  • This Apartment is the very, very last HOME of Jim's beloved SOUL MATE- PAMELA SUSAN COURSON!!!... You fans of all things "DOORS" should rest assured that this building is THE DE FACTO residence... I aver that fact because too many other "DOORS FAN" SITES FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON UPLOAD ON THEIR SITES THE APARTMENT BUILDING AT 108 SOUTH SYCAMORE!!!...

This place is not really a dump. It’s actually in a nice neighborhood, and back in 1974, it would have been even nicer than it is now. I have been inside that apartment. It is the one located to the right, on the bottom floor. The current resident was kind enough to let me inside when I was visiting for research. He knew about the history of the place, and had a book about Jim and Pam by the front window as a memorial. There are several sources of incorrect information circulating out there about her last place of residence. Nice video to share with the fans and those interested.

Exactly. I live about a mile away from there in a slightly nicer neighborhood and that 'dump' probably rents for around $3K a month. I'm guessing the maker of this video had to come down off his perch in the Hollywood Hills to record this and found it appalling. lol

Many here are writing it was the upper apartment.
Was the book there as a memorial perhaps Angels Dance and Angels Die by Patricia Butler? That is a great read on Jim and Pam. Probably the best really as it goes back to the childhood of each and isn’t just focused on Jim. It is also very non judgmental and takes into account the young age of the two of them, without straying into them being “ victims”.
Many do not realize the portion of the brain responsible for reason and logic does not fully develop until the age of on average 27-29 years of age.

That 'dumpy' apartment probably rents for $3K a month now. At the time of his death, Jim's estate was reportedly worth around $400K, and today is worth $80 mil. Split between the Courson and Morrison families. But I imagine there was a lot to sort out after his death, so she may not have had access to it. And she probably had her mind more on her drug habit than on her finances.

This was the inspiration for the "Love Street" where the creatures would meet and Jim could see them from the back balcony when he was there. It was the only place that the couple lived for any real length of time and Jim could visit his favorite bars and restaurants with his friends and bandmates....

Luckily in 1980, Jim’s parents after expensive and lengthy court battles, they were awarded to split 50/50 royalties with Pams parents. His royalties seem to continue to grow because of all the interest in Jim Morrison’s life and death.

If wasn't for his "beloved" Pamela Jim would have lived longer. I read that it was Pamela's drugs that Jim died from. Pamela was nothing but a leech who spent all her money on heroin. Maybe that is why she ended up living in a dump despite all the money she inherited from Jim. What did Pamela ever do to earn even a modicum of recognition? I hear she ran a dress shop financed by none other than Jim. She lived through Jim and earned her fame through being attached to Jim. Pamela was nothing. According to the other members of the Doors, Pamela was a parasite, who considered the Doors a threat and a hindrance to her ability to control and possess Jim. And yet she lived on Doors' money. What did JIm do to attract such a parasitical heroine addicted bitch into his life? Heterosexual men can be very stupid when being seduced by females. You say you hope that Pamela and Jim are together in the next life. Well, I hope the opposite. Let's hope that Jim never meet this parasite known as Pamela in any future existences. I have spent more than enough time writing about Pamela on this TH-cam site. And the only reason anyone is interested in watching this video is because of Pamela's association with Jim Morrison. Pamela has no value on her own.

I don't need to write a tell all book on Jim and Pam because several authors have already done the research and written and published several books on the Doors. I have read every book on the Doors that has been published including those books written by Doors' members themselves. None of these books portray Pam in a positive light. Then if you disagree with the authors then the problem is with the authors and publishing company that is supposed to fact check the books. The producer of the last Doors documentary showed up for a question and answer at the film theatre and he pretty much confirmed what the authors of the many books write. But if you have other information from credible sources which would reverse my opinion on Pam I would happily reverse my opinion on Pam. But then, maybe nobody knows the truth.

