    Loved hearing about your little neice "knitting". If you watch Fruity Knitting, Andrea has shown her neices knitting and the little one looks to be about 2 yrs old. She's adorable with her knitting. So keep knitting with her and she will become a knitter too. ❤

      Omg that sounds so adorable, I’m going to have to watch that! I’m really hoping she becomes a knitter ☺️

    Hi Karlie, here is thought about your dress. I was thinking that you might want to separate the bodice from the skirt and then cut a few inches off (how many ever that you need to make the dress your perfect length) and then re-gather the skirt and sew it together. It would be so sad to see your beautiful split hem cut to accommodate a new hem. I hope that makes sense. All the best. Love your podcast. Thank you for sharing. ❤

      @karliepaige8269  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Heather! Oooh that is a great idea, thank you! I really don’t want to lose the split hem so that is a great option, thank you!!! 💕

    Hi Karlie, what a great flower tour! The color work socks probably won’t stretch much with blocking … and thanks for the honorable mention 😁

    Loved the flower farm tour, it gave me all the cottage core vibes ! And your finished batty tee looks so pretty, I’ll have a look at the DK version for an autumnal shirt maybe. I’m currently knitting my first garment with linen quill as well, and love the feel of it in my hands.

    There is a book called Custom socks that allows you to customize to specific measurements, but I think if you make the heel flap longer than you have more stitches to accommodate for your instep. Love love love your videos!❤

    Hi Karlie. In sewing the fold-back collar dress did you notice that she describes - under "Fabric used" on page 93 of the book - she used a tablecloth that was already hemed on all four sides. She explains how you would need to hem your fabric before sewing. Does this help?

    love your podcast, the flower farm is amazing.❤ I haven't knit colour work socks but generally I find colour work doesn't grow much with blocking, I would suggest going up a needle size, and watching Rosanne Richardson podcast she has talked about have high arches and how she modifies socks to fit.

    • @karliepaige8269
      @karliepaige8269  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! That is a great suggestion, I think I will have to go up a needle size for sure. Oh I will check that out, thank you so much! 💕

    Hi Karlie, how awful to hear you have chronique migraine. Please don't force yourself to do anything! I have 'post concussion syndrome' for over 7 years now, and I am recovering from long covid. Knitting helps me a lot, but all the online stuff that is going on has the opposite effect! That's why sometimes I watch your videos later, even though I want to click on them immediately. BTW I started the ripple crop top about 10 days ago, it's going well!

    • @karliepaige8269

      Awe I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been struggling with all that! That’s so challenging, I’m happy to hear knitting helps, I know it helps me a lot too - it’s so nice having an activity that can be done on the couch 😊
      Good luck on the ripple crop top! Happy knitting and thank you for your comment 💕🧶💕

    So many lovely works!! You are very productive!
    I was particularly in love with the Batty tee, which I'd love to make with long sleeves as a sweater.
    Also the colorwork socks look amazing! And your swatch for your niece, I love all those color pallettes :)
    What kind of needles do you use to make baby clothes? To me it feels like they're too small to be comfortable to make, but I'd be happy to hear it's really not.

    • @karliepaige8269
      @karliepaige8269  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you!!! ☺️
      For baby knits I always use needles that have a long cord, around 32” so I can do magic loop for sleeves and hats ☺️
