I lost my own event management business due to corona. learned digital skills during locked down, started a digital agency, after months of working got first client few days ago. He asked so many services that i cant provide myself so i found people who can and outsourced those to them.

Yah it's going great. A bit tough since it's a new model here and kinda confusing from what business people are used to from agencies. But then again they appreciate the simplicity in which they get the services. Hopefully as the economy recovers, they will adapt.

Sean, what is there to stop the client from going directly to the freelancer and vice versa? If this is a recurring service which the client needs every month, the client would be smart to contact the freelancer directly at some point, cutting the middleman out. Correct?

Nope, we operate as the middleman. We make sure the order is fulfilled by finding whitelabel providers, using software, freelancers, etc.

Yep, high demand and high ROI service. You would have to package it in a way that doesn't require you to do 'custom work' for each client, but definitely doable.

radicalkills I won’t share exact number but will say it was a bit of a disaster. It was one of my e-commerce stores which originally had a valuation for a sale price in the range of $400-450k, but dropped sharply after we had some issues with the business (winning products died, foundation was 100% reliant on advertising, etc).

Is it better to have a professional web site selling your services through exclusive packages? Testimonials would also be a big help but that wouldn't be possible at the beginning as I'm pretty sure faking reviews isn't a good idea when selling services like this?