Very sad but fascinating. Thank you for the tour! Pamela inherited Jim's money but it was still in probate at her death. She could only access a little of it. Her parents and Jim's though cashed in obviously after their children's deaths. As common law Pamela was Jim's wife. Even in letters that he wrote he often referred to her parents as 'the in-laws', and Pamela often signed her name on checks as 'Pamela Morrison' which is how she was named on her grave marker when her ashes were interred. Her parents used these documents to further boost their claim that Jim and Pamela were married (per common law) and to boost their claim to Jim's fortune. And in the end of course the California courts recognized Jim and Pamela's relationship as a common-law marriage, which is legal in other states. I wonder who are now executors of Jim's estate now that Jim and Pamela's parents have all passed on? Their respective siblings perhaps. Jim had wanted his sister Anne and brother Andy to inherit if Pamela died but it didn't work out that way.

First and foremost, Jim had it in his will that she had to wait THREE months before she can get the money. Then, her family and his family fought for his money. Pamela had rich drug-using friends and it has been almost 50 years since she died. Places change. Unless you were standing in front of her apartment IN 1974, you have no right to call it a ‘dump’. 😒

I stole a gourmet coffee sample from their porch, LOL. She lived here with two drug dealer hustlers. She needed them for her habit. She did not win her case until eight months after her death, had she held on she would have had it, poor girl. I know her ex bf after Jim died. His name is Randy Ralston, he wrote a book about her. All jims money went to Penny and Corky, her parents but then Jim Morisons parents took suit and they decided to split it fifty fifty. Corky, her dad passed, and now recently Penny just passed so that fifty percent now belongs to Judith, her sister. Her whole family moved to Santa Barbera where Judith still lives to this day. Judith is very big into Laberdor retriever dogs rescue and also took Pam and Jims lab when they died.

Well the real story on that is my aunt actually was Jim Morrison's on and off girlfriend not serious but just on and off and she's got some things of jams and she knew Pam actually her and Pam we're roommates at one time for a brief moment and my aunt told me a lot of stories of which the so-called Pagan witch who claims she married Jim Morrison actually the true story behind that because Jim actually got drunk one night and was laughing about the whole thing and which not only did he do the ceremony with the so-called Pagan witch Patricia kenneally but he also did similar rituals with a few other women and which the movie The Doors my aunt did give an interview with Oliver Stone about some of the things that she did and Patricia the so-called Pagan wife actually was portrayed in that movie as many women she was not a main focus in Jim life at all but Oliver Stone used her not only as my aunt's character but a few other women that he did interview as well as other characters.. there was also no pregnancy Patricia lied about that one due to the fact that there was a rumor that Jim Morrison could not produce any children and Patricia is still obsessed with Jim Morrison till this day so if she really was pregnant then she would have kept that child as much as she is obsessed over today she would have kept that child no matter what cuz she knew he was done with her from the beginning to the end she actually claimed that she was pregnant to Jim not in a Miami courtroom but in the apartment complex house so to speak that he shared on and off with Pam and how I know this for a fact is because my aunt and some other people who would flop there or stay there off and on actually was there during the conversation and this was how it went down Patricia flew from New York to LA to tell Jim she was pregnant and Jim was already done with her because Pam was coming back from Paris to their home and he was going to be back with her he was actually staying in that place off and on ... and so are others as well my aunt has even pictures of her and Jim and Pam together along with others just hanging out... anyways back to the psycho Patricia came to La trying to get Jim to talk to her told him that she was pregnant never showed any proof that she was pregnant he told her if she was that she should get an abortion that he absolutely wanted nothing to do with her or the child.. she begged for Jim to stay the night with her jim refused Pam was there Pam confronted Patricia and Patricia made up this love story of her and Jim and Jim laughed in Patricia's face . Patricia begged jim she walked out the door crying as he turned around and hugged and kissed on Pam.. now let's get back to the ceremony thing okay this is from Jim mouth and this is what he told a couple of people but yes they did have this little witchcraft ceremony she told him it would be all the special and magical he wanted to try it he did not think of it as a marriage at all he never signed any papers there is no signature with his name on it to make this ceremony legal nun it was just something to do he said he was stoned out of his mind and he did it not only did he do that with her he did that with a couple other women as well along with drinking the blood yes he experiment like that with other women as well.. also my aunt got a call from Pam while she and Jim was in Paris together and they were getting along great she had the boutique things were going really good he actually really enjoy Paris and there was no letters being sent to Patricia like she said there was Patricia has no proof of these letters she had said that she was going to produce these letters to the world many of times through the years has never done it and because she does not have them he's never wrote her calling her his wife that was not Jim Style. my aunt had one of her best male friends who was one of Jim's drinking partners and who also was a friend of Pam's and he passed away probably about 10 years ago anyways when the whole thing came up on the Internet what Patricia was saying about Jim writing her in Paris this is how I know it's not true my aunt and her best male friend who passed away God Rest his soul even said that when Pam and Jim left for Paris Patricia went crazy she couldn't find Jim she would call and call and call wanting to know where Jim was wanting to know his address she even flew out to LA from New York twice looking for Jim while he was gone in Paris with Pam he had no contact with Patricia it drove her insane.. also in 1970s Jim made out a will and which you can actually look it up and Google and you can actually find it is also at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum he did a will where it said that he left everything to Pamela ... Pamela and Jim Morrison are together they are soulmates like Jim said she was his Cosmic soulmate... the true story that has been backed up by the people who knew Jim Morrison very well and Pamela that the book that Patricia put out is a lie about her and Jim of course she is a fairy tale writer as a lot of people know and she is a compulsive liar as that and I think that it's pretty disgusting for her to change her last name to Morrison when she was nothing but a groupie to Jim Morrison just like my aunt was most likely a groupie and many other women because he never loved a woman except for his high school sweetheart and Pamela those are the two women that he loved .

