I wish someone or something could pick me up and twist my spine to pop like that. I feel like it would straighten me up and relieve my pain. Or kill me. Either way. lol
I imagine it is gripping the leg above and below enough to pull the knee apart slightly and take the weight that normally would be on the knee onto itself. The crunch being the knee pulling apart. And yeah, that honestly sounds appealing for my bad knee lol
It was shown in Batman Begins how Wayne was really adept at making his fortune on his own. In a way he was both "Old Money" and "New Money." Considering he never seemed concerned about the financial hit he took from Bane's actions, I am sure he was already working on getting back on his financial feet before that day was out. It did let him be able to focus more on what Bane was doing to Gotham than any attack on his company.
Unfortunately not. We already have multiple variants of this technology in real life. It’s too expensive for people to actually use in number large enough to make a fortune.
Rikk Wolf No, martial artists train their bodies to increase their bone density. Even if he was inactive for a fair amount of time, his bones would have retained much of their density unless he had a medical condition.
Toa Onua Ugh. How about we let a joke be a joke? It looked ridiculous and unbelievable and I'd say no cartilage left in your knee is a pretty serious medical condition.
I remember I commented on this video a few years ago and I think it's safe to say we're all here because we have a bad knee or knees and love the sound of the crunch noise his knee makes as it's being pulled apart by the brace 😂
I have a feeling his knee injury wasn’t as bad as he thought. It likely was more psychological. Rachel’s death and the Joker incident did a number on him psychologically. The brace didn’t help as much as finding himself in that prison.
Why didn't he use the knee brace years before? From the look of it, it nearly completely healed his leg, since he didn't need it after he recovered from his first fight with Bane.
Curtis I The crime fighting is not the point. The point is he could have healed his leg at any time during the 8 years that the leg brace existed, which would mean he wouldn't need that cane anymore.
probably knew this wasn't healthy for his body. I know it's not realistic anyway, but device like this sort of messes up with your real muscles, or whatever you have broken. He only used it because there was no other choice to rehabilitate that leg in such short time. In real life it would be impossible, or take months. In the film, he was able to "cheat". that's the case
He was stale, stagnant, frozen in time after the joker and dent thing. He kept himself withdrawn and dormant. The task had been done. He didn't need to be batman anymore and thus didn't keep up with the exercises.

Batman is actually very fast, they just slow thigns down in move so we can see it, and dont show real speed, like dragon ball for exmaple, Cristopher Nolan siad that Batman is so fast criminals perceive him as nothing but a blur but that he slowed it down so we can better see it , Bruce stomped 17 traiend and armed crimilans in 21 second that is superhuman combat speed. Also, Gotham Knight is canon to Nolan verse ( Christopher Nolan himself siad show is canon ) and in that show, Batman is faster than sniper bullet.
Question, since I do not know and don't have knee problems yet. Can someone exactly explain what happens to his leg/knee in this scene. Was it his leg, quad, or knee that cracked. Exactly how was the brace getting him back on his feet instantly, when the doctors in the others scene he had no cartilage.
We are close to braces like this. There is lots of good stuff out there now for knees, not bulky either, pretty nice looking. Ossur and Ottobock do some nice looking ones.
I wonder what happened to his knee in the first place they never went into detail and if it was actual damage to the bone I don't think a compressor knee brace would fix it and make it super human to kick a brick wall. His knee must've just been dislocated
it is assumed his knee was injured after his fall at the end of the dark knight, where harvey died. not to mention all those times he fell from high distances and landed on his feet during his time as batman
Something like this was a part of a prototype "Future Soldier" layout in scientific american. It also had a component running along the spine to reduce the load of the soldier's gear and increase the soldiers longevity. There were cool options like a 'third-arm' attached to the spinal support to hold a heavy weapon. On the low tech side, I have a knee brace with springs running down either side of the leg. I'm sure they don't make me stronger, but my bad knee is more stable with this brace than more flexible versions I've tried.
Floydandsome he has no cartilage left in his knee due to overusing and diminishing it whenever he was batman. Cartilage acts as a cushion support for your joint movements. He uses the brace as his new support for his knee since his cartilage is all gone!
