    I put my iodine on my neck and chest topically. I take T2 occasionally and find my energy is really good that day. Thanks for the presentation. Much appreciated!

    I had a very large cyst on my ovary. Was going to get surgery to remove it. They waited and monitored it and it shrink. I had researched and started over the counter liquid kelp. I am sure this is what shrunk my cyst. I do still wonder how often or how much I should take. I prefer holistic approach, but my doctor's office is traditional medicine.

    I’ve been a hypothyroid mess for a year now despite increased dosages of thyroid medication. I started taking 25mg of iodine a week ago after listening to previous videos with Dr Brownstein. Going to increase to 50mg after listening to this video. I’ve had many people scare me away from taking iodine saying it’ll only worsen my Hashimoto’s. Taking the 150-300 microgram doses clearly have gotten me nowhere; feeling half dead this whole past year.😢 Prior to my thyroid tanking, I was a distance runner competing at the elite level. My hypothyroidism has not just ended my dreams but also has lead to me relapsing back into old eating disorder behaviors from being so discouraged and miserable! My legs have accumulated mucins from this prolonged hypothyroid state; that’s would really triggered me to old eating disorder behaviors of anorexia and bulimia. Praying this iodine is the answer!🙏🏼🙏🏼 Along with my doughy, myxedema legs, my hypothyroid symptoms are severe; no spontaneous BM’s, terrible headaches, insomnia, HR mid-30’s, etc. Really wish I could have Dr Brownstein as my doctor! I will follow his advice; thank you for having Dr Brownstein!

      Perhaps you could consider a Keto or Carnivore diet as when I read the comments on the videos for this way,of eating it seems to cure everything mental and physical. Dr Ken Berry, Dr Anthony Chaffee, HomeSteadHow and Dr Eric Berg are good resources. Most people find it very easy! I have just started, the food is easy, the will power not so much! Namaste 🙏

    Thanks for this great interview but I have tried about every type of iodine on the market that you can imagine and I can only use perfect iodine or I get headaches and a racing hard pounding heartbeat which I wish was mentioned on here. I do have like three different mthfr issues having to take methyl folate and methylcobalamine and riboflavin and I would love to hear in the next interview more about symptoms in how to address that like the fast heart rate and irregular beats and even chest pain and random body aches and headaches. And I am going to start taking glutathione for my toxic liver along with the b vitamins and is there an interference with that? My kidneys are having issues as well and I with my toxin overload not to mention my gut dysbiosis. Us complicated cases would like to understand all of this. I could never take any type of form of thyroid medication or even glandulars without horrible side effects. I couldn’t mix or match them or take less dosages at different times, they just didn’t work for my condition and I’ve been told by biofeedback machines that there’s mercury in my pituitary gland that’s causing the thyroid issues and I’ve had to go through quite a bit of chelation for mercury toxicity before. I have red on my thermography exam for my breasts but an ultrasound confirmed fibrocystic breasts and I have golf ball sizes in them. I’ve tried iodoral, Lugols, Nascent, other brands as well with bad side effects even at lower doses until Perfect Iodine. Can you talk about all of this and the different types of iodine out there and how they work in the body? I’m not seeing a huge effect from Perfect Iodine though after a while of taking it. I did lose weight when in boundary waters on a canoe trip for a week with iodine in my water to purify it. But I tried that at home and had bad symptoms but I wasn’t exercising like I was on the trip so did this have an effect on me like this? That’s was in my late twenties and I’m 46 now and need to get on top of these dense breast tissue issues although an ultrasound confirmed there’s no cancer and it’s just fibrocystic disease but I know that can change as my hormones change.

    I at 51yo I discovered I had hypothyroidism and started iodine but was never told by the Dr to take it. I realized I never used table salt and limited processed food. A few weeks later my test was normal.

    2 questions:
    1. Just taking kelp ist Not enough . Building Up to 16mg daily right now. Is this a problem?
    2. How do I know my Body has enough iodine without testing? At what time do you stop rising or taking iodine?

    My cat has been diagnosed with a thyroid condition, she eats constantly but she is skin and bones. We had her on a cream that went in her ear, it made her depressed and lathargic, plus the vet couldn't always get the medication so it was a roller coaster ride. Currently she isn't on anything but i wonder if iodine would help her.

      All mammals need iodine. You can experiment on your cat with a low dose of Lugols. also be sure the cat food is carnivore. Cats in the wild do not eat vegetables and grains.

    I remember reading, from a Dr. who treats thousands of thyroid patients, found that those with Hashimoto's the sweet-spot for iodine dose seems to be 3-drops of 5% Lugol's solution.
    Wish I could remember where I read this. Do you agree with this or can a person with Hashimoto's take more iodine without getting a flare.

    • @HappyHealthyHormones
      @HappyHealthyHormones  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      @@garydagen9575 thank you for your question. For those with Hashimoto’s, iodine supplementation can be beneficial but must be carefully managed. Three drops of 5% Lugol’s solution (about 18.75 mg of iodine) may be suitable for some, but dosages should be personalized. Some may tolerate higher amounts, but iodine can trigger detox reactions or flares in others. I recommend combining iodine with selenium (200-400 mcg/day), vitamin C, magnesium, and unrefined salt to support the body. Always work with a knowledgeable healthcare provider to monitor and adjust dosages for safe, effective treatment.
      Blessings,
      Dr R

      You are not wrong, but people who are suffering need to experiment to deal with the suffering. A Doctor may prescribe a protocol that is within the " standard of care" but if the patient receives no relief they must look around.
