Barefoot young man on rocks-no problem :). I do remember when I could do that. lol. Having a husband that is mechanically inclined is a true treasure! Ben you are like my hubby and I can't tell you how much it's saved us over the years.
My dearly departed scrap metal collecting welder dad would love Ben so much. He could cobble a lot of stuff together. So yeah, I’m missing him and remember with love the sparks flying out of his garage.
Nothing is simple but you did a fine job on that table . Making executive decisions are harder then the mechanics of a project when you have fabrication skills . That table will give you years of service with the sink .I think Buggy will be a winner with her ice cream stand at a 100 $ a pop!
Ben, that was so AMAZING what you did with that stainless table!!!! You are so awesome! I'm so envious of your skills! I think of you and Meg as Pioneers. Love your family. The boys are getting so grown up! And love watching Buggy grow up. Ice cream at $100 !!! Lol
Hi Ben and Meg! When Ben was talking about a foot action sink, I wanted to tell you we have a battery operated faucet that is motion detected. Great for in the kitchen when handling meat or dough.
They have faucets where you just wave your hands under them. I think Moen makes one. I always enjoy your creativity and resourcefulness. Meg’s cooking is out of this world. Cookbook please.
@@PrimeDirective101 I agree and that’s what makes her a great cook but there’s still room for a Meg style cookbook. She is great at creative meals using her pantry wisely. She great at repurposing leftovers into completely different meals. So much that could be taught. It’s a cookbook in the sense it’s about cooking and could even have some of her basic recipes written in a Meg style.
Everyday is fun-school when Dad knows how to make things. And Mom seasons the day with delicious smells and food. BTW, I hope your family visit was equally soul-full nourishing.
What does BTW❓🦓thank you Great words of encouragement. Truth❤️🌹🥀❓🌿 marvelous dinner. . My Mom would make homemade bread. Dry it out for breadcrumbs. Fry it in butter and put it inside the dumplings. Or she would fry breadcrumbs and make German noddle's and put it in the noddles. It was a treat. She didn't do it often enough. L.O.L. Miss my parents cooking. Dad had a few German recipes also. She could boil water and it would taste better. It's the mother's LOVE. ❤️🌹🥀🛐🌻🦓🦓🦓✨ BTW by the way ❓❓🌹🥀
For some reason the comment asking about BTW did not show up in my list earlier. You were kindly answering their question. Sorry for any confusion my other comment might have caused.@@gaylewatkins4685
Ben your projects are brilliant and I love watching your ideas come to fruition and then there is the amazing Meg in her kitchen! What a pair! Add to that your wonderfully grounded kids and I simply can’t miss a single video. Thank you for sharing your days with us.
I'm glad you didn't shorten the length of the table. My family always give me a bad time for how I spread things out. It just happens. You use the space that is there. Love the lips.
Me also I thought wow hair cut day for the boys !! Have to say your one son that has short hair is so handsome and it looks very grown up for his age 😁
Ben I'm impressed with your knowledge and can improve on what items you have of course, knowledge of welding and fabrication helps. As for Buggy, she's so adorable that people will buy her Moose Tracks for $100.00 😅 I hear you Meg if I eat say at 2 p.m. I don't eat dinner but the chicken and biscuits looked good, I made beef stew with garlic toast tonight it's about 50 degrees first cold weather meal of the season. Blessings to you and the family. 😊🇺🇲
Great job Ben i knew you would figure it out and get it done. You and Meg at your skills Chicken and Dumplings. I would buy the ice cream Buggy too funny.
Ben, you might consider a 12v solenoid valve for the water line hooked up to a floor switch, which will operate off the battery for your heater, and not have to worry about electrocution. Or use a 12v water pump to feed both hot and cold water that you can preset the hand valves for the correct water temps. Just a couple ideas. Enjoyed your videos, as always.
I am happy to see that family dinners / meals are made to sit at the table and not in front of the TV and/or electronics. I see a lot of that when we go out to dinner - everyone is on their phone. That was the way I was raised & I raised my boys that way. Thank you!!!!
Excellent idea and work repurposing the stainless steel table Ben!!!!!!👌 Perfect for butchering meat!!! Meg, how did you make those delicious, fluffy dumplings? I try to do that, and a few are fluffy. However, most if them stay tough and not soft and fluffy. I don't know how a few will be like yours but not all. Help with dumplings!!!❤ I think inflation has hit Buggie's ice cream stand... $100 for an ice cream🍦🍨!!!😘
I have one son, he will be 40 January 7th, 2024.. to see your son shake his head in agreement with his dad when he said he loved chicken and dumplings was priceless. I lost my husband October 27th 2023 from brain cancer he was 68 our son and his two-year-old son help keep me going. I love cooking for them and the appreciation that comes with it❤
That's great that you have that stainless steel table to put the sink in and the RV water heater. I'm glad you are leaving the table it's full length. That's great that you have more pipe that matches the legs too. Yay, you could turn the outside diameter down to get the legs to fit. I like those big casters for the feet. That looked so nice all put together Ben! Maybe look for some "wing" type handles so you can turn the water on and off with your elbows? Dinner looked good! Yum, chicken and dumplings! Thanks for this video Hollar family!
Great job on the table. Love watching you build and Meg cooking. And the whole family gardening.❤️❤️ Boy the boys stopped nice and quick when you said dinner.

