Thank you so much for playing like this. I'm tired of seeing these videos of rock em sock em robots, spam hooking. Throwing 4 right hooks in a row or 4 left hooks in a row. This is how it's supposed to be played and how boxing really is and how I will be playing

Yeah people play rock em sock em and people say the game looks bad or the punching looks awkward but when two player actually box there’s moments where the games look really good still needs some work tho

this is the first video with actual outside boxing. This is how I fought when I was active back in the day...now I Cant wait I can fight how I actually did in n out off the back foot. I'm juiced.

Great stuff Coach! I found myself hopping back when I only wanted to step back so appreciate what you said. Mufasa clued me in on feinting because wasn't sure how I was doing that either lol. I thought I could punch out of block but realized I couldn't. Loved the loose movement as it fits my style more but didn't use it as often as I should have because I wanted to feel out other things. Lot of nuance like you said and it will be even more once clinching and in-fighting is included. Game is going to be a monster!! 🔥
I was also doing this a lot and it was one of the things I disliked about the game. Can't wait to play it again and try this
@@zmac5801 100%! I think early access is going to be a much better experience because I would expect us to have a combination of, if not all of clinching, hopefully punching from block, and inside fighting.

I like the way you use the weight of fighter to add power to jab and also pivoting out and reset
Tons of nuance in the game!
I hope they lean more towards realism and give the jab more stopping power or somehow cause the opponents to stop their forward motion,throw them off balance or something. The jab should be able to stop those people from just walking forward unintelligently.

I think Early December. That’s granted they can get these servers under control. They did a lot of on the fly fixes. With about a month of time they can work out those issues. 👌🏽

The longer it takes to produce the finished article, the higher the expectation and thus the greater disappointment if it fails to deliver fully to that expectation.
I have a question for you. When it comes to computers and laptops I am on the slow bus. I was able to get in only two rounds of the beta because my laptop kept disconnecting me and my ping was all ways high. I realized my computer only had 8gb of ram and I now have upgraded it to 32gb. Do you think that was solve the problem I was having trying to play the beta?
To be honest no. Your internet connection whether wifi or direct connected could be a contributor. Also did you have a powerful enough CPU.

@@aaronmunir1974 oh yea you should be good. I would just monitor your internet connection speed. Using a high speed Ethernet cable with higher speed internet can help to reduce the ping.

I've noticed that the gameplay/control scheme is missing the ability to move your head while moving forward. When holding LT to move your head, your legs are frozen, leaving blocking and dodging with your legs the only options. That's not realistic. FNC had an animation triggered by rolling the left stick half circle, that at least gave players some type of head movement option to counter player that want to fight on the outside, and use their legs more to control range.
Anyone else figure a way to move your head while moving forward?
If not, hey Coach, can you mention this in a video? I think it's pretty important to be able to move your head while pressing forward.

Can really tell you had a good connection. Was not possible to fight like that in my limited amount of fights i6 got in the the beta. (I have a good connection but I'm in Australia so that may be why)
That's exactly how I fight on the outside. I outboxed everyone I fought during the beta #2 weekend. The only issue I ran I to was I'd outbox opponent for 6 rounds but would get dropped in the last two rounds and couldn't get up because I suck at the mini game
A lot of people need to watch this to understand that this is a different game you can’t play this like any other game
This is what I mean when skill gap is a thing and fights depending on skill should be able to be finished in 30 seconds, or two evenly matched technically sound fighters should be able to go 12 rounds with a couple rocks or even knock downs.
I wasn’t really using hard punches here as I was really making content. I wasn’t going for the KO I guess you could say. I could have really put some leather on dude and maybe gotten them out of there.

Dang I didn't even know you could control your movement like that. But I won all my matches by not blasting the the analog stick forward.

The more I fought, the more I enjoyed the game. Body Punches be doing some good damage to health. December, January, whenever the Early Access releases, needs to hurry up

People were wilding with their comments. They still complain about the punches. They're not so bad, it's the players that are throwing them.
You and a few others I saw have been using the punches well.
People also are oblivious to the fact it's the first time a live run was done internationally. They acted like it was supposed to be perfect.
My main visual issue, they need more waist bending and body shot reactions

Screen flashes just takes away from the simulation based gameplay I crave. They should leave those out
