I can’t front that next update we better get some kind of a linear arrangement view and step sequence that needs a ton of work but this is very helpful
The step sequencer is unique and only limited to your imagination. A slept on feauture sometimes i think to do with the fact alot of users mainly use the MPC for Hiphop. For anyone experimenting with harsher music like Noise, Industrial, experimental/electronic this feature rules. You can literally improvise a whole live set with just the step sequencer/ track window/step presets/X,Y axis/and switching up drum programs to transition songs. Then sync a hardware synth to the step sequencer etc..
This really helped me understand that the sequencer can be another tool to get that beat from my head into the mpc. I usually avoided it because I didn't understand the workflow.

This is one of the reasons I'll buy an MPC because me using Fl Studio a step sequence will be easy for me to use to make drums in the MPC. The cross-over will be easy for me cause Im really not that much into figure drumming but that step sequencer will work for me using the MPC based on my Fl Studio experience. It's like the same concept in a way to me.

Living pages is annoying they could've at least put partial of it up top and the other partial down bottom creating a 32 length. It needs to be redone. great video

I love step sequencers they can build some interesting patterns especially with drums and 303 type synth patterns

But for melodies, the list edit is very practical too.
In combination with record it advances note per note to the next tc.
