Excellent Steve. I've just started S+T recently but I was struggling. It's amazing how seeing the 5 main components of S+T in quick fashion through your 3 videos simplified things for me. It all came together for me immediately after watching your 3rd video. Just watching you explain things made things click. Thank you. Keep up the terrific work. We appreciate you.
Ben Hogan was the ultimate stack and tilt golfer with his weight on the left during backswing and left shoulder down. Great video series Steve. Loved the outdo to this video -great sense of humour.
I've been trying so many things over the last 5 months - and nothing seemed to get my fat chunks AND my pushes to go straight. It had been very frustrating. I went through all 3 of these videos and noticed that this reminded me of my natural flat swing that I had started eradicating back in 2007 when all the advice seemed to be, that I should have a more upright swing. This worked for me, pretty much immediately today on the range, it felt good, natural, straight with good solid contact and spared my wrist and shoulder of former ground impact. I do have to be careful when turning the left shoulder down, not to dip my whole upper body down....that resulted in fat divots again. But once I got all of the moves in place, it sorted itself out. Thanks for demo'ing this!
One of the best golf books ever writtenits up there with the golfing machine i also recently changed to this method and the results are unreal, a lot of it does go against everything that is usually taught as you say, i spent years struggling to move and shift as taught, spent more time trying to stop the hands and arms taking the club to the inside , could not work out how Hogan managed to take it and hit the ball so well, now i get it, and he did it with his left arm pinned to his chest, another no no. Looks like you were reacting to the method exactly as i did at first, but the feel of the club as you hit the sweet spot and the ball comes off the face like a bullet, convinced me to stick with it and make it work, its not hard to do . scores came flying down, and not topped a ball for ages. My practice is now fun and i don't spend nearly half as much time practicing the full swing,
Love your vids and love your word mix ups just as much ,I seem to go in circles in golf good then bad and straight back to where I started I'm on the verge of quitting a game I love
JP don’t give up if this doesn’t work there are 100 other swings out there I use at least 20 every round and still looking ,but this is the only one I hit 2 perfect shots in a row today it’s great exercise and what else would you do,.I bought a piano and could have been a concert pianist with all the time I have spent on golf.Good luck
Keeping it real with no much editing. Magic, luv it and was actually laughing there. I would be way worse. Would this work quite well with that other video u did on the Tommy Fleetwood swing. Been trying this along with getting the right shoulder through as well because I was coming out my shots. Another good video and tips. 👍🏼 I find it easier when someone actually shows u what to do, rather than just tell you what to do. 👌🏼👍🏼
The "trick" in any golf swing in which the club is moved away from its alignment, either vertical or horizontal or both, with the forward arm (wrist cock or hinge) is when to allow or force the release of this angle to happen. Too soon and too late are heart breakers. Also in a 2 plane swing the golfer must coordinate the turning of the body and the lifting and dropping of the arms in order to hit the ball. In both 2 and single plane swings the hands and arms must not roll trail over lead too much (hook) or trail under lead too much (slice). Got it? Happy golfing! PS: I just loved your video. Bravo!
I use the swing as a method to drill my fundamentals....its much simpler. Since I learned how to swing on my own and play well with it I couldnt justify changing full time(cannot generate same clubhead speed with it). Love your informational vid.
Great set of videos (yet again) on this golf swing analogy in particular Steve - I'm hooked! - I might add (if you don't mind) so may similarities to the Ben Hogan style of swing IMO - all those years ago WoW!
Hi Steve, just stumbled across your stack and tilt videos, very impressed how simple your instruction is, although I'm disappointed you're based in Scotland, Cheshire would be better for me, anyway thanks for your help, Alex Peers
Have a dodgy left knee and back issues so tried this by flairing my left foot out with weight left then turning by pushing my left knee out over the foot. Left shoulder drops and right hip naturally turns back and up. Initiate the turn by pushing up with left leg.
awsome, like to see a good golfer try this technique. I revisted it after some bad ball striking - instantly striking it pure and getting close to shooting par again....
I think weight shift is my prefered thinking than moving of the ball. I think with trackman and stuff its been showed you stay central but pressure moves which I prefered than a static type weight
I trieed it today been fascinated with this and confused for a few weeks. gotta say hit it nice. only hit one shot like that coz I didn't wanna start hitting bad shots and being disappointed. plus it feels weird
I could not make left shoulder down work so I did right shoulder up. Also right shoulder is supposed to go under the chin on follow through which I couldn't come close to doing. Too old and stiff.
Fascinated with your Eureka concept. However, when you are constructing your box and rid pyramids you do not give any direct dimensions. Data would be beneficial.
5 moves? It's only two moves. Spine tilt toward target during backswing, and Stand up thru impact. BTW, Weight on front is only 55% vs 45% back. Very subtle. I keep it that way to the top, there is no reverse shift as people think.
You bump your hip to the left closer to target like there is a wall to your left. keep your weight to left then swing. or is that the reverse K or is it the same thing. confusing much
James Adcock the answer depends on body dynamics but typically what the swing model requires is instead of using the middle of your chest (say the buttons on your shirt) as the swing centre you use your left knee/hip as the swing centre. Now to get the club behind you on the upswing, without the lateral shift and rotation in a traditional swing, your shoulders do the work by swinging in much more “up right” fashion, which is why Steve felt that in a way of swinging more upright, dipping the left shoulder. Whether you bump the left hip or not depends on your setup but what you really want to be doing in setting up with left shoulder, left hip, left knee all pre-aligned... almost pre-setting the impact position in a static way.

