Kangal, Anatolian Shepherd and Alabai(Alabay) etc. are some degree related to each others. All of these breeds come from places where Turks (Turkmens) live/lived. Turks brought their dogs from Central Asia to all these places between up to Bosnia.
Alabay is much bigger than they say here 110 lbs, mine is 189 lbs in winter(in the summer in the heat it can lose weight to 174 or even 169 lbs), and 34.2 inches tall; there are many others bigger than that

It depends what dog and what wolf. In general a wolf is stronger pound for pound but there are always exceptions. The Kangal's bite force and atheticism for instance, is just outstanding. The caucasian shepard and the tibetain mastiff's size and strength allows them fight wolf and larger predators. Also, their heavy bone structure and neck skin is a great defense weapon preventing lethal blow on a first strike.
How to understand if it’s a Kangal or not is that you can not train them they are born trained🥰 and that type of dog hit their chest while playing or fight instead of using paws.
@@kevvwinnin4747it's hilarious how wrong you are. Some of these dogs are known for not killing a single wolf alone, but multiple wolves. The biggest wolf breeds bite force is 200-300psi less than all of these dogs. Also, wolves do not fight battles they *may* lose. They're known for trying not to be injured, because in the wild being injured is much different than being a domestic dog with the luxury of vets. These dogs will happily die defending their flocks, and they have been successful for hundreds of years protecting sheep and killing wolves. 😊

Hello ! I recommend a Romanian breed that is recently recognized worldwide. A very good breed for guarding animals. A large dog. It is called Bucovina Romanian Shepherd. Or the Carpathian Shepherd, also from Romania, as well as the Corb Shepherd.
What beautiful dogs these LGDs are. I'm Iranian and I only just found out about the Sarabi today! It's like the Alabai, Sarabi, Kangal and Caucasian Shepard are all cousins
I had a large portuguese rustic guardian breed dog that were also used as wolf killers, very similar to the anatolian breed in size and mentality; very independent and stubborn. She would totally disregard a command and follow her own judgment. They are not easily socialized but intelligent, loving, loyal, fiercely protective, always on guard, always watching the perimeter of the estate. They are my "soulmate" dog breed if there is such a thing - in my eyes, the most perfect, beautiful dogs in the world.
@@HYIPCODES I don't know but it is a mastiff, traditionally used to protect flocks during the biannual transhumance to summer pastures in the mountains and back to the plateau for the winter, so I think they are 1 on 1. I know they were known as wolf killers in the old days. Now they are used as one of three big dog races to protect the Iberian wolf from extinction.
The female which is described as Kengal is not even an Anatolian shepherd. She is definitely a cross between different breeds. Beside that the Caucasian shepherd shown are not the Georgian aboriginal bloodline. Those are Soviet union cross breed between different breeds of dogs including the Georgian Caucasians. Aboriginal Caucasians have shorter hair and more athletic body even smaller.
You have to look at the lines the Military Lines of CAS Are more heavier as the step type of these. I mean my Alabai(pure Turkmen Blood) is completely different to a Siberian Blood Line.
That is indeed an Anatolian Shepherd. I say this due to the facts: In the 1980s My grandfather who lived on Cyprus had 2 working Kangal dogs. I remember as a child hugging a lot, and the feel of their fur, the fur in winter! is like lambs wool. His male Kangal dog was called Tarzan!! it was a big/solid framed protector.

There is one gog, not seen inthis video, but I've met quite some of them and I've seen the results of their work. The Sharplaninac, sometimes known as Ilyrian shepheard dog. It is a gentle giant. Loyal to it's core and fearless protector. It needs leadership and authority when they are pups, but you will have hard time finding more loyal dog. And nothing will stop him. Quite some time ago I was in Žabljak, Montenegro in winter. It is very high, some 1400m and I've seen quite a lot of these dogs there. One morning, quite early, we went hiking and at the edge of the town I saw a courtyard all messed up and covered with blood. A wolfpack paid a visit that night and there was a Sharplaninac on the chain. As you can imagine, the cain impeded his movement, but he still managed to kill three volves. He was wounded, but the livestock were safe. That dog will not run from the bear protecting his flock, two- or four-legged. At the same time, he is very friendly and gentle to his flock.

