Hello, I am frustrated over creating Bluray menus. I have Toast 20 Pro, and am getting nowhere. Using FCP I can export a bluray as shown in the video, but I don't have the option to add a chapter menu. It is shown here in the video as another step, but somehow is missing in my options. I am using FCP version 10.4.7 in Catalina. Does anyone here know of a Bluray authoring app for Mac that has more options for menu creation? I can find plenty of DVD software, but Blurays seem to be missing in action.
    Thank you.

Patrick, Have you tried Wondershare DVD Creator for Mac - It also does BluRay: secure.2checkout.com/order/product.php?PRODS=4579874&QTY=1&AFFILIATE=18461

If it's any help, I'm using Final Cut Pro 10.5.4 added a chapter marker, exported with std Bluray from Final Cut Pro. The Chapter marker was recognised by Handbrake.

@@VideoTutors Hello, thanks so much for the reply. I did take a look at the Wondershare thing, but it looked like it only allowed for DVD, bit Bluray. I'll look again. I'm not needing anything incredibly complex but I'd like video backgrounds, and custom menus. Chapters and bonus features are nice. Toast 20 Pro more or less has these features, but the app seems to be screwed up and none of "us" are having much luck. Thanks again. I'll follow your link now.

@@VideoTutors Thanks for this reply. I too have exported Bluray files from FCP. I believe the chapters will work, but I am really more hung up on finding something to create custom menus, with chapter menus and bonus features. FCP has some templates, but it doesn't seem like you can really customize them, and you can't get a great idea of how things will be positioned after burning. It's very basic. Having lots of trouble finding something for Mac and Bluray.

I agree with you. I have never had any luck finding a BluRay solution for adding menus - agree it is frustrating. I have sold my wedding business now, so don't have the need any more. Good luck with your search. I would be interested to know if you find something as it would be good to share.

Many people are unaware that Apples Disc Utilities has been able to burn Blu-ray's going back to Mac OS 10.6. You don't need Toast if you simply want to burn a file. Regarding menus, I've never understood the box with a JPEG in it. I always do what all the studios do, and make my background cover the entire screen and the text lays on top of the background. It looks 1 million times better that way.

I just bought Final Cut Pro which is at 10.8.1, but I don't have the option of selecting Blu Ray or DVD. I currently don't have a device connected, but I saw you have the option to create the Blu ray to local storage. Has this feature been taken out of FCP?

Sorry to say the ability to do blu- ray has been deleted for a few versions now