I do the chicken the same way with homemade egg noodles, then serve the chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes. It is one of the most requested meals when my kids come visit. They are all grown.
You have some great skills. Was nice to see you make something out of nothing. I always say use what ya have. We had chicken and dumplings last week, always yummy cold or not! Thanks for sharing.
I'm sitting here salivating over the dumplings grew up on them and moved a little south and everyone makes chicken and pastry. Meg has to give up the secret to nice big dumplings like that. Mine always cook down to golf ball size.
🙋🏼♀️🕊.. in the summertime you could leave it by the pump house . To wash veggies before bringing them in the house.. I think you used to have it there ?? Great job on the sink 🍀🍀🍀🍀
So impressed with this family.Ben and Meg can do anything they desire. This is what Homesteading is about, not the drama that so many video.

I don’t know which of you is responsible for the music in your vids but I have to say the selection is impeccable.
It is never boring at the Hollar Homestead!
That sink set up is great. Nice work, Ben. It will be so handy. I would love something like that for garden work.
My dearly departed scrap metal collecting welder dad would love Ben so much. He could cobble a lot of stuff together. So yeah, I’m missing him and remember with love the sparks flying out of his garage.
Always enjoy watching Ben create usable items from existing resources.
I do too!
It’s honestly harder to do then building from scratch. Good work Ben.
Ben you are amazing !!!! Meg, you are so fortunate !! But then Ben is fortunate to have you as aa wife !! .. You both are terrific !
I think Ben can make anything and Meg can cook everything . This is a match made in Homestead heaven.💕

As a retired manual/CNC Machinist, with fabrication experience, I admire your talent.

I wonder if you have also gotten a note to say you won a prize like me
Not only did you make a really good sink, but the table you took it out from made and awesome ice cream stand. Great job Dad.😊😊
Ben, you can fix anything. Meg can cook anything and buggy can sell ice cream! I'd pay her $100 for her ice cream. She's adorable.
I'm glad you didn't shorten the length of the table. My family always give me a bad time for how I spread things out. It just happens. You use the space that is there. Love the lips.
Thanks!
Love your hard work! So fun seeing you plan and create! 😊
I was reading the description of the video and thought Ben was getting a haircut. 😂
Me also I thought wow hair cut day for the boys !! Have to say your one son that has short hair is so handsome and it looks very grown up for his age 😁
So glad I wasn’t the only. I was prepared to start crying saying Nooooooo 😂
I would cry also as he has just beautiful hair!
👵🏻👩🌾❣️
Would love a nice stylish shorter cut!
Why would it bother anyone if a man has long hair. They're still the same person.
I’m so glad you were able to repurpose the top as you did. Great job!
Great job! That table, new, would cost you between $300- 800 with just one sink and no hot water heater. Perfect Reuse/Recycle project.
Great job on the sink project. Looks good. Yummy, chicken -n- dumplings.
Meg could have added a cartoon "screech" when Ben told the boys it was dinner time.