This was an outstanding video to see all these guardians together. I'm not certain what kind of predators these dogs would work against in the UK or if there are any. Your correct about the tenacity about wolves especially the Canadian timber wolves.
I would like to see a video about the Caucasian Volkodav the ultimate wolf killer and also known as the North Caucasian beast, they are fried from an experiment where they took several Aboriginal Caucasian Shepherds and selected the best in combat and used them as breeding males , the goal was to breed a dog to protect livestock and with incredible fighting skills, many people confuse them with the modern Alabai, the largest specimens of Caucasian Volkodav can reach up to 98 cm (38,583 inches) and weigh up to 110 kg (242,508 pounds) , and even with that size and weight they are quite agile
You're missing the "Rafeiro do Alentejo" (Portuguese Mastiff). A descendent breed of those Eastern Europe and Central Asia Mastiffs. Also a livestock guardian very similar to the Turkish Kangal. Best Regards from Portugal
That’s not necessarily true. If the owner invites them in or they meet on neutral territory a well socialized CO should do fine. Stop trying to demonize the breed
Cutting the ears help but why change the dogs design. Cut the ears you just effected their hearing. They can still hear but not as good as if the ears wasn't cut.
It doesn't hurt their hearing and it's so if they're used for actual guardian work/protection work the wolf or other dog, animals & even people can't grab a hold of the floppy ears. With all the info, channels and easy access to all of it it surprises me when people leave and say comments/statements like this as if the statement they post is actually true. Should fact check whats posted before just Putting it up there

