Those levers are NOT for controlling the flow of water! By doing that, you're putting uneccesary pressure on the pump, as it's still working at full capacity while trying to push water through a smaller hole. Recipe for a short lifespan. Aquael also state this in the manual.
If i leave the power on and want to clean the pre-filter, i accidentally turn too much of the valve and the hose disconnect with the power on will it spray water?

Has anyone experienced the filter stopping to work? Not sure if this is whats referred to as airlock. Its a nightmare getting it atarted again
If you leave the power on and you off both the inlet and the outlet would it spoil the impeller?