Yes and Nicklaus, Payne Stewart, Colin Montgomery, Tiger in the early years were not so....

Just return from driving range trying your concept.
All I can say is unbelievable.
Contact was so pure.
Thanks

Can tell you're hitting it so solid!
Love your vids and love your word mix ups just as much ,I seem to go in circles in golf good then bad and straight back to where
I started I'm on the verge of quitting a game I love
Golf lover 1107 NEVER quit. It’s the best sport out there!👍👍
I went to several S&T schools for several years. Even 5SK schools. I spent over $10k on instruction and nothing improved my game.

I'm loving it. We are learning together. 👍👍👍👍👍😀🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩👌❤️

Great video Steve. S and T is a simpler method in a lot of ways but ... not so easy to say. 😂 I love the ending. 😂

Yes you are right about Ben Hogan. Just stumbled across "stack and tilt" having been rereading my Ben Hogan 5 lessons book.
I'm gonna try this you really are good at showing how it's done 👍

Liked the video just for your final words 🙂
Thanks for this. Would you recommend the book ? Or are these kind of videos 'better'?
Been stuck in a rut for a while even took 6 months off. Will try this, anything to get rid of shanks and blocks
Good luck Paul. Merry Christmas
Tried it a few weeks ago striked the ball a bit better but I do wonder if I was reverse pivoting
Steve
How does Eureka differ from S&T? Open stance +???
I think weight shift is my prefered thinking than moving of the ball. I think with trackman and stuff its been showed you stay central but pressure moves which I prefered than a static type weight
Hello Steve, would you recommend this swing for the elderly golfers 70/80 jrs?
I trieed it today been fascinated with this and confused for a few weeks. gotta say hit it nice. only hit one shot like that coz I didn't wanna start hitting bad shots and being disappointed. plus it feels weird
👍👍👍

I'm confused are we learning the stack n tilt or the stack n swing😂 love your channel 👍

Sorry Bob I was only doing what Bennet and Plumber tell you to do in their book. I'll let them know

Haha , stack and smack 👍
Just ran into your channel. Lack of face-on camera angle makes it hard to see your stack and tilt, and ball position.
Lol 😂
The system that made a ton of tour pros to losoe their game and surgery in the back (Tiger)
It looked like it said Build a shit swing in 5 minutes 😂