Morrison's friend Alain Ronay, the club manager Sam Bernett and Roger steffen's interview with Densmore that is found here on youtube, all point to Faithful being more involved than she claims. Probably at the time they weren't given as much attention as they later got. Not sure about the whole story, but if there is one big lie, say a fake beard, then that means there were a lot of others. He said that if she inherited jim's wealth then why did she live in a dumpy apartment like this? Well, for one she was a heroin addict and I also read that she bought a fur coat, a car and a bunch of heroin with the money Jim left her and after that she was broke. Sounds pretty realistic if she was addicted like that...

Jim had next to no love and support from his family. They could have cared less about his dreams and goals. He lived his own life and did it on his own. He didn’t have a family.

@@isabelrodriguezsjolund9701 Maybe she didn't pull out a gun and shoot him in the face, but Jim wasn't into heroin (booze, yes), she was the addict. It was her heroin and she got him to snort it with her. Not a good decision any way you slice it. Alain Ronay's account of what happened just after is something everyone should read. Pam didn't speak French and he had to run interference for her with the French police. It's eye opening.

He had absolutely nothing to do with his parents! Even after Pam’s death I don’t see how they thought they deserved anything of Jim’s, but they got 50% of what was left. I think that I f you earn it, you have a right to give it to whoever you want and the courts have no right changing that after someone’s death as they so often do. Why we even allow such crap in our courts is beyond me.

    • @zyrrhos
      @zyrrhos 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@tonymelindabaird1826 He was still immature and figuring things out at 27. And a raging drunk. Also his estrangement from his parents was part of his mythology. When you watch videos of his father in later years, you can sense the deep regret (and respect) and it was his father who came up with the epitaph for his grave marker: Faithful to his own spirit. I have no doubt that had Jim lived to middle age at least, he would have found his way back home. It's ridiculous to think his parents are less deserving than the (undeserving) parents of the addict who contributed to his early demise (by her own admission). Not to mention, Morrison had a good relationship with his siblings and they benefitted from his parents fighting for a share of the inheritance.
