I was blown away to learn I could select the Burn Blu Ray option with a standard DVD-R and Apple Super Drive and create an HD 720p disc. It will only play on a Blu ray player…but the fact that I didn’t have to buy a special blu ray burner or blu ray disc is great! And the quality I get holds up very well to the HD footage I shoot and edit. My videos aren’t crazy long, under 30 minutes…so they fit on the disc with no issue. But for years I would choose the burn DVD option and would hate seeing my footage degraded and slightly pixelated in some shots. So just sharing this in case someone else didn’t know!
Wow stupid raisins this was amazing! It doesn't seem like it gives you a whole lot of control though as far as maybe putting a video in the intro menu, I will have to play around with it but thank you! Didn't even know this was possible!

good, but doesn't show how to make a menu to multiple videos on one disk, just the opening screen that comes up when yo put the dvd in. Or is it not possible to have a menu to multiple videos in fcp?
Right, this is just a tutorial to export your timeline to a DVD, if you wanted to do multiple videos you'd need to use a different piece of software and not FCP.
@@chris-moore-move-ment you could always put the multiple videos together on one Final Cut timeline and then use the chapters to go to each one. That would work I think
question: would it be possible to create a virtual dvd withoud burning a real dvd? so just create some sort of iso file or mount file that someone can mount on the computer then the dvd menu showes up?
Yes, this can easily be done. In the DVD Settings section, for Output Device select Hard Drive rather than the name of your burner (eg. Apple Superdrive). This will create an image file with the extension .img - this file can then be used multiple times to burn DVDs. The .img file will open in DVD Player that comes with your Mac. It will play exactly the same as a burned DVD, showing the Start Menu and a separate page or pages for Chapters, if included. I always create an image file (.img) when I produce DVDs, making it a simple job to burn extra copies whenever needed from the saved copy on my Mac.
How about of creating BDs of 100GB, with final cut, Disney-like disc? First audio, depends on what you'll going to choose. Warnings, trailer etc , loading page, main menu of Play all, bonus features, scene selection, set up? Also, can you help as long as I have windows?

Never mind I'm going to need another recommendation I don't have the correct computer to download it and I am not buying a Mac computer I don't like how the mouse is move I hate the backdrop it never loads correctly and it doesn't feel right

Yes it's possible, you can use a marker, then change it to chapter marker.

at least it works, but hits is afar cry from the old iDVD and what it could be if it supported blurry and 4k. sheesh. I miss that app!!

Yes, you can create buttons but it will not be clickable. You can't customize to add a background music to the menu.

What about a disc with multiple different video clips, and creating a menu for them?
You can include all the video clips in one disc and create a menu for the whole disc.
