I'm getting the 1000 version on Monday and I was wondering - Can I put the canister horizonatally or does it need to be vertically?
It have to stay vertically.

Does the inflow need to be under water? I find the flow not very strong even when turned up? Thank you
Unfortunately I have been having a bad experience with these filters and Aquaels customer service. I purchased 3 of these filters and two of them have terrible issues with air spurting out of them. This seems to be a common problem in forums on the internet where air gets drawn into the inlet valves. Aquael released a version 2 model which tried to resolve the issue but unfortunately the new model is a lot worse than the version 1. My filters are only a few months old but Aquaels service has been awful and they don’t even respond to emails. Despite their obvious lawful obligation for them to fulfill their own warranty their customer care has been nonexistent.
Hi, have you contacted the seller of the product? The normal route to dealing with product warranty issues is to contact the retailer first.
Yes. They don't respond to e-mails at all. Other companies will respond to customers directly. They just ignore you. Or here where others can see they just fob you off on the retailer.
Did you ever get any resolution of your issues? I'm interested the Ultramax filters because I like the idea of the prefilter but your comment, among others, has given me pause. I'm especially concerned about the lack of support from Aquael. And its own response to you makes it sound like it's not helpful or responsive to customers' issues.

No response. Except a comment on this video or my first one. Asking me what e-mail I used.
They then deleted my response. I responded again. Haven't checked if they deleted that too! The e-mail address was correct by the way.
The filter is fine. If you buy off a reputable dealer you should be okay.
But forget about dealing with them directly. The Polish HQ at any rate. They might up their game in the US... Or not.

Has anyone experienced the filter stopping to work? Not sure if this is whats referred to as airlock. Its a nightmare getting it atarted again

I'm confused about the images I have seen of this filter.. I want to buy the 1000, but I have seen two different versions. One looks the same as this, the other has two buttons (or similar) on the top. What are the differences?

@@AQUAEL25 Just to add; The official UK Aquael website shows Ultramax with buttons on the top, where as your video doesn't.
@@AQUAEL25 Just search Aquael Ultramax 1000 and look at images. You'll see one with buttons on the top, and one without.

A video showing how to reset this filter after cleaning because it is a nightmare to get it going again..I am literally about to smash it to bits with a hammer😁 I have been trying for hours to get it going with no luck.
after cleaning ANY filter you can do it by old school sip[hon method, imagine you don't have pump (like in eheim classic), put baskets with media inside, NO water fill - IT SHOULD BE EMPTY OF WATER! connect everything, suck output hose with your mouth until water is going in filter and siphon effect will do the rest...
i need ultramax 2000 with 16mm tubing please
is possible to use valves from 1500 16mm tubing to 2000 19mm tubing?
