Just got one of these. Every other tutorial I've watched except for one Masterclass series has been a bunch of waffle covering basics, and here you are just dropping example after example of 'wait... you can do that!?' Excellent content. I was impressed as hell with the Live but your videos have shown me it's like 10x deeper than I had even assumed.

Dude, you're one of the best that I've seen in terms of clear and concise explanation of the process in the workflow that you're using. Thank you so much. This really helped. I was struggling with streamlining my process and I was kind of figuring it out but it was more like feelin around in the dark for the light switch rather than actually understanding what I was doin
This was a much more clear explanation than even the official Akai manual which I got with my live 2!
Anyways, you just got a subscriber out of me for sure my friend, much appreciation for the work you do man. God bless!

In the MPC 2000XL you were able to sample something and setup a loop point in the sample. Then you could move the entire loop within the sample wherever you wanted. These new MPC's don't seem to be capable of doing that. How could a 30 year old machine do that and these new one's can't is beyond me.

Finally someone talented, that slso responds to comments, you are special one, I have asking how to mute, drum parts, and unmute to an arrangement, you can't seem to mute individual drum parts, like, hats, shakers etc for build up,
I can't even them in piano roll, even automation does work when you mute single drum elements, it's only wants to either the the e tire drum beats, this is ashams to Akai, every sequencer can mute anything
anytime, and memorize all your mutes, but Akai seems pushing people towards sampling more than creating complex rhythms and patterns,
you the right person that would know how to use mutes to build up interesting drums grooves for songs, please make a videos about, but don't rush as you did here, go litt5by little, some people are new to Mpc, so make your appeal to all.thanks

You have to press the pad mute button and it lets u mute that individual pad. Just make sure it’s the right track and program. That’s what u do on the MPC One. But I’m sure you have that option with the MPC X and Live 2.
