movie. It was as horrifying as if it was real life. :(
If only the father wasn't so insistent about keeping the family tradition... things might have turned out differently. Maybe if Eddie told his parents about what Albert was doing to him (showing them the proof of it with his bruises), then maybe... just maybe, Albert could have gotten the help he needed. I've got to say though, saying "Just be normal" to a mentally unstable person is the worst thing you could possibly do.
If he'd just killed Albert (and the girl's foster family) instead of killing everyone else, he wouldn't have to worry about them being 'taken' from him...

Plus, I'm guessing that if Albert disappeared, everything would go to Carl instead of Eddie since he's the second oldest. Still most likely a better alternative than Albert, but it wouldn't really change the hand-me-down thing.

It's so sad. I feel like things might have been different if Eddie had just communicated with his family about the abuse. Carl seemed to try to reach out fo him, but it was too late for Eddie when Carl found out Eddie was being beat up.
I really would like to see the back stories for Kathy, Grey and possibly even Danny...
Now that Eddie's story has been told, I feel it's only fair...
(Also, I still hold on to the vain hope that Ray and Zack's story isn't done, yet...and that the latter grew too attached to the former to fulfill his promise...)

The rest of their animal were already in the graves in this video and it was prequel. So, I figured the graves in the first game must be people he had been killed. Even they did move his graves into that floor, the number doesn't match.

Its been a while since I saw the anime and game (plan to re-watch because...bored), but I think I remember Danny used to bring people to rachel to "fix". could be entirely wrong, i thought that was a thing but I might just be making it up

But, my answer was based on Eddie's personality like how he treasure their last moments by killing them first and then burying them. Those graves might be fakes. But, it had to represent how much he has been killing in the past before he enter that place.
@@InnocentC0 to be honest, I was rewatching, and the biggest plot hole I could find was: each floor had a killer, and people would start in the basement. how did anyone ever make it up to ray to die??? they'd have to outrun Zack, outsmart danny, repell eddie, and somehow get through alllll of kathys punishments before they even get an inkling of rays existance.

Makes me sad for eddie. He was genuinely nice and his parents were ok it was the brother.
To be fair, the father was most likely the root of why Albert ended up that way. The mother seemed to somewhat understand what was going on but really didnt choose the right words. The father was just stubbornly trying to force him into someday taking over the graveyard because of "tradition", while seemingly never praising him because Eddie was better at it/actually cared.
Not saying Albert tormenting Eddie was justified (it wasnt), but you cant really discount the parents responsibility in pushing their kid to that point.
I can understand Eddie’s twisted logic, but it’s heartbreaking too :((

Well, I didn’t expect that to happen. Still, he did bury her as his treasure.
Yeah Eddies story was the saddest. I think in angels of death he was just so annoying. While in this it really explains how he got there.
And they all pretty much come out to the same solution. This goes for rachel too- All Rachel needed was good therapy to deal with her dysfunctional family. Someone to help her heal about accidentally killing her mother and father when it was self defense. Similar to Eddie Rachel kept getting pushed down a path which deteriorated her mental health so much that she became relient on a serial killer. Who help her way more than the adult who were supposed.
Eddie could have been saved if they would have dealt with the oldest son. I want to say there's no way they couldn't have noticed. Eddie getting abused but they wear full jumpers. So its a possibility. If the father also wasn't so determined on the eldest son leading the family. Eddie wouldn't have fell into such a state where he kept seeking validation and rewards of his own. The concept of not having a lot of money so you get your brother's hand-me-down isn't anything new. But the way they did it was wrong. It seem like the brother got whatever he wanted no matter what.
It doesn't help the girl unknowingly fed into his delusion. Which isn't her fault because she was just as lost and scared as he was. Eddie was proven to be smart because he realized she couldn't come. I was surprised he came to that conclusion. Because usually it like oh no she left me. But he realized no she can't come. And when she did i believe she knew he killed his pet. I think by the time they got to that end. If she had yelled at him to run away together. Or to stop eddie would have broken down. She was the last string but she was dying already and just accept that there was no other way. Eddie could have been brought back if the girl had gain a little selfworth but she had nothing. But eddie was so far gone that he desperately just really wanted to keep her. That he knew if she went back home she would just die. And he would never know where she buried. And belived killing her was the only way to truly keep her. Instead of bring her home which would be a nightmare for him cause of his brother.
Like Rachel all it toom was one person to changed all of it. Yet they both got pushed to the bitter end.

Albert was a schizophrenic. He was suffering what are known as delusions of persecution, and dealt with it by trying to stop and beat everything up. That's why he keeps saying that everyone's mocking him, even birds and shit.

Eddie should’ve just told his family about Albert so they could try helping him, that’s the caring thing to do, not enduring the beatings
True, but from the child’s point of view Albert is the oldest, the inheritor. If Albert weren’t beating him up, he’d be hurting the animals and (as the family tradition goes) it’s his right. A stop to the beatings only resolves part of the issue, which is that Albert gets everything. And the only way that’d stop is if his parents changed they’re ways. And maybe Eddie didn’t really care for Albert in the end, he just wanted him to stop.
This is one of the saddest, scariest games I have ever seen..

