Just to add, to me, they’re more than a rock n roll band. They went beyond what was considered rock n roll. They pushed the limits to what the society was accustomed to. They weren’t different just to be different but with the intention to have a unique identity, a brand, a stamp on this world and in this life. And I believe that’s the most influential aspect of their art, to make something of their own and share it, letting it expand to the universe. Grew up on the Doors! Still all these decades later love them like I did when I discovered them in the early 70’s! I’ve had every album then cassette then cd’s. I still miss being able to purchase an album and get it home to open and see the pics and any extras they may hold! Like when I opened the Road house blues album! The middle picture of All the Doors was so cool! I still have it! I also have their first ! None of the others survived the thieves or girlfriends or both! Through it all the voice the production the music is still haunting and fresh! To this day no one does it better!! The yell, scream , love songs, creative word display! Everyone in the Doors was a perfect compliment to each other! The only concert I wanted and could never have!