@@nighthawk0889 nonsense? are you illiterate? or maybe have a reading disability? dyslexia maybe? im literally 20 minute drive away from mountain side villages in georgia, where every second house has 4-6 of these dogs, including my grandfather. i know these breeds better than anyone else here and the dogs in the video are NOT even close to being accurate representatives of how cao, georgian shepherd, caucasian shepherd and irani mastiff should look like. promoting these showline dogs to millions of people on youtube is as scummy as this youtube channel goes. ive said that once already on their caucasian shepherd video, where they literally had a showline caucasian shepherd and tried promoting it as an acutal caucasian shepherd. real pathetic!
i bet when they would review german shepherds they would get the most crooked showline dog and call it a working line GSD. absolutely shameless.
@@nighthawk0889what I’m saying, I have 3 Alibi shepherds and they’re all 140+ pounds.😂😂😂
The Sarabi is in a whole different level...
Kangal, Anatolian Shepherd and Alabai(Alabay) etc. are some degree related to each others. All of these breeds come from places where Turks (Turkmens) live/lived. Turks brought their dogs from Central Asia to all these places between up to Bosnia.
Persians always on a different level
Alabay is much bigger than they say here 110 lbs, mine is 189 lbs in winter(in the summer in the heat it can lose weight to 174 or even 169 lbs), and 34.2 inches tall; there are many others bigger than that
Absolutely gorgeous all of them, we have a caucasian shepherd (CAUCASIAN Ovcharka) now after a couple of great swiss mountain dogs.which we thought were bog live stock oh boy gardians.. the CO is a whole other level of breed in terms of training, inteligence, family "pet", and food intake.
Hodor as just turned 2yrs and is aready 76kgs 11.5 stone and still growing..
Love the name Hodor. If you noticed ours are all named after GoT.
I have a Alabai dog from Romania. 9.5 yrs old, 74 cm tall at the wither and weighs 51 kgs.
???
You don't know even your breed name 😅😅
I love how they scampered and played like puppies. I love them all!❤❤❤❤
THEY ARE ADORABLY CUTE❤❤❤❤
If u actually look at them you can see clear differences in the face and body with the Anatolian shepherd dog and the Kangal and this dog in the video is definitely an Anatolian shepherd dog
Loved to see the Persian Sarabi. Such wonderful dogs. I have no idea why it's not KC or AKC registered. Such a shame...
These shepherd dogs are Soo beautiful!
Anneka thank you very much for sharing this fantastic video,as always, these are all beautiful dogs, very strong and excellent guardians. My favorite is caucasian sheperd, this dog is just awesome! Anneka i wish you all the best!👍👍👍🫶🫶🫶🤩
I had a Kangal for 15 years and I loved him. My current home isn’t big enough for another.
No I wouldn't want to see them I would cry because they're partially copied on the ears what a shame
As we can see all wolf videos based on Kangals and are well known as breaking bones by chest hits and than bite🥰
How to understand if it’s a Kangal or not is that you can not train them they are born trained🥰 and that type of dog hit their chest while playing or fight instead of using paws.
No dog on earth will beat a WOLF but it's cute humans believe they can create a dog that can 😂😂
@@kevvwinnin4747it's hilarious how wrong you are.
😊
One of the most beautiful dogs I have seen really
... yes you know which one
Sarabi
Nt dog looks and acts like a kangal. She had been abandoned when owners packed up and left. She had been emotionaly hurt by that. Took about 4 yrs to gain her live and trust. Shes obnoxious..i luve on 10 acres and have no other animals. Shes everything rolled up into 1 dog. I found her a job. I have a hard time walking so she helps me. Up and down stairs and etc . Shes a wonderful dog even tho shes a handful. She likes sign language. I always taught my dogs bith ways of communicating. We are both getting old and dint use it much. We enjoy belinging to each other. Shes a jealous dog.
I love the huge dogs but im getting old and it's getting hard.
Dogs...my best friends Forever ❤
Really nice video..thank you!
Gigantic, aggressive guarding dogs, tumbling around together.
Anatolian: "You've got something stuck in your teeth, mate!"
Ovcharka: "Oh. Thanks. Just finished guarding my flock, get me?"
Dogs exchange knowing looks.
Met some Kangals at a Cheetah Conservancy booth at a marathon run for conservation. One of them just walked up to me and sat down. Been in love ever since!
Incredible video. All those breeds are so incredible. Kangal or Caucasian or Alabai are really incredible. I would like to own a friend like those dogs...it would be a piece of ❤ I imagine
Lee has a lot of knowledge. It’s incredible to watch
Amazing show. What an epic combo and they are all so happy.
Anekka where is Kangal..???ohh its Anatolian shepherd
So Sorry Anekka what U're going through,You have all Our Love Support,Sending You tonnes of Healing Energies Huggs and Prayers,You are So so so special to all of us all Your Viewers..♥
😊♥️Masha: My Caucasian shepherd was an excellent jumper. 😂 She would attack and clear low fences to get any intruder. Ivor and Sasha are not as agile as she was but they are protective of my kids with strangers.
These magnificent dogs ❤❤❤
Beautiful beautiful creatures!
They are all Beautiful
I had a Caucasian shepherd, best dog ever. Super stubborn, but loved everyone.
Good video Anika, and good sponsorship, great seeing these dogs working, not house pets
Hello !
I recommend a Romanian breed that is recently recognized worldwide.
A very good breed for guarding animals. A large dog.
It is called Bucovina Romanian Shepherd.
Or the Carpathian Shepherd, also from Romania, as well as the Corb Shepherd.
Great episode!!! All I saw is giant fluffy cuddle pups. Wanted to reach through the screen and hug them all .
What beautiful dogs these LGDs are. I'm Iranian and I only just found out about the Sarabi today! It's like the Alabai, Sarabi, Kangal and Caucasian Shepard are all cousins
Persian sarabi shepherd dogs -The king 💪.
Just incredible 😍
The height dimensions mentioned are rather minimum dimensions. Almost all males of these breeds reach shoulder heights of around 85 cm
I love this Anneka ❤ I really hope you are doing well and wish you all the very best for the future.
I had a Ovcharka Pyrenees cross. The worst decision of my life. She was terrifying. I'm used to LGD breeds, but wow!
And is the Portuguese rustic guardian an actual wolf killer (1 on 1) or would it need another dog for help?
@@HYIPCODES I don't know but it is a mastiff, traditionally used to protect flocks during the biannual transhumance to summer pastures in the mountains and back to the plateau for the winter, so I think they are 1 on 1. I know they were known as wolf killers in the old days. Now they are used as one of three big dog races to protect the Iberian wolf from extinction.
Outstanding! ✨💯
really cool too see these powerful breeds working together
Beautiful dogs! The farm is doing good work.
Such magnificent dogs!! So handsome ❤️and devoted.
chihuahua: may I join the gang?
Love the videos. I have raised Shepards for over 30 years. These pups are awesome.
I think I will stick with my favorite Dog breed the German shepherd or German Shepherd Shepherd mix. ❤️🐕🦺😉😇❤️
Or German shepherd pitbull Maltese mix! They lovely breed!
I have never heard of 3 of these 4 dog breeds thank you
Beautiful dogs but that Anatolian is a great specimen
I own a Dogo and a Presa and cant have another male or female. Both are big dominant dogs. This was a great episode truly enjoyed
I find them all cute and fluffy .
Man, this lady is gorgeous, and I love her passion for dogs, working breeds in particular. This is my favorite dog channel.
Black dog is just majestic 😍
True. And black wolves, even more so.
The black male was beautiful 🖤
Extremely beautiful probably the best looking lsg I've seen
You have seen sarabi, ghadarijan, khorasani, sangsari and pajder have not been seen yet.
Sarabi very powerful 👏 🙌
Turkish anatolian Kangal shepherd dog is the best wolf killer in the world
Amazing video, beautiful dogs - only missing Tibetan Mastiff to have all 5 wolf killers :)
But here's the thing - I'm from Caucasus myself and let me tell you people keep Caucasian Ovcharka in apartments with no problem at all (2-3h exercise a day, strong owner and lot of training) - I cannot speak about the other breeds however as I have no personal experience with them
Thank you for this great video I really enjoyed this
Then you should know our breed name Kavkasiuri Nagazi from Georgia! Btw this NOT a Nagazi but Illyrian lol
@@waso778 I'm from Caucasus but not from Georgia so I don't know Georgian names but this particular dog looks more Illyrian that's true - my main point was these dogs can be kept in apartment but of course it's depends on owner
@@wristrolls1817 appartement? The Georgian names are the real orginal names. Not the Russians give our breed over 2000 years. Nooooo you never seen a full breed one, I have 105 kilo one. It's a prison to keep such dog in a flat.
@@waso778 расслабься, малыш 🙏🏼
Excellent upload! Majestic beasts. ❤
Какие красивые просто супер ❤️👍✌️🖐️😊!
Beautiful flock guardian breeds
Caucasian has to be my favorite of the bunch.
Yes they are the sweetest most loving dog you will ever come across
@@commendatori1lol Kavkasiuri Nagazi pure breed from Georgia is a killer, not sweet at all. My dog 105 kilo Nagazi. My dog attack strangers in a heart beat.
BUT in this video they don't show a Nagazi but Illyrian from Balkan. Funny those people who make this video don't know much about dogs.
@ThePurmi I meant more so with the family.. he was guarding from 3 months
Old he is only 4 months now and very protective.. 105kg is a big dog. Jozo dogs have similar size Caucasian Shepherds..
Amazing dogs! Lee is very knowledgable also.
Amazing that most likely a wolf will win one-on-one. These must out weigh a wolf by close to 100 pounds! Awesome video! Thank you ❤️
Grey wolves often get over 200lbs. Any dog that can tangle with one is amazing.
Not against the north American grey wolf