Eddie is one of my favorite characters from the Satsuriku no Tenshi series. His character is so complex and sorrowful, and I just love how intense his essence is. He is easily one of the best characters to exist, and quite honestly I put him up there Zack and Rachel, for his complexity in nature. I really hope the creators of Satsuriku no Tenshi do more side games like these to expound on their characters' lives before being taken to tower building. I'd honestly love to see one based on every character, even the religious father whose only purpose was to test Rachel. They're all intriguing and exceptional characters to me. (●´ω｀●)💝💝

Fanfic *Happy ending* : One night Albert in a fit of rage punch his fists in the wall of his room who already worned out by his childish tantrum suddendly broke up making him fall from the second floor of the house and as Karma wish (by killing the family bird) stupid Albert too end up breaking his neck... by ending face down in the shitter of the animals outside. The Mother as the good woman she really was mourned for her eldest son but all the others of the family of mutual agree decided that bury Albert under the shit and putting his tombstone there was the most fitting place for a person like him.

Eddie now free from his eldest brother tortures continue to meet Girl (without turning into a psycho) and continued sharing innocent moments together (in a graveyard a morbid place of course but always a better story he will tell one day to his kids than the one told by Ted on "how I meet your mother") until one day Girl in tears confess her situation to him. Eddie then secretly in love and deciding It was more important than hiding his nocturnal escapees from his Dad, invite her to move in his house (Her abusive adoptive parents didn't even noticed she disappears until months later and as they didn't bother to remember her name and made her live in the attic like an animal they absolutely could not fill a report to the police for missing person. They laughed about it and decided to forget about the whole matter but as they are horrible people I decide this is the perfect moment of the story where our favorite psycho killer Zack passed by and decided to piss in their precious garden and as the Girl adoptive parents try to reproach him, Zack decided to brutally murder them, taking his time to do so with his scythe, piece by piece for several days)

Meanwhile The whole "Pumpkin" family (with the other pets still cute and alive) warmed up to the girl arrival and her presence filled the saddness in Eddie's Mother heart for the loss of shitty Albert (who's name in the years of animal tradition of shitting on his tomb, will be completely forgotten). With the lost of his eldest son Eddie's dad too realized his method of choosing the heir was total bullshit and as Carl decided to leave to become a journalist (end up writing obituary lists and biographies of famous dead people and with his articles showed his father there is more than a way to put dirt on someone for example by changing a shovel with pen & paper) So the position as the main Gravekeeper fall to our Eddie who everyday treasured his new position by going out eagerly with his father and his younger brother George and returning after work to his house to find his mother and Girl waiting with the care prepared lunch/dinner.

Girl decided for her new life to adopt a new name: _________ (fill what you want here I suggest something that recall "Ghost"). The two continued to spent life together and girl eventualy found her own interest: as she turns out to be really good with animals and have the idea to expand the little house to become also a shelter (giving some of the the animals as new pets to the little kids who possibly come to funerals to lift their spirits, Eddie wasn't to happy about it but Girl with her argument and his favorite laugh *manly provided laugh audio track here* convinced him it was the right choice and if the animals ever died by natural causes they will end up in Eddie corner of little pets beautiful graves, knowing in life they were really loved). With time the two will marry, have a good family and live a gravely happily ever after.

From what I understand, while Reverend Gray set the place up, Danny did most of the recruiting. He used his position as a therapist to seek out and target those vulnerable and insane to be either victims, killers, or both.

Poor Eddy, he came off as a creep in the first game, but considering how much abuse he went through, it's no wonder he's crazier than a shithouse rat. When you get down to it, his parents are the ones to blame, they were completely negligent with their children.
I hope they make a Cathy game play because her backstory wasn’t as clear in the anime -3-

this kinda explains eddie's distaste in zack killing rachel too, he mentioned that zack would kill her in a brutal way aswell just like he said when the bird died by albert: i guess eddie seeing rachel could've reminded him of the girl's situation because she was in an abusive family just like rachel (he knew about rachel's backstory aswell through the files). rachel just hit too close to home, and eddie just could'nt stand to see her having a brutal death.
I know this would both dark and tragic, just not that tragic.
I love eddie and this game hurts so much to see eddie is so much pain and childhood trauma and need of approval was so sad eddie was so misunstood in the main story but with this hopefully people would understand his more

The scene with the cat was SOOO hard to watch but I noticed during it the creativity of the masks they wear. The reason the story has Eddie swap his mask for Albert's is not only because of the symbolism of it but a cute way for them to go from the new update sprite they used for this spinoff to the original sprite used in the original game when we see him as one of the Angels (there's no difference in the full-body one, but the actual headshot used during dialogue is very clearly the old one, with less defined lines and a softer messier look, only changed a few times to add range to his expressions like adding version with more eye expressions that there weren't in the og) thought that was a really cute detail

I really enjoyed everything and cried really hard cause i felt sk bad for eddie and see how his logic became so warped but i kinda wish their was like an end credit cg of the brother being murdered and his grave being a pile of rocks woulda made me really happy because f him. Like i understood him but what the mother said was like spot on she wasnt ridculing him he just couldnt see it and became a freaking azzwipe child :/
