Thanks for the update. Always enjoy your videos and have learned a lot from you when building a layout. Thanks to this video update, I don't feel as guilty for not working on my layout-as I am in the same stage in life as you-as my daughter started Kindergarten this year.
Totally get your priorities. I am now doing less work on my layout as we have two grand daughters and as you say.. they do not get any younger and we treasurer every moment with them. The good news is they love my layout.. and the cabooses (thanks to you) take care
Thanks for the update. Always enjoy the videos and the information that you pass along. Like the timeline that you picked to run the railroad. I find that timeline enjoyable too.
As always Joe, you have your priorities in order. Family comes first. You have come a long way with the layout, so be proud of what you have accomplished. Even if it isn't completed in time I hope you will still show the layout during the convention. Cheers and stay safe.
Been there with there kids , glad I did not miss any adventures or misadventures they gave me. I was glad to hear you will stay on till the layout is complete. The one thing I know for sure , there is always something else to do on a layout. What I like to do is work a section , get it about 90% and move on to the next just to keep the motivation going. You can always go back to detail a previous scene. I am sure I speak for others, we will still be here.
I hear your pain, sometimes model rr gets pushed to the back, enjoy your kids while you can you will look around one day and they will be gone.... High ball!!!! Gary
great vid. you were my inspiration for my Toms River Industrial Layout! Hope you have fun with building the layout!

Family is way more important than model trains . There is a time and place for all things 😊 .