They are 40-170 lbs You are wrong Google don't lie
@@honeyFoxx420 a 40lb full grown pygmy wolf? I think Google is becoming more and more biased and useless at the same time. Canadian grey wolves very often get over 200lbs but I guess Google knows best. Lol
Majestic dogs! Great video!
The only dog you’re missing now is the Ghadrejani!
The sheep are like WTF is happening🤣 The dogs are beautiful😎
I have alabai Tibetan mastiff and Caucasian shepherd looking for my kangal
This was an outstanding video to see all these guardians together. I'm not certain what kind of predators these dogs would work against in the UK or if there are any.
Your correct about the tenacity about wolves especially the Canadian timber wolves.
I would like to see a video about the Caucasian Volkodav the ultimate wolf killer and also known as the North Caucasian beast, they are fried from an experiment where they took several Aboriginal Caucasian Shepherds and selected the best in combat and used them as breeding males , the goal was to breed a dog to protect livestock and with incredible fighting skills, many people confuse them with the modern Alabai, the largest specimens of Caucasian Volkodav can reach up to 98 cm (38,583 inches) and weigh up to 110 kg (242,508 pounds) , and even with that size and weight they are quite agile
still smaller than sarabi
@@raiderkrane720 The dogfighting Sarabi is larger than the Caucasian Volkodav, but the largest livestock guard dog is the Caucasian Volkodav
@@Smokywildlife highly doubt that ive seen so many caucasian volkodav nothing special to be honest but I respect your opinion
@@SmokywildlifeMy Kavkasiuri Nagazi is 105 king breed. No dog can match certainly not a Volkadov.
Sarabi & pejhdar are in another level .
You're missing the "Rafeiro do Alentejo" (Portuguese Mastiff). A descendent breed of those Eastern Europe and Central Asia Mastiffs. Also a livestock guardian very similar to the Turkish Kangal. Best Regards from Portugal
The Caucasian Shepherd is NOT lovely to humans they do not know. You all know this. Please be clear about this.
That’s not necessarily true. If the owner invites them in or they meet on neutral territory a well socialized CO should do fine. Stop trying to demonize the breed
My CO don't like anyone outside my house...
@@seanhines8369 mine don't like people at all.. even the people that held him when he was 8-16 weeks

Or at all
Such lovely dogs!
Should fact check whats posted before just Putting it up there
The ear is just a floppy appendage made of cartilage bro....
Caucasian Shepherd is my favorite dog....I love them. 🐶❤️😍
